A good review is your honest opinion on the subject.

Cool-Aid drinking Bambu Boy here. Thanks for the review. I think I’ll be picking one of these up until Bambu makes something larger.
Klipper isn’t as scary as it seems. You seem like a smart guy and I’m sure you can pick it up pretty quick. I had planned on building a voron, but I just don’t have the time. About to watch the next video you posted. Thanks again.

Thank you for watching and for the feedback! I kind of want to build a 400 or 500mm build volume SV08. Not sure how hard it would be. Really hoping Qidi comes out with a big X-Max 4 to follow their newest Plus 4.

1:39 with that being said; buying the first batch is a great way to later get a free replacement once all the kinks have been ironed out
None tinker 3D printers really don’t exist. Even the ones fan bois say “just work” won’t for long, and you will have to tinker. Period

Don't sell yourself short brother, it takes an incredible level of intelligence to develop the type of humility to recognize what you don't know, courage to put yourself out there for all to see, and perseverance to fix shit when it doesn't work right. I don't care how smart someone is if they are arrogant about it, it shows a lack of intelligence and no one wants to deal with an insufferable bastard who gets off on making others feel bad for knowledge they lack. Owning your mistakes and acknowledging that you don't know everything is far more valuable than a high iq. The idea that if i learned the hard way you should have to as well is stupid. Most of the time it is the same effort to help someone out as it is to make a snide remark about common sense and as a generality folks should be more helpful or say nothing at all. Anyway, thanks for making your review, it is very helpful to those of us who are on the fence about the product. Godspeed and happy making!

100% agree with you in everything, I was one of the first in europe to get a SV08 (beside the beta testers) , had my share of isuses but the thing that pisses me most off is that there is no bigger nozzle options for the hardend thread type yet ,most 350x350 platform users will go for a 0.6mm I think its always a good option when using carbon , glass or kevlar added filament , and yes I can go with other styles of nozzles but like you ..nahh not really my thing , and yes I have contatced Sovol about this and its not an option, it makes no sense at all 🤦‍♂

I just added the Microswiss hotends on mine and it was worth the upgrade. Easy to do and I’ve seen a difference. My SV08’s still have some interesting quirks though.

What are some good SV08 groups? I have just bought a SV08 hot end from Micro Swiss, haven't installed it yet. Got some hardened nozzles from them with it.

I’m part of a Sovol Facebook group. Very knowledgeable people in the group. m.facebook.com/groups/6997076173737632/

I have been looking for my second printer and something with a large build volume. My first and only is a Replicator 2 which I bought shortly after release, and definitely consider a tinker printer...I've not really upgraded more than the friction feeder on it and recently had to splice the x axis wire bundle that finally gave in. The thing has failed prints so many times but like an old Toyota won't die. Is there a better alternative than the Sovol for a similar volume at +/- 20% $$$? I want something large volume with some monitoring and not a bed slingler.

So far the SV08 and the K2 Plus are the only CoreXY 350x350 build volume printers that I’ve seen newly released. I have a K2 Plus on order so I’ll test that out as well but I think the SV08 has the potential to be great. Micro Swiss just released a drop in hotend for the SV08 and I’ve ordered two of them. I’m just waiting for Qidi Tech to release a 350x350 CoreXY and I’ll sell all of these and buy strictly those printers. But as of right now only a 325x325 is available through them. The X-Max 3 is a great printer right out of the box though. They’re my workhorses! The Qidi Tech X-Plus 4 is brand new and has a 305x305 build volume. I’m tempted to order that one and try it as well. The features on it are incredible.

@@OuterRimArmorer Thanks for these recommendations- I'll definitely look into the Qidi as the 350 of the Sovol would be nice but coming from the relative peanut volume of my Replicator2 (I am currently piecing a mask from 6 damn pieces I sliced in zbrush) 300+ will seem immense.

Hey @wyldwulf! That's awesome that your replicator is still going. I recently revived my old Replicator 2x clone and installed klipper on it. I was surprised at how much the firmware upgrade did for my print speed and quality. Just wanted to share since you're running something really similar.

Sovol hot GLUED all the parts and wires to my board
No joke, I can't change the fan because they hot glued the wires to the board.
    (And EVERYTHING else as well)

I have noticed an unusual amount of glue on my hotend assembly wire connectors. 🤦‍♂️

I have a warped bed and I don't have to use a raft, do you have your squish set perfectly, I also bought a Biqu build plate, I'm like you I don't like changing software stuff in klipper, see some of these people grew up with clipper from version one or whatever and slowly got drip fed The commands how to mess with the config and all that and we're getting almost perfect version of it that means minor little tweaks, some of these " smart people " need to do a video titled klipper 101
