Hey guys! This is part TWO of my huge perfume declutter, the first one is linked below ⬇️! These are all of the fragrances I've let go of from my perfume collection. I give a bit of a review of everything I decluttered and why it ended up not working out for me, even if they're great perfumes! That's 18 perfumes gone! Do you have any fragrances you regret buying?

It’s so so bad. Made me incredibly nauseous
RDA smells nothing and I mean nothing like intense cafe, there is not coffee in it. It’s more boozy vanilla
I love your honesty! Mainly because you’re brutally honest with why it didn’t work for you but without tearing down the fragrance itself. Brava 👏🏼 I wish I could be better about letting go of frags that I don’t absolutely love all of the time but I think my collection would be so small since I’m so moody with my fragrances and the time of year that I wear them.

It sucks when a perfume “betrays” you and becomes too much of a certain note and you no longer love it. I’m scared that it will happen with some of my favorites. 😩

The opposite happened to me with angels share! At first I hated it and could only smell apple pie, but then it macerated a bit and grew on me as a beautiful fall holiday fragrance
I decluttered Angels Share last month too lol… Loved it and fell out of love and never reached for it.
I can respect someone who's willing to declutter something that's not for them (regardless if someone else likes it). I've seen too many youtubers who have kept fragrances they know they don't like (or won't wear) just because a significant other likes them (they'll like others), it's discontinued, the bottle design or it was a gift. The only way I could understand the gift part is if it came from someone who's passed away (R.I.P) and the memories associated
Thank you! I definitely want to get my money's worth as well as actually use up and love the products that I buy, so I don't feel bad decluttering it if it's not for me. I get anxiety if I have a bunch of stuff lying around that I don't use!
Omg Angel was my signature scent in high school in the ‘90’s. And yes, HUGE patchouli bomb. It’s way too much for me now, but 17 year old me LURVED it

Angel share is my night out signature . Even wear it in summer time and it is gorgeous in warm weather .
That medicinal quality is the best thing about Baccarat, that's the whole point of it and what makes it so unique and why it became so popular.
For me on my skin, Angels' Share is sweet/sour, warm and woody. It doesn’t come a cross as sweet at all. And I must say, I love it.
I’m looking forward to watching your reviews especially since you don’t prefer food-like fragrances. I too prefer more of a “perfume” type of fragrance, and don’t reach for citrus scents much either.
I have a similar story with BR540. Got a sample , loved it at first sniff. OMG, back then I was just beginning my journey into niche perfumery and that was majical Sweet, ambery, dak but airy. A must buy. And then I don’t know what possessed me, I started listening to all these reviews, especially from the Russian frag community, and I hear about this iodine/ bandage/ clinic note that some pick up on and I thought , that’s weird , glad it’s not me. The next day I sprayed the sample on my skin…. médicinal hell. That’s all I smell. I was literally in tears. I have kept the sample and occasionally revisit, but it’s been close to 3 years, and every time I spray it on, I still get the same medicinal vibe. What a shame. I wish I could unteach my brain to pick up on that. And I have also been looking for a dupe sans the bandages, and so far, nothing 😓
Try the extrait version, it doesn't have the medicinal part.
The manege rouge by al haramain is a pretty close br540 dupe.. it smells a bit more cotton Candyish where that medicinal note is.
I have the same issue with gourmand perfume. As soon as I can identify a specific food that a gourmand perfume reminds me of, it puts off.
Girlll I’m ready to hop on the decluttering bandwagon! I have so many fragrances that just sits and take up space. Not good! I just started to get back on my Chanel fragrances journey again. An epiphany occurred for me after I had watched former super model Iman in her recent interview talk about perfumes and she said in her own words “I’m a loyal one fragrance wearer” she wore Fracas for years because she was loyal to the house brand and that having too many fragrances can turn us nose-blind and throw us off to the point where we don’t know what we like anymore. It gave me a huge lightbulb moment and realized I wasted so much money on fragrances that I stopped gravitating towards to. I jump from one fragrance to another losing out on what really represents my style and fragrance personality. After really doing my own self assessment and paid attention to what I lean towards to the most notes-wise. I narrowed it down to Chanel and Jo Malone. Those two houses are the ones are my frequent go to wear from my fragrance wardrobe. It has made such a difference. So now I can start the decluttering the ones I no longer wear. In the event my perfume bottle runs out, then I can decide if I want to repurchase or not. So I’m now trying to get back to the basics to become a “loyal one fragrance wearer” that best represents my personality. This will stop from going nose blind and less allergies clogging up my sinus from having so many fragrances in my home. Happy De cluttering!

So I’m new to your channel but I love your honesty and willingness to question the hype! If you’re still looking for something BR540-ish, have you tried Mancera Instant Crush or Montale Arabians Tonka? (Maybe you have and I haven’t watched that video yet!) I’ve never smelled BR540 myself but I do own and love Instant Crush and Arabians Tonka. I’ve heard them compared and while they’re not dupes I’d put them in a similar category. Hope that helps!

BR540 gives me iodine smell (I'm a nurse, reminds me of the swabs we use) but the extrait don't have that but is sweeter.
I also decluttered Ambre Vanille! I had high hopes but it was so screechy in the opening and yeah, smells like a straight vanilla body spray. Amber isn’t even listed in the notes! 🙈 There is just so much out there that is better. I feel like Kayali Vanilla 28 filled the void that I wanted from this. Hope you like Angel edt, it is definitely less patchouli than the edp. 💙
omg yes body spray 😅!! And 100%, whenever people ask me for a vanilla recommendation I always say Vanilla 28 or Guerlain's Spiritueuse Double Vanille. I have a feeling I'm really going to like it! I hope! 🤞🏼
OK- Dupe for BR540 without medicinal note is Julianna's Perfume-Aurora $69.
Dupe for TF Lost cherry with better performance is Oakcha-Sinful $39.
Both of these dupes are Extraits. ❤

I don't know if they ship to the US but to me, the number one dupe to BR 540 is hands down Tinharé from Le Couvent. I just got a 100ml because it is sooo good ! 🤌 The opening and middle is 98% BR but the difference is in the dry down/base note where it gets so deliciously creamy with Tinharé, and I love it ! I would own both of them really because i do enjoy the salty watters vibe i get with BR. In the base notes, they are two fragrances of their own i find. I hope you get your hands on the Tinharé, it is simply gorgeous ! If they don't do international shipping and you want it, hit me up, we could figure out something to send it your way ❤

Love the video! I have Emor London Oud No.3 and I like it more than BR540. I can actually smell the spun sugar scent on myself with this one. I don't smell any medicinal quality in it either, so perhaps that might work for you!

I have never related to a perfume reviewer more! We make many of the same observations when describing perfumes and have similar fragrance pet peeves. I thought I was a weirdo for falling madly in love with fragrances, then out of nowhere, being annoyed by them. I actually took a long break from sampling/shopping in part because I'm so picky and fickle, and couldn't stand myself anymore. 🤣
PS - I'd love to know your thoughts on Hermès Ambre Narguile.
For real though, a new fragrance will arrive, I'll tell my boyfriend I love it, and he'll joke and say, "Okay but do you really love it, or do you love it now but you're gonna sell it two weeks later on Mercari." 😳 I felt called out lolll
Ambre Narguile is beautiful! Seriously smells like the inside of an apple pie. Warm, apple, cinnamon, gooey, bit of rum. Super realistic. Very similar to Angels Share, but a bit more apple. This scent, although amazing, is a bit too sweet for me (I'm finding this an issue with a lot of fragrances with this scent profile. If the sweetness was toned down and the deeper notes were amped up I'd be all in. It does have quite poor performance though.
That happens to me all the time, too. I fall in love with a fragrance, and after some time I just get bored with it. That's why I always buy 30 ml or less.
Definitely try Pierre Guillaume Paris Alphaora 30 for a Baccarat Rouge 540 dupe, it's honestly so good!!!

Gently fluidity gold I love absolutely love but every time I stay it I smell baby wipes! I'm trying to train myself out of it but once I thought of that it's kinda ruined for me

I want to say Jus De Rose recommended Burberry Her as a similar vibe of BR540, and I can see it with the salty, sweet, airy quality, and I believe Francis Kurkdjian is the nose behind it.
Unfortunately it’s not for me, I get sickly sweet artificial berries, ☹️ thanks for the recommendation though!
Thierry Mugler created Angel from an inspiration of his mother’s perfume Molinard Nirmala. Maybe you would like to try that. I had it years back.

As far as perfumes with BR540 vibes minus the medicinal quality, you could try B*tch Please by Confessions of a Rebel. As far as I know no one claims that it smells like BR however to *me* it really is similar and I don’t seem to get that plasticky tinge to it …maybe worth a try! 🤷🏻♀️ Of course there’s Cloud, Instant Crush, Burberry Her, etc.. I’m sure you’ve tried all those! 😊 Just throwing some suggestions out there 😂 Great declutter video! 🙏🏼

I love Angel since 1992, at no time in my life since then I have not possesed a flacon of it.
That was one brutal declutter! I hate orange blossom too. To me it smells like a toilet freshener.😔 Also, I got tired of all of my Baccarat dupes, I gave them all away.

Whispers of truth by house of sillage has BR540 vibes. I have a purse spray, wore it once, and couldn’t smell it at all. My husband commented something along the lines of, “oh you’re wearing that awful stuff again,” and I thought he was just referring to fragrance in general. Several hours later I started picking up a br540 scent and was SO confused. I went onto fragrantica- lo and behold, people voted that it reminds them of br540. I laughed and apologized to my husband bc I knew he hates br540 but I just honestly had no idea it would smell similar! I didn’t want him to think I had intentionally worn something to annoy him 😆 Anyway, hope that one works for you if you try it out!

It has a similar airy vibe, but they're totally different perfumes in my opinion! It was also unfortunately nauseatingly sweet for me with the artificial berries

I recently tried a dupe of Mugler Angel and that was my complaint. All I could smell was the patchouli and I had to return it.

According to everyone on the planet Red temptation by zara is the ultimate b540 dupe. I haven’t tried it because i am waiting for your review 😉

I have this one. It's not an exact dupe, but it does come close. I still like BR540 better, but considering the price difference, I'll stick with the Zara one.

Hahah my thought is that if you made the decision to let the perfume go, it doesn’t need to be reintroduced into your collection (unless your tastes totally change down the line of course). For whatever reason it didn’t vibe with you, or you weren’t reaching for it, and you want to be in love with everything you wear!! ❤️

@@AnneLauren precisely! I own Red Temptation and not only is it very close to original, it has phenomenal performance! I was shocked at how long it lasted the first time I wore it and I love the scent. It's worth the hype💯👌

The fragrance mentioned in this video is the Nectar version and the bottle I own is the original, they smell different to me!
Ok I just looked back on this video, and yes, the original did grow on me! 😆At first it was a big like, but when I revisited it about a year later I was head over heels for it 😝

My wife would never wear anything J-LO. It’s super cheap and smells common. When my wife smelled it she cringed immediately. Just bad.
Lalique Soleil is really good, probably the best Spring/Summer fragrance on the market. Not sure why you are bashing it.
I am just wondering why you say u have give up ur beautiful bottles, which are expensive may I add I have a few of them myself, so why ?? u don't have to wear them, keep them on display some are 150 a bottle so to just get rid of them is beyond me lalique soleil the bottle is beautiful I've two I'd never be able to part with them I purchased them from lalique it's self so I paid top end keep ur pretty bottles
I sell them or give them away to friends & family so they never go to waste :) I'm not the kind of person to just hold onto stuff, it has to have a purpose for me, otherwise it's just clutter.
