The A1 is a beast of a camera. Not sure I'll ever be able to afford it though so will stick with my A7RIII.
If people don't start making negative reviews for this camera soon I'm gonna have to buy it and my wife will be very displeased with me

Well the negative is you’ll either get a divorce after the purchased and/or the silent treatment for awhile which I take back, might not be a bad thing.
On a serious note, for budget conscious buyers, I would think it’s the price. At $5000-$5500, I think this would sell more. The way Sony holds their prices, it’s 1.5-2yrs away before it reaches that level or in the aftermarket.
@@nomad0714 yeah agreed, the price is too steep. Though that price was set by canon Pro DSLR like the 1dx and whatnot which are probably also overpriced.
And good news they gave it a downside by making the a7riv screen the new better one but not the a1!

As you said, if you see this as a 3 camera in one (A7R4 + A92 + A7S3) then for someone who wants one body, this is perfect.
I have the A7R4 and A91 and contemplating if I should sell them off and get the A1, but then again I need a second body and perhaps just sell one off.
Do you like your two body arrangement of A7R4 + A92 or if you could, just have one body with A1?
Gerald mentioned he preferred to have two bodies even though he shoots video mostly with 2-3 A7S3 for his line of work.
Yeah i haven’t decided yet eh. I don’t think I’ll buy an A1 this year at least. I think if I was rich I’d definitely use 2 A1’s for sure. But the A9ii is totally fine for weddings

Along with professionals that have to buy their own equipment. Under $8,000.00 is a great buy.
Remember 20 years old, pro cameras like EOS-1VHS & F5 run around $2,000.00.
Now you have a microTV screen in the viewfinder.

Don’t you think the files are to big for wedding? Shooting with my 2 a9ii’s and really happy with it.. I mean you will have double the data file size and backupping time with this? Is that win in image quality that big to wanting to upgrade .. pure from a photographers point of view 😇

Weird question for this video maybe, but, how much do you like the Meike grip extension? I have LARGE hands and am looking for something for my A7RIV. Great video bro.
Yeah I have huge hands too. The grip is amazing

Can you do a comparison of the A7R4 vs this? I just bought a new A7R4 so just need to feel a bit better about my purchase, mostly watched your videos for my decision :)
I dunno if that would make you feel better lol but saying that the A7R4 is a beast and almost half the price. So its not really a fair comparison. I think overall the A7R4 would be a slightly better photo only camera

At 8:30 I think there's a mistake? As I understand it, you can't record Slog-3 S-Cinetone. Maybe you meant S-Gamut3. Cine, SLog-3?
S-Cinetone and SLog-3 are both color profiles, where SLog is similar to shooting RAW while S-Cinetone is a baked in "good out of camera" look, similar to shooting jpg.
No mistake. You can use SLOG3 and S-Cinetone as the colour space

I usually always use electronic, with the A9ii and A1 anyway, on the other cameras, A7 series I would almost never use it

But I ask myself, don’t you guys already do videos and photos as professional jobs?
Why won’t you go for it and make yourself work harder till you pay it?
Let’s say you buy the camera with two good lenses and some extras… it gets up to 10,000… is it that hard to make 10,000 a year on videos and photos?
Sorry if I sound ignorant or I don’t know… is just that I’m planning on buying it and I never had a camera before … so reading you guys it makes me nervous.
I do drone videos and lately, I been having a good amount of work, I feel if I combine my drone clips with the a1 I’ll be doing some nice and professional jobs.
What do you guys think?
Because it’s not necessary. It’s not going to make my work any better at all and clients certainly won’t notice it. It’ll make my job slightly easier and more fun but not enough to justify the cost.
I purchase gear when I need to replace something, or something has a specific job, it’s it’s not useful to me I won’t bother

On other models, you can't. You have to wait for the camera to finish writing.

image 6669 are not in focus on my screen?
The woman's eyes are in focus. The depth of field is quite shallow at f1.2 and the man's eyes are not exactly on the same plane of focus, they're a bit behind, so they're not perfectly sharp at 100%. But again, it doesn't really matter because the photos will be delivered at a lower resolution than 50MP I assume.

Whenever a new camera is announced, it suddenly becomes dream camera to many! A pathetic reality that indicates, photographers are declining in numbers!
Actually they are increasing.l Everyone has a camera and alotmore people like shooting than ever before. most people just arent welling to pay thousands for a camera device
What actually every Tom, Dick and Harry possesses is basically a cell phone. That device sports a toy camera as well. Common people are happy with that. But they are not photographers.
Dedicated camera buyers have declined sharply. That's the reason why manufacturers are fighting a survival battle. Olympus quit already, Nikon closed down Japan plant and relocated to Thailand and so forth.
The R5 comes close.
$8,100.00 US dollars body and memory cards.... God forbid NO! I'll wait till it drops down to $4,800.00. It's the worst financial decision of 2021, For $8k+ dollars go buy tesla stock, use your existing body then when the price drops sell the tesla stock then go buy it..... The difference between buying a Tesla Car and buying Tesla Stock 5 years ago... ... if you bought the stock; you'd be a millionaire; if you bought the car, you'd still owe $17,000.00 to tesla on a 6 yr finance.

@@njrtech you are absolutely right , Canon is not in the same League 👍👍Canon R5 and upcoming R1 are in a different league which Sony can’t dream of. It doesn’t beat any one of Canon 1DX3 or Nikon D6 especially when specs are only one aspect of the game and real shooting scenarios are entirely different game . Sony has a lot to catch up on build quality, ergonomics, functionality and usability. This is just an other blind photographer review or commercial as David said. Nothing comes close to it at this price point as R5 is ahead of it at almost half the price😂😂😂😂😂

It’s is not the best camera and it’s way over priced. There are lots of flaws in design and operation and all youtubers don’t talk about it and you are not an exception. R5 is ahead of it on many fronts especially ergonomics, functionality, price , grip and build quality. So don’t say it’s the best camera k in fact Nikon Z7ii is a good option too . Sony eye AF is the most overrated thing in camera industry. I have used them for the last 6 years and got rid of them last years .R5 is far better camera mate
