    If you're going through border control (Visitor in Transit visa)
    You might need a Visitor in Transit visa if you’re:
    changing flights in the UK on your way to another country;
    going through UK border control, for example to check in your luggage for a connecting flight;
    leaving the UK within 48 hours;
    not working or studying while in the UK
    more info here: www.gov.uk/transit-visa

    As a note, this transfer is for people who are in the public spaces outside the passenger area. If you have a connecting flight you would normally follow the Flight Connections signs on arrival and take the transfer bus, rather than going through the Arrivals channel and leaving the terminal.

      Does this apply to all terminals

    • @ib9rt
      @ib9rt 3 месяца назад

      @@joshuanesbit Yes. If you arrive at Heathrow for a connecting flight, then when you get off the plane you will follow the signs for "Flight Connections" (purple signs). If your connecting flight leaves from a different terminal you will directed to a transfer bus to take you to that terminal. You will have to go through a security check on the way.

      @@ib9rt okay thank you - hypothetically what would happen if you arrive from say ediburgh on a domestic arrival is it still possible to go through to connections or will you end up landside?

    • @ib9rt
      @ib9rt 3 месяца назад

      @@joshuanesbit I don't know, I have not done that. You should probably ask your airline. At the end of the day, when you arrive at Heathrow you can either follow signs or ask an agent for help. They are not going to leave you guessing.

    Very nice and simple to understand video. I think you are just showing how to transfer from T5 via free train to T2-T3.
    If you booked 2 separate tickets and 2 different airlines, then you have to go to immigration, baggage claim, customs if anything to declare, follow this transfer, go check in either T2 or T3. If you are not sure, always ask help at the first check in.
    If you have same tickets then your luggage will be forwarded to final destination(always tell the agent at check in of your final destination). You just follow flight connections either to T2-T3 and not this procedure.

      For foreigners (outside UK National/Residential) you'll need an visitor visa (48h version) as i've read from gov.uk.
