Bought my MK7R back in 2016, I’ve done plenty of mods to it and it’s currently at a level that I’m happy with. Watched a lot of your videos during my modding phase and learnt a lot from you. They’re great cars, we even bought my mum a MK8 R-Line Golf recently and she’s loving it!

Hey, bro. Thanks for all the great videos. Have been following you since I was one the first 500 just like you. Mine was with Unitronic Stage 1+ ECU & DSG Tune, PS4S tires and some minor DIYs... On Presidents' Day, I did trade it in for the 2021 Audi SQ5 due to the potentially growing family. Yeah, I still drive a blue VW.
Hey zed4me, I watched your vids way back as well when I got my R. My R is also a launch edition car, so I always thought it was cool that we both have 1 of the 500 made. Shame you got rid of it but you have to move upwards and onwards to better things!

Yea you and I both got the golf r at launch. Miss that car. But for my fat ass the seats were very uncomfortable for my back. But now I’m in a 2020 highlander platinum awd. Wish you the best with the Tesla. I’ll be there one day.
We almost got a highlander hybrid! But then we got a honda pilot to replace our old one that got totaled

I also got the model Y, for a while. It’s easy to drive, but whenever I took the R out for a run, it always beats the Y for the fun. But since I have the Y, I am considering replacing the R with a more sport orientated car. Maybe a two seater. I think that will accomplish my car adventure.
I don’t think the heavy Tesla (though feels 0 weight in front lines) can replace the R

Why pass on the 2022 golf r?
For a few reasons, one it doesn't look as good as the MK7 for me, two it is getting absurdly expensive, and three it is too small for my family now

Not many can afford a Tesla, not many will be interested in what you do to a Tesla that most folks cant afford. Enjoy your car. Ill stick to my golf r.
That Tesla may be very fast, but it is very ugly. It does not even have instruments in front of you when you're behind the wheel. That alone is a no no to me. If you really have to have a electric car, I would buy a Polestar 2. Much nicer dashboard.
