He was as anti-Semitic as the bastard who sired him. For example, while at the naval station in Florida he used to wake up Jewish personnel on Sundays for Mass. When the Catholic chaplain told him to stop it he argued, "But don't they have souls, Father?" Yes, he was a "hero" but his last mission was undertaken to best his brother who was already the hero of the PT109 incident.

Say,David-i went through all of my Kennedy books looking for stories regarding Joe's WWII training in Jacksonville FL.All i found was D.K.Goodman's account (Fitzgeralds & Kennedys) page 623 "As President of the Holy Name Society on the base,Joe was responsible for the waking up of Catholics in the barracks for the chaplain's early mass"......i'm 100% certain that J.P. Kennedy Jr. had more panache than to harangue the Jewish fellas, during Officer Training, with the country at war, pulling together like never before....So,i'm very interested in your published source for this story.

I'm 77 & lived through the "Kennedy years" of the 1960's! (I even saw JFK & Jackie on 10/12/62, before
the Columbus Day Parade, in NYC) I think that the Kennedy era has been turned into a myth & its reality
suppressed! I don't think RFK, jr. will make it! They have Gavin Newsome in mind!

How do you make such a statement? It's baffling. Would you care to compare ted, bobby and john as to the content of their character?

Joe’s personality seemed like a child who was forced to play baseball their entire life. Joe wouldn’t be able to take criticism and was jealous of his brother’s accomplishments. He wouldn’t be a good president imo

@@rarehistory3416Joe Jr. liked Hitler and praised his sterilization policies. That sounds like something that would be scandalous during his political career.
