Bischoff couldn't have sued Flair into oblivion, Ric's ex-wives had already beat him to it.
His ex-wives and himself.
Lol yep
Wooooo!
Why even get married really
Damn lol whoooo
I can see Arn guarding the door and then pretending he was heading over to break the fight up. The Enforcer! 😂
❤❤❤❤
"If im gonna have a heart attack. Its going to be on your girlfriend pal. Wooooo" - Ric Flair
“Eric Bischoff’s Kung fu grip didn’t do shit to Ric Flair”. 😂
Ric would destroy bitchoff. FACTS!!
@@lindachapmon3203 Ric Flair was many things, but he was simply not a tough guy or a fighter, fact...
@@drexlspivey5828 Sure....but neither was Bischoff
@@drexlspivey5828 flair was pretty tough..
" I know kung fu"..
Ric should have had a fight with Jim Herd instead
Honestly, having Flair on a WWF ppv while still under contract in 1998 would have been one of the best moments in the WCW/WWF war. The closest WCW ever came to that was having Sable in the front row, and that pales in comparison to what this could have been.
It would've knocked The Curtain Call into a cocked hat
Bet she had her white cottons on too.
It would have been epic if Flair showed up at that WWF PPV. Another chapter in the WCW/WWF Saga. WCW would have sued Flair for that stunt but it is possible that Vince would have paid the judgment for Flair.
Vince accepting Bischoff's challenge to show up and fight at Slamboree would've topped everything.
I think the coolest thing was when they were doing Nitro one time and DX showed up at the arena in full military garb with a Jeep and a big gun! WCW locked the doors so they couldn't get in but I think they should have just let them in and go right up to the ring!
I remember Ric mentioning in his book “To Be The Man” after he attacked Bischoff that Vince had asked him if there’s anyone else in the company he wants to attack and he had said Hulk Hogan for beating his son David in the ring with his weight belt.
Hogan sliced David open with the buckle and he needed stitches, and he only begrudgingly apologised after Savage got involved. Apparently Vampiro, Sting and Scott Steiner were all telling Hogan at least shake David's hand and getting nowhere when Savage pushed him to the floor and said if he didn't go and see David he'd get the others to hold him down and whip all the skin off his back.
@@Djarra as if anyone in wcw would do that to hogan .
@@graham2sexy955
Are you kidding; there probably would have been a queue; and, if WCW had auctioned off the rights to do it, they could have made all the money back that they lost haha.
@@Djarra Where did you get this story from? I'm not saying I don't believe it, I just want to know the source.
@@ElmoKnowsWhereYouLive5150 I think it was the 'Nail in Coffin' shoot Vampiro did a while ago, although it might have been another one. He said he and Scott would have helped Randy whip Hogan raw. Lanny had a slightly less dramatic version, on a podcast, where Savage just verbally berated Hogan and it was Scott who said that the three of them would beat Hogan (Lanny didn't mention Sting, just Vampiro.)
I'm not sure of the match date, but it is obvious that David is open up quite badly.
Ric Flair in the WWF during the Attitude Era could've worked. The promos between Rock and Flair would've been very fun to watch. I wonder if Foley and Flair would've worked had they feuded. I'm not sure if it was later on in both of their careers there was heat or if it started around or before 1998.
"I'm taking karate classes online." - Bischoff
I say that to people all the time. 😂😂
He got his black belt from University of Phoenix.
He got his black belt from a Masterclass by Aaron Sorkin.
Oh yea him
I wanted to take online Kung Fu lessons but I only had enough money to learn Kung
Jim is Awesome. I can listen to him talk all damn day and it never gets boring.
I wish these were animated cause I love the Cornette paint animation.
Love the Terry Funk vs Jerry Lawler reference at the end.
@Ray Robinson several things:
1. It was unexpected. Just out the freaking blue due to Flair gouging at Bishoff's beatty lying eyes.
2. He does a damned good impression. This was on par with his Dusty impression.
3. Growing up in the Memphis area, it's an ode to what I feel was the best territory and the fist ever empty arena match.
@Ray Robinson I said "was the best territory. " So if you think Ohio was a better territory than Memphis in the 70s, 80s, or even 90s it would be laughable. I'm sure ohio is a better territory now but now sucks every where.
We’re talking 70’s and 80’s, and NO fucking territory touched Memphis back then.
Never threatened to sue someone Into a poor house that had actually came from poverty
wasn't Flair from money though?
@@DAKINS896 Flair was a foundling
Flair was adopted and his father was a physician.
That idea with Ric and Reid at the PPV in Greensboro would have been amazing if they would have been allowed to do it.
The Flair interview idea sounded great!
I’ve heard Arn talk about this. He said Flair told him to watch the door 2 seconds before it happened and he had no idea what was going on. He was very upset because he felt Ric had put his job on the line and didn’t even ask him about first. You could tell he was still upset by it.
LMAO@Corny's impressions "he got my eye!!!!!"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Flair wasn't much of a dad, but I'm glad he went to reid's match
That is surprisingly wholesome, telling WCW to bugger off because he wanted to be there for his son.
@Kerry Burnette Truly I don't think anyone cared for David. I mean, remember his music and tron?
@Kerry Burnette that's a big assumption I'm pretty sure he loves all his kids equally
@Kerry Burnette you first
@Kerry Burnette does it matter
Eric saying that was very wrong, guys like konnan drew huge crowds in Mexico.
''AAHHOOOWW PAL, GET HIM ON DA PHONE''
Ric Flair spoke of this fight in his book. But the real first was in WWE. Eric Bishoff basically said he was going to make the Flair family starve in WCW. Now in WWE Ric Flair could really get him back. Ric Flair did that. It was a behind the scenes type thing. But Flair's book talks about it. It was in late 2002. To be a man was his book that mentioned it. He said Eric was doing something with lesbians so I would say September 2002. Because Eric did that Lesbian bit then.
While Ric was going for the eyes was he telling Bischoff "Fire me! I'm already fired!"
That was such a great segment.
Love that Arn was watching the door like a G. Lol
Eric's training did get him comfortable with the idea of taking a punch. That offer made DDP Eric's friend. But no art can strengthen the eye
So jim would have prefered a fight on table for 3 instead of eric being the bigger man and trying to bury the hatchet and make the show and situation more amicable and professional? Ok...sorry but i gotta give credit to eric for being the bigger man. Its easy to fight and argue but it takes a wiser man to look past that and try to mend things.
I think Roddy and Jim talked about Bischoff on Roddy's podcast? Roddy mentioned Bischoff pointing at Hogan, Savage and him as the only ones there who ever drew money, with Roddy thinking that was a bullshit thing to do. Jim's appearances on Hot Rod's show are solid gold.
Bischoff forgot Sting.
@@BenBrislawn-xd2iz Sting was never a draw,
@@jb0609 what is your definition of draw because you might see it different than me?
Yes I am a little biased because Sting is my favorite wrestler of all time. But he was always at the top of WCW when people came and left and he won the heavyweight title 7 times which is still significant.
Sting was a draw. He kept WCW afloat for years before Hogan got there
@@gerilynnlaporte9346 Biggest star in the company for 3 years
When you're a kid hulk hogan is your hero and flair is a despicable villain in wrestling. Once you are an adult you realize they were the opposite in real life.
That’s why i hate getting old
Yeah we've heard some stories about Flair burying people and holding them down but Hogan is universally renowned for it. All Hogan has to say are the magic words..... That's not gonna work for me brother. And that's a wrap
@@gerilynnlaporte9346 Hogan biggest draw in history of business he can drop his nuts if he wants to.
You know Flairs old school if he tries to gouge out a guys eyes
Anyone who watched their Table For 3 saw that Bischoff wasn't intimidated by Cornette. He just didn't go into that holding any real malice towards Jim.
🤔
Also, at least Bschoff reached out to Flair after Reed died. Arn and Tully didn't give a shit.
“He got my eye Lance, he got my gotdamn eye” 🤣🤣🤣
Bischoff never really had the makings of an varsity athlete..
how many got that one. IDK RIP James G.
Great Comment 👍 I laughed spit coffee out my mouth
Small hands. That was his problem
Hahahaha!!!
Those wrestlers were 7 feet tall!
I remember going to a WCW show where almost none of the big stars showed up. Bischoff was very selective about how he enforced stars no showing. Basically Flair is the only person he ever came down on. Hall, Nash, Hogan, Savage, Luger, Sting, Raven, and Roadblock could be too drunk or hung over to make a show and Eric was OK with that.
Surprised to hear Cornette saying Vince is more aggressive than Bischoff. I would have thought Vince was even more likely to play the friendly politician.
I could believe that. Especially after hearing that Vince tried to attack Harley Race.
RUclips the Bob Costas interview.
Roided Vince, Which is practically
Everyday Vince for a majority of the last 40 years of his life, Is a BEAST when he's confronted.. I mean the man named his newest venture ALPHA ENTERTAINMENT.
Vince seems more assertive and in your face to me than Bischoff, Bischoff seems to me like he can be a more friendly guy when he wants to
Travis always killing the artwork!
JC always looks like he's up to no good in this artwork
“Aughhhhhh Pal gethimonthephone”
🤣
Ric was beating Eric's ass while, Arn was watching the door...
That is a throwback to the, 4 horsemen days!
He got my eye Lance, he got my godd**m eye....I'm dyin'. LOL
It might be on the DVDs WWE has made about Ric, where Ric talked the whole thing with, Ric wanting to see his son wrestle for a state high school championship (?). If I remember right, Ric said he cleared taking the day off with the WCW office well ahead of time.
Ric was really happy when wcw went under.. Behind the scenes.
Karate is good if you want to score points in a tournament. That's about it.
in MMA the grapplers mostly win against the strikers
Am sure it was a Thunder taping (of all things) Flair missed.
Bischoff didn't care that Flair had to miss the show he was just being a prick and bustin balls cause he could. He didn't like Flair so he was just wreck chasing. Lookin for drama
Yes, it was a taping of Thunder.
and Bischoff needed Ric to come in because otherwise he was stuck with Disco and Alex Wright.
Apparently in 2003 Flair confronted Bishoff backstage at Raw and attacked him. Apparently, Bishoff, according to some reports started to get the better of him but it was broken up. Bishoff then confronted him in catering and it was broken up.
I don't think this version of the story. isn't entirely true. I could be wrong.
In defense of Eric, Jim wasn't exactly going at Eric with much vitriol during the table for 3 either, he was pretty mild. And when Jim mentioned something that pissed him off about Eric that he had heard Eric did not hesitate to call out Jim's misinformation and how it was just a rumor that "the boys" made up to get him riled up. And when you watch (unless they edited it this way) Jim doesn't have a comeback and just sort of smiles because he knows Eric got him.
Yea because that's always Eric's defense in every situations that he "doesn't remember". Here he played with the facts that he was doing something else. lol So he did not adress the issue heads on of what Cornette was talking about.
The real tragedy here is I had no idea corny had done table for 3! Gotta check that out
It's great
It's great. It's Bischoff, Corny and Michael Hayes is in between the two and you can tell he's just there to potentially break up any fight that may occur.
"Fire me, I'm already fired. Fire me, I'm already fired!"
Ernest Miller was the instructor to Eric’s son hence the job
Unfortunately the story was flair threw fist and missed everything. Flair was on a podcast with bischoff and not once did flair dispute the notion of connecting on bischoff.
Exactly. Eric didn't even try to fight back lol. Flair just embarrassed himself.
@@MrFoxxx47 ATM Eric is a proven liar, fraud and conman. Dave Meltzer has exposed and owned him multiple times.
@@MattSingh1 except in this case even Jim Ross who broke up the altercation said nothing had happened also
Flair should have put Bischoff in the Figure-Four.
3:18 Possibly the first and only time in history Jim does an impression of Vince McMahon having a booking orgasm.
Vintage Vince. Willing to screw over the other company by allowing them on his TV when it suits, but not when the other company is trying to do it to him.
Cornette is a wrestling savant.
It's entertaining listening to him explain countless events! Whether they be major or minor, Cornette has that style that grips you and before you know it you have listened to Jim for nearly an hour and you still wanna hear more.
I'm pretty fucked up right now. Hopefully when I wake up tomorrow this comment will still make sense hahahaha
Good day, folks!
Well it's 2 years later and it's still making sense. Cheers mate
Makes perfect sense on 5.15.23
Still makes sense summer 24'. Cornette's mind is just as sharp as when you made this comment.
Wasn't Ernie Catt Bischoof's kid's karate teacher?
I am sorry ... I think Bischoff would have kicked Vince McMahon's ass. As for the Flair thing. From what I heard of the story. Bischoff had no idea Flair was going to attack him and he was seated. So there was no real way to defend himself.
Ending with a quote from Terry Funk.
I would have payed good money to see Flair beat the Hell out of Bischoff.
There's a match on wcw nitro
Whoooooo ric flair the legend
Wwwwwwoooooooo
“0-life” 😭😂😂
Eric bishoff has said that Flair didnt land a punch during this. For people that want to know more this was discussed by conrad thompson on an early episode of Arn. Eric said there was very little to this fight.
I don't remember where I heard it, but I remember Bischoff claimed that Earnest Miller taught both him and his son.
Highly doubt it. Earnest miller taught his son but Bischoff was a tournament competitor long before he met miller.
We all have our moments ,but time tells the story on each one of us! And in the end how you will be remembered is what’s important! Or at least it is to me!
Was that a Terry Funk impression at the end?
"Kung fu grip"! 😄😄😄
Cornette is pretty much wrong on every detail in the video, as he usually is when talking about that time in the business as bitterness doesn't allow him to see reality as it happened. In the table for 3 show Bischoff pretty much shut him down when telling him that he got worked by talent. Cornette was the one who mentioned Russo. And the Flair/Eric 'fight' as confirmed by both and Arn was nothing like it was claimed.
.
Stick to talking about the current product Jim, at least it's somewhat accurate.
Jim Cornette is the most entertaining wrestling personalities out there, but he comes off as a guy who's cutting a promo all the time because he's one of the best in the world at cutting promos. But also he's a malcontent and likes to burn bridges for little stuff. He was very docile, very uncharacteristic Cornette, against Bischoff on the Table for 3.
@@AngelMartinez-fl7vg Cornette doesn't work in a debate setting as his arguments/claims on that time are usually easily falling apart as they're factually inaccurate. His recollection of the period he worked in the industry is like a different dimension to reality, be it Russo, Bischoff, Monday Night Wars, TNA, early 90s WCW etc. He's either too emotionally invested or playing up a character. Either way I don't think it's an issue as I believe most are listening to Jim for entertainment value.
.
I agree with a lot of what he says about today's industry, right more often than not. I prefer to hear his perspective on that.
Love your work mann but I wanna now why do you hate jim cornette ?
@@priyadarshidash4353 I don't hate Jim at all, very entertaining, but it's impossible to take him seriously on the period he worked in the business if you know the real timeline of events as he never got over how some things unfolded.

The on air fight is a work with people in Fatrad's podcast network.
Bischoff got his black belt from the Levi store while buying a pair of 501's.
Bit weird hearing this from Cornette when there is footage of him squealing like a panicked schoolgirl when Santino was just trying to talk to him.
Skipping Raw incident is roughly around that time Flair told Angle to stay away from WCW

Just love it when they use questions that have already been answered but the five questions i keep sending that Jim has never answered never make the program.
It's new to me and nonetheless a heartwarming anecdote.
Going to see his son wrestle or gauging Bischoff's eye? Lol.
@@Scott__C - You know it.
Flair has his financial woes facing bankruptcy called Vince McMahon and asked for a personal loan , Vince granted the loan and it must of been a significant amount bc Vince told Ric he wouldn't loan Shane this much 🤣
Everything Ric did for the NWA/WCW the entire locker room should have jumped Bischoff and beat the shit out of him
Does anyone know why there is no video these?
Always a cool drawling
Bischoff was a Mark for the WWE boys. Never cared about the 4 Horsemen, Rock n Roll, Midnight, etc.
I disagree with Jim on 1 thing; Sonny Ono was a great heel manager.
the artwork is great.
At under 18 Bischoff had nothing to do with Bruce Lee, whom died in 1973.
"Kung fu" might look fierce in the movies but not so much in the street
the host sounds just like eddiie trunk
If your not there no point in relaying what you heard - I heard both sides of the story and I don't trust either of their accounts.
I know you're a busy man Jim but can you please review the Viking Raiders vs. Street Profits Backlash match? I can only wait so patiently for your opinion on this masterpiece.
According the Bischoff Flair never really touched him.
To be fair to Eric he is pretty forthright in regards to this story. It doesnt differ to Jim's here when he tells it himself in regards to the fight.
Lyrical gold at Bruce Lee’s teacher 😂😂☠️
Ric Flair worked himself into a frenzy. I always chuckle when thinking about Bischoff telling us that Flair was throwing working punches.
Flair was being totally unproffesional and I don't think he could have taken Eric so easily.
Sorry, Jim. You are being biased.
It was the Tulsa Nationals. A kid from my pee-wee Wrestling club actually beat Reid there. On the award stand pic, Flair posed with them.
Crazy how good cornette’s memory is of all of these events lol he sounds the exact same also
I forget... Did knockouts count on that one ?
ERIC BISCHOFF'S KUNG FU GRIP DIDN'T DO SHIT! HAHAH
Flair and Bischoff hated each other
they get alone today pretty well. they were in difficult positions in the business at the time. hard to be friebds in their situation.
I wonder who would win in a fight: Eric Bischoff or Shawn Michaels
Love the podcast clips. This is about as much of the product I bother with now.
16 time world champion..... remember that. Enough said.
Even more if you don't go off WWE record
22 time world champ rem that
Why would you screw over one of the greatest pro wrestlers of all time for wanting to see his son in a big moment in the son's young life?
All Martial Arts are useless in a fight. Bruce Lee said that he had no clue what he would do in an actual fight.
