Man that small detail at 12:19 when you see Akiyama's lip tremble a bit, like he's been holding himself from crying when all of the yakuza around him bowed down in front of him in respect for saving the country. It's that moment he finally felt appreciated for the work he did without intention of a personal gain.
1:11 I like the voice acting there cause he genuinely sounds out of breath...but he's still got enough to go one last round with the big ugly bastard. And honestly, after all the shit he's pulled over Akiyama's story, it was super satisfying to put him down once and for all. And the soundtrack nails the do or die feel of the fight: end it right here, right now to save the town.
I might be in the minority on this, but aside from Saejima, this might be my favorite of the final bosses in Yakuza 5. The atmosphere of Akiyama holding out against waves of these goons, determined to protect his town, with that beautiful touch of the piano in the background and snow falling all around... It's perfect. Top that off with Watase, the Omi Alliance, the Tojo Clan, and every other lone yakuza in Kamurocho cornering Kanai and making him realize he's screwed, and you have one of my favorite final bosses in the entire franchise.
Does anyone else think the line "Maybe this'll make me into a town legend" is just Akiyama acknowledging his legendary status and sarcastically remarking about it to his future shoe ornaments? Or is everyone else right for reading super far into this
Akiyama deserved better in Yakuza 5, for example having his own full chapter instead of it being shared with Haruka. But he definitely went out with a bang in this game. This is such a satisfying fight. After all the shit Kanai has pulled, you get to put him down for good this time. And it really feels like a fight you *can't* lose. The cherry on top is that this fight takes place in the very same area where we first played as Akiyama in Yakuza 4 when we fight those loan sharks.
I just started Yakuza 5 and Jesus Christ I died 9 times just to get the fucking tiger drop.... I can see why people say this is the hardest yakuza game.
@@montomotry5378 all yakuza games are pretty easy tbh, yakuza 3 isn't really much harder, most of the time enemies literally just stand there doing nothing and blocking, which you can get past in multiple ways, such as the circle button or baiting an attack to counter or dodge behind them, they don't even do much damage when they hit so it's really not that hard. To clarify, I played on hard and it was the first Yakuza I played on hard mode and honestly I did enjoy it (especially the last chapter) after blasting through 0, K1 and especially K2 which is the easiest game imo
I was so frustrated with this Kanai boss fight as Akiyama when I first played 5. Playing as a character whose main thing was juggling opponents against an opponent that is too heavy to juggle.
I could not stand this boss fight, as someone who just mained saejima and kiryu, I didn’t really upgrade akiyama. So you could tell how bad this fight was

The "do or die" feel you mentioned is one reason why I prefer this fight to the other final bosses. I love that sense of urgency.
Majima has had his last brawl.
Baba has had some sense knocked into him.
Kanai has been shown who's boss.
Only one thing left to do...
Karaoke.

Ya did it, Akiyama.
You're a legend now.
3:47 the moment Akiyama-san became, A LEGEND.
Akiyama has his very own Yakuza 1 moment
Fucking true
Elaborate
@drandescancelled2825 kiryu fought and defeated a mob in yakuza 1, akiyama is does the same in 5 but with swag
7:30 Now that is THE heat action.
6:48 So, this is where majima's nife kicking heat action comes from
OOOOOOSEEEEIIII
It's also Higashi's QTE in Judgement.
I cant help but feel like that the enemy A.I in Yakuza 5 feels much more smarter and more real than any of the other games
A.I in yakuza 3 requires skills :0
@@journeyvids9737 yes..skillz like..
SQUARE-SQUARE-SQUARE-TRIANGLE-TRIANGLE
I appreciated that a lot in 5
Couldn't stand how A.I. will literally just stand there even if you bait out attacks in the other games, especially 4
Fun fact: If you pair two enemy aggression accessories together, the enemy ai will actually become smarter and more harder to beat.
@@Ashoingbob 4? Bro in that game groups actually fight like how groups do.
End of Rematch will always be my favourite final boss OST right next to Battle for the Dream
Gotta give props to akiyama he certainly puts in that effort
The song in this fight is really hype
Kanai - The Kuze of Yakuza 5
Except he's nowhere nearly as interesting.
Kuze with a touch of Shimano.

Kiryu and Akiyama's winded animations after the first fight look like they have indigestion and are drunk respectively, lol,

the one dislike was Kanai
Akiyama game when!!!???
Gotta love how Akiyama does his little ''Shulsh!'' when the Feel the Heat! pops up at the end while he's grabbed.
I just started Yakuza 5 and Jesus Christ I died 9 times just to get the fucking tiger drop.... I can see why people say this is the hardest yakuza game.
Yakuza 5? nah. it's really easy like yakuza 4.
The hardest game is 3, not 4 or 5 they’re both pretty easy, save for the section in 4 that everyone knows about.

Akiyama , we need him back!
The vermilion bird bares it's talons as a guardian of Kamurocho.
I awalys thought he kicks so much makes me think that his legs are flexible
Let’s go! Endgame time, everyone!
He was awsome character

Kamon Kanai (End of Rematch).
Im baffled why they didn't include a dynamic intro for this, I mean it's Akiyama's last boss.
Akiyama got pretty shafted in this game overall, having to share a chapter with Haruka and his “final boss” of course.
Especially with Shinada too
but they gave the most forgettable villain fight which was aizawa vs saejima a dynamic intro
@@drawer29 yeah tbh, the final boss of this game was so forgettable
@@JudicialBrat as a character but the final boss fight was good
I wonder why akiyama and shinada weren't given dynamic intros for there final bosses, considering this game only has 4.

IKUZO, KANAI!

kiryu and akiyama beat up some guys again man ;((
So disappointed kanai didn't die.
