5 things I wish I knew.. 1. thumbnails are everything. 2.tags, titles, and description (seo) are the keys to being discoverable. 3. There's this thing called youtube studio I wasn't aware of. 4.How you look matters more than you think. 5. Expect a 10% ratio of views to subs, 4 likes for every 100 views is the average, very few people comment compared to views. Oh, and remember this: You are not as important as you think you are. People have their own lives and don't care about what you are posting so don't be so self conscious. Be your goofy self and post what makes YOU happy 😁

I have different emails and I didn’t connect that each email address created a different RUclips channel so I am all over the place. And tragedy struck, lost all my passwords and devices so I can’t even remember login information. You know Apple created strong passwords you can’t remember. But it is okay. I know now, and what I learned from that is I have something to say because in one of them I had 160+ subscribers, which means I have something relevant if people want to hear about. And that blesses me to just keep on keeping on my advice just put in how to start a RUclips channel and follow step-by-step. And don’t give up do what you love for whatever reason you want to do it you have to love it, just start ❤
I started my YT journey a week ago. I feel so stuck, just uploaded 3 random videos though I will focus on cooking ( looks I only know that and nothing else 😅). Got 3 subs. Many videos suggest putting in basic info ( I can't seem to locate that 😮).. I'm lost 😂 but won't give up. Good luck to all here.

I didn’t think I would have the time as I am so sick in my pregnancy, a mom to a 6 y0, a student and work a full time job and teach dance classes on the side BUT I decided to just start and try to not edit AT ALL. I use AI to create my tags. Everything in total takes an hour. I only post 1-2 times per week because it’s about the learning process in the beginning. Once I get better, and figure out how to find more time somewhere…then I will pump out more content. But it’s just raw for now. I kind of learned to like it. ❤ best of luck to you!

Something I wish I would’ve done when I started, is multistreaming. I made it seem so difficult in my head, but with a free OBS plugin, it’s pretty easy. If I would’ve multistreamed from the start, I’d probably have full RUclips monetization by now

Niche down. For example you love movies so you have a movie recaps channel (too broad). A subniche would be horror for example. Niche down more to Japanese horror. You get the point
So if I use metricool to post my edited videos to RUclips, will they music get copyright strikes? Am I better to just post directly to RUclips and use their audio library?

I think anyone can become an over night sensation if you put something out there that you know people like but also is unique so don’t just upload a trending game upload something with the goal of it being the new trend or a less popular trend that people are looking out for cause of the lack of it and grow from there

when you log on to RUclips on your desktop, click the picture of you in the top right hand corner and then click "youtube studio" :D
