I thinkn not more than 7.5 btw ... to my knowledge that's the air frames limit.
A hornet pilot was my instructor in little prop planes. My cessna was out so we used a stunt plane for my lesson out of John Wayne Int'l. Did a few little things ... no biggie, and then he suggested we did a loop. Which, was just a few G in the first quadrant. Less in the 2nd. Freefall over the top (amazing, unlike anything I'd seen ... watching the world flip up underneath me) through the 3rd quadrant... and pulled over 6.5 G in the 4th quadrant. During which, I'd forgotten to hold my lower LIP UP! Which fell down!!! lol. As soon as it was done, so I was I. I was instantly nauseous, and it took all my focus to not throw up on the plane. After I got home, I was literally exhausted and needed to relax for the rest of the day. It was WILD. I don't know if it was just me ... or what. I'm sure I could've acclimated to it ... but that first experience was shocking.

I'm always amazed at shows like this demonstrating extreme levels of humans " flying " but I also wonder what Orrville and Wilbur would have thought if they were at a show like this.

I'm curious to know why they are using a two-seat aircraft for the demo. Usually, two-seat aircraft(F/A-18) are used as training aircraft.
The F model is deployed on US aircraft carriers along with the E model. The back seater in the F is the weapons system officer or WSO for short.
This demo was awesome. Cleveland had a great lineup this year. Thanks for posting this!

The US aviation industry is unique in the entire world, in every way
no one ever comments on how incredibly quiet they are as they approach you.
But ... that was the first thing I noticed at the only air show I ever went to despite being stationed at MCAS Miramar.
