      Hi Russel! Super good Tutorial! Thank you ! I tried to change my morphs but don't have the icon to update "lock-in" the expression. Do you, or some one else in this thread have any ideas why? I work on CC4 so it should be there right?

    Hi Russell, I love your videos! Could you tell me how you are scaling the eyes and pupils on your characters? Also, when I try to scale a bone as part of an expression, I’m getting a save error. I have to move teeth over, but if I scale them, it errors when saving out the updated blend shape.

      Thanks Jeremy! Oh gosh, I find that I like to work in Blender to affect scale, then import it back again into CC4. Oh that's interesting, I'm not sure I've tried that, I'll poke around and see what I can find!

    Hey! great job, you actually clarified a lot there for me about the fbx export/import, I've been working with CC4 on fixing hyper realistic blends for my team and I didn't quite get a grasp on that up until now. Lastly, since I'm a harcore Zbrush user and it's one of my primary tools in the studio, and also reallusion focuses on that a lot (GoZ), I've tested the GoZ button of the facial expressions editor, I was able to sent the model to zbrush, modify it, but when I try to GoZ it back to CC4 I always get errors... Have you tried that and could you please make a video on how to use that function, I love how you cut the cheese and go straight to the point. Thanks so much and keep it up!

      Not really sorry! I did a short one called Roundtrip, goes over how you can take a base character in CC3 and then change it in Blender to make it your own, then import it back into CC3.

    great video! But I have a problem while following these steps: the expression slider no longer affects the bones after importing it back into CC4. For example, "Jaw open" affects the morph, but no longer opens the mouth or moves the jaw downwards. Do you have any solutions for this? many thanks in advance

      Oh hmm interesting, and the weighting is all there and hasn't changed?

      Found a solution: In my case, I had to export the FBX via the "Facial Profile Editor" as "FBX with Frame Sequence". This gives you a keyframe for each shapekey on each frame in the Blender timeline. If you then edit these, the bone transforms will also work when you import them back into CC4.
