When you spoke about keeping Bon Bon for the bottle, I immediately thought of my recent comment in another one of your videos about wanting to buy Angel Elixir for the bottle. 😂 I think the bottle of Bon Bon is super cute and girly, but I love the smell of it even more. Ever since I smelled Kilian’s Love Don’t Be Shy, I started loving all perfumes that remind me somewhat of it.
Yes, when you said that, I also thought about my recording of this video 😂 Ooh love is a beautiful fragrance 😍 I only tried it a few times but yes I see why people love it, at least the old version.
@@dr.claire.perfume I can see myself one day in your shoes if I decide to get Angel Elixir. I wish they had a charm or something to just scratch the itch. I could always use it as a paperweight, I suppose. And funny enough, the bottle I like best isn’t the largest size that stands up. They needed to change the shape of the bottle a bit for it to be able to stand, and it took away the look I preferred (although it is more helpful that it stands).
I also prefer the shape of the ones that don't stand. My favourite is eau Croisiere 2020, that one is stunning... I find the angel nova standing bottle not as nice.

I have to go see each of them in person but it may be hard to do since I’m sure the testers will only be the larger size. I’m not sure how I can view them in person to decide. And since going down the rabbit hole, I’ve discovered other Angel perfume bottles that are just so stunning! I don’t know why I did that to myself. I think I might start collecting bottles the way people collect Swarovski crystalline figures. 😂
I think a lot of people collect the Mugler bottles because they are so unique! There are a lot for sale on eBay. I was considering selling my old bottles as I have around 50 right now 🤦♀️

Oh yes friend! I got rid of all of my shay and blue except white peaches and one other that I can't recall right now. It was a very disappointing experience for sure.

Now then, Kayali Apple... It's the one I struggle with the most from the collection and I do have to say it fits the brief very well. 😱 The Shay and Blue, I really thought u were a mega fan. And who doesn't want a fragrance that smells of urine, we all need a few in our collection. I like Black Tulip 😊 I have serious space issues atm I might have to empty a few drawers to fill. The whips and chains and draw of expired medication may have to find a new home. Bon bon as I recall for me was not a love. Infact apart from Spicebomb the reformulated original I've not clicked any. The Ghosts do surprise me and I do like them but I'd never wear them probably. I like 🍑. Especially a warm 🍑. Is it weird I want to sniff White Rose? Q Liz SaxCoburg Gotha Mountbatten must have made many a beef roast in her time 🙄. I like Floris. Really we shud all own thst fragrance for free as we paid for the bloody wedding. Yes, I know eden is popular but I just can't ever think I am going to want to smell like that unfortunately. I really want to like it, sounds weird but I appreciate Kayali. Lol don't joke, I might gift you one of the sets 🤣 but wow Kingwood, I would not want to snuggle up to that. Having tried some of their other fragrances, black tulip is actually one of the better ones if you don't mind sweet. Yes, you could get hooks for the s/m paraphernalia, might look quite decorative. And the expired meds could always go back to a pharmacy, no need to hoard. Bonbon is really one I don't think I ever enjoyed, I think it was one of felt I should like and so I persisted but that's ridiculous. Oh I know you love a peach... But yes, you aren't going to reach for a Ghost, they aren't that special, just good for the price. There is definitely something woody aromachemical smelling there that I'm not sure about either. I will send you white rose. Each time I've worn it, I get something sticking out more than elsewhere. The last time I got more powdery rose so I don't know. And rose en noir, I think you would hate actually. I agree, declutters are only informative with reasons as to why people don't enjoy the fragrances being decluttered. 🙂

For the first time, I don't have any perfumes I want to declutter from my collection. It is actually shrinking so I am trying to force myself to buy but I have become so frugal when it comes to perfume.

It’s not a favorite for me either but it’s one of the few sugary watery fragrances I own so I keep it for when I’m in the mood… 🙂 La vie est belle OG I passed on to a friend who loves it. I'm trying to decide... I joined vinted but Facebook marketplace seems like a good spot too. I guess it's finding the level of interaction with buyers that anyone selling wants. Moving in a month makes me do crazy declutters! Brought away 4 bags of clothes and sold at least 15 fragrances! Honestly I'm just not the same person anymore. I loved having 30+ perfumes in my 20's and now I'm 32 and 12 perfumes that I love is enough choice. I decluttered almost all celebrity ones. Most didd'nt last or project.
I didn't move for 11 years and wow, moving was great for clearing out! I got rid of loads of old broken furniture instead of just living and putting up with it. I feel like I need to just pretend I'm moving and go through my wardrobe and especially my shoes 😂 Yes I understand what you mean. When I first started my channel, I felt like I needed to try and to own everything. Then I learnt what I love and what I don't and I've realised that less can be more. I was thinking of getting rid of Clean Warm Cotton. Remembered liking that flanker the most, but when I finally bought it (years later) I just didn't reach for it. Was thinking that it might be that I don't enjoy the kind of clean-girl-smells. It´s also not sweet at all, so I think there needs to be a sweet element there for me. Anyway, very nice to think about why you initially liked something and why it changed. Its also a question of fashion, I guess
Yes for sure! Sometimes just don't notice something until you've worn it quite a few times and once you smell it, you can't unsmell it. 😂 But yes, fashion is also noticeable with fragrance. I think there's a very typical fruchouli scent profile from 10-15 years ago that feels very dated now for example. 🥰
Yeah if something does not bring you joy toss if for sure though in a sustainable way for sure. I do not like super sweet scents either. I prefer musky or spicy. Oh wow that is so interesting about Floris 1800??? WOW! I like the bottle of the rose fragrance but rose can be strong depends. Loved this 👍 good job!
Yes the Floris is an old fragrance, it was good to experience it as I was super curious but probably not one I'd wear so better it goes, it was secondhand so not terribly expensive thank goodness. Thanks for watching 🥰

I want to like Shay & Blue fragrances more. I would recommend Salted Caramel, but I think it might be too sweet for you. I love Bon Bon, if you get the chance to try the spring/summer version it is more fruity with a bit of a tartness to it.
Yeah I haven't tried salt caramel for a few years, I remember trying it in store and not thinking it was bad at all. Although I'm sure I tried some of these in store and liked them back then, maybe my taste changed or they reformulated? I don't know... I will go try it again. I don't think I tried any bon bon but the original... I always wanted to try couture. 😊
Decluttering to me is sort of therapeutic one need to let go off the things they’re not enjoying anymore letting go off fragrances can be hard sometimes but it’s worth it. It also create space for newer ones. Good job 👏

I really like how you say 'life is too short to wear a bad fragrance' ! Couldnt agree more! I just bought a few 'blind buys', such as Vera Wang's 'Embrace French Lavender & Tuberose' - and I find it extremely clawing, sickly sweet & nauseating for my taste, esp on the skin, as in the bottle it smells lighter & more airy. I get a similar feeling with 'Happy' by Clinique & Lancome's La vie est belle. It is quite visceral.
Thanks! It really is though isn't it? I have realised that I should just wear what I love! Oh I have a sample of all of that line from Vera Wang very kindly from Cass from Skin Scents for Fusspots. I can't say I liked any of them sadly, I was really looking forward to trying them too! Happy is one I've not smelt in many years and lveb I used to have a 100ml bottle of but it was never opened and got resold. I couldn't bring myself to wear it for some reason. I did finish some mini perfumes though so I guess after those, the thought of 100ml felt like too much! Thanks for watching 🥰
Hi Claire, another declutter! It's great that you can let them go and hopefully send them on to someone who will enjoy them. I didn't really like the Eden Juicy apple when I tested it out last spring. It wasn't terrible, but it isn't my thing. You really don't like Shay and Blue 😅. I haven't tried them, but after watching your video I didn't want to. The sweet fragrances can be fairly cloying. I don't own many like that either. I think the closest I have gotten to that might be the Shalimar Millésime Iris I received last week. It was a FOMO blind buy... That one has a sweet note. Still making up my mind about it. I do find the Vanilla/musk similar to Mon Guerlain Intense and I find the musk really strong. It makes me nauseous if I put my nose to my skin where I sprayed. I likely wouldn't have bought it had I been able to test it first. It does give a nice scent bubble and is people pleasing for a Shalimar. 😉 It's unfortunate the two rose fragrances went so wrong for you. I Don't think I would want to smell of beef drippings either. The Miller Harris cumin/ash quality sounds undesirable. Heres to hoping we do better in the future. I say we, because I have plenty of my own blind buy mistakes to live with. 🫣 Thanks for your video! Hi Jenn, yeah I won that Kayali so I felt like I should stick with it for a bit, but it really wasn't me and I didn't see the point in trying to get through 100ml of it 😂 Shay and blue were just not my taste at all. I really was shocked that out of 8 I only thought about 3 were tolerable. You were brave with that Shalimar, it can go either way for me with that DNA, philtre de parfum really wasn't one I could stomach, but the Iris doesn't sound bad at all from reviews, although I think people mainly preferred the tonka one overall. This is the problem, wait for reviews and they are sold out 🤦♀️ Yes, I tried with white rose and also rose en noir but I knew pretty much instantly that I would never love them so better to resell them. They've gone to others now, so I'm hoping they are all being loved. Thanks for watching 🥰

Hi Claire! Declutter is a must once in awhile. I'm trying to be better at testing and buying quality (loves) over quantity. But once in awhile I get pulled in by a good deal that only ends up being a like and a fragrance I never seem to crave or want to put on, because I have so many other ones I prefer. I must have decluttered a good 20 bottles since January (the move helped).

Ghost Deep Night - always waiting on the shelf, but I don't give it up yet. I think It has been created for a specific time of the year English weather in mind. Summer and autumn, but certain moisture in the air must be maintained, o something else, I don't know what it is. It is simple but quite unique at the same time. I should declutter my collection too, but I'm just too lazy.
Yes deep night has elements that I really like, the muskiness is fab but there's also something very unpalatable about it to me. I just don't enjoy most peach unfortunately. 🤦♀️ And there's no need to declutter if you don't want to 🥰
Peach can be so tricky for me as well I also let go of BonBon although I do love deep night the peach does not bother me as much it’s one of my favorites 😉 you did good! Letting go of what you don’t need is great! I say we are learning what works and doesn’t ( I laughed so hard when you talked about the miller Harris scent 🤣🤣🤣
That Miller Harris was just something I should never have bought 🤦♀️ I even smelt it in the store through the packaging! Sometimes I guess the idea of something is better than the reality. Bon bon was an overdue declutter and oh I really wanted to love deep night, I think it's probably a lovely cheapie if you can get over the fruitiness.

A huge huge disappointment!!! I am still getting over it clearly 🤣 I don't think white rose is really as I smelt it first time around, it must have been some dried fragrance in the atomiser or something. It was certainly an experience that first time 🤣

I can see why you would declutter Eden Juicy Apple. It’s not a favorite for me either but it’s one of the few sugary watery fragrances I own so I keep it for when I’m in the mood… 🙂 La vie est belle OG I passed on to a friend who loves it. Yeah I know what you mean, it's a very different fragrance for me too... That's why I retried it, because I thought if there's some redeeming feature, I should just keep it but I haven't reached for it much in over a year so it's going.

I'm trying to decide... I joined vinted but Facebook marketplace seems like a good spot too. I guess it's finding the level of interaction with buyers that anyone selling wants. It can take up a lot of time if there are multiple people messaging. I didn't try depop, I will have a look! Thanks for the suggestion ☺️

Moving in a month makes me do crazy declutters! Brought away 4 bags of clothes and sold at least 15 fragrances!
Honestly I'm just not the same person anymore. I loved having 30+ perfumes in my 20's and now I'm 32 and 12 perfumes that I love is enough choice.
I decluttered almost all celebrity ones. Most didd'nt last or project.
I didn't move for 11 years and wow, moving was great for clearing out! I got rid of loads of old broken furniture instead of just living and putting up with it. I feel like I need to just pretend I'm moving and go through my wardrobe and especially my shoes 😂
Yes I understand what you mean. When I first started my channel, I felt like I needed to try and to own everything. Then I learnt what I love and what I don't and I've realised that less can be more. Wearing something you love everyday is miles better than something that is nnn! Thanks for watching 🥰
I was thinking of getting rid of Clean Warm Cotton. Remembered liking that flanker the most, but when I finally bought it (years later) I just didn't reach for it. Was thinking that it might be that I don't enjoy the kind of clean-girl-smells. It´s also not sweet at all, so I think there needs to be a sweet element there for me.
Anyway, very nice to think about why you initially liked something and why it changed. Its also a question of fashion, I guess
Yes for sure! Sometimes just don't notice something until you've worn it quite a few times and once you smell it, you can't unsmell it. 😂 But yes, fashion is also noticeable with fragrance. I think there's a very typical fruchouli scent profile from 10-15 years ago that feels very dated now for example. 🥰
Awwww....this Ghost bottle looks so unique. I agree with you on the apple note. I've noticed that it can get sickly sweet if not done right.

Yeah if something does not bring you joy toss if for sure though in a sustainable way for sure. I do not like super sweet scents either. I prefer musky or spicy. Oh wow that is so interesting about Floris 1800??? WOW! I like the bottle of the rose fragrance but rose can be strong depends. Loved this 👍 good job!
Yes the Floris is an old fragrance, it was good to experience it as I was super curious but probably not one I'd wear so better it goes, it was secondhand so not terribly expensive thank goodness. Thanks for watching 🥰

I want to like Shay & Blue fragrances more. I would recommend Salted Caramel, but I think it might be too sweet for you. I love Bon Bon, if you get the chance to try the spring/summer version it is more fruity with a bit of a tartness to it.
Yeah I haven't tried salt caramel for a few years, I remember trying it in store and not thinking it was bad at all. Although I'm sure I tried some of these in store and liked them back then, maybe my taste changed or they reformulated? I don't know... I will go try it again. I don't think I tried any bon bon but the original... I always wanted to try couture. 😊
Decluttering to me is sort of therapeutic one need to let go off the things they’re not enjoying anymore letting go off fragrances can be hard sometimes but it’s worth it. It also create space for newer ones. Good job 👏

I really like how you say 'life is too short to wear a bad fragrance' ! Couldnt agree more! I just bought a few 'blind buys', such as Vera Wang's 'Embrace French Lavender & Tuberose' - and I find it extremely clawing, sickly sweet & nauseating for my taste, esp on the skin, as in the bottle it smells lighter & more airy. I get a similar feeling with 'Happy' by Clinique & Lancome's La vie est belle. It is quite visceral.

Oh I have a sample of all of that line from Vera Wang very kindly from Cass from Skin Scents for Fusspots. I can't say I liked any of them sadly, I was really looking forward to trying them too!
Happy is one I've not smelt in many years and lveb I used to have a 100ml bottle of but it was never opened and got resold. I couldn't bring myself to wear it for some reason. I did finish some mini perfumes though so I guess after those, the thought of 100ml felt like too much! Thanks for watching 🥰

I didn't really like the Eden Juicy apple when I tested it out last spring. It wasn't terrible, but it isn't my thing.
You really don't like Shay and Blue 😅. I haven't tried them, but after watching your video I didn't want to.
The sweet fragrances can be fairly cloying. I don't own many like that either. I think the closest I have gotten to that might be the Shalimar Millésime Iris I received last week. It was a FOMO blind buy... That one has a sweet note. Still making up my mind about it. I do find the Vanilla/musk similar to Mon Guerlain Intense and I find the musk really strong. It makes me nauseous if I put my nose to my skin where I sprayed. I likely wouldn't have bought it had I been able to test it first. It does give a nice scent bubble and is people pleasing for a Shalimar. 😉
It's unfortunate the two rose fragrances went so wrong for you. I Don't think I would want to smell of beef drippings either. The Miller Harris cumin/ash quality sounds undesirable.
Heres to hoping we do better in the future. I say we, because I have plenty of my own blind buy mistakes to live with. 🫣

Shay and blue were just not my taste at all. I really was shocked that out of 8 I only thought about 3 were tolerable.
You were brave with that Shalimar, it can go either way for me with that DNA, philtre de parfum really wasn't one I could stomach, but the Iris doesn't sound bad at all from reviews, although I think people mainly preferred the tonka one overall. This is the problem, wait for reviews and they are sold out 🤦♀️
Yes, I tried with white rose and also rose en noir but I knew pretty much instantly that I would never love them so better to resell them. They've gone to others now, so I'm hoping they are all being loved.

Hi Claire! Declutter is a must once in awhile. I'm trying to be better at testing and buying quality (loves) over quantity. But once in awhile I get pulled in by a good deal that only ends up being a like and a fragrance I never seem to crave or want to put on, because I have so many other ones I prefer. I must have decluttered a good 20 bottles since January (the move helped).
Yes me too! I'm trying to be better but yes deals sometimes get me. I'm very happy to let this little lot go.

It's a fragrance that achieved what it set out to do from Mona's vision. I agree it's a good fruity one and perfect for summer.
Ghost Deep Night - always waiting on the shelf, but I don't give it up yet. I think It has been created for a specific time of the year English weather in mind. Summer and autumn, but certain moisture in the air must be maintained, o something else, I don't know what it is. It is simple but quite unique at the same time. I should declutter my collection too, but I'm just too lazy.
Yes deep night has elements that I really like, the muskiness is fab but there's also something very unpalatable about it to me. I just don't enjoy most peach unfortunately. 🤦♀️

Peach can be so tricky for me as well I also let go of BonBon although I do love deep night the peach does not bother me as much it’s one of my favorites 😉 you did good! Letting go of what you don’t need is great! I say we are learning what works and doesn’t ( I laughed so hard when you talked about the miller Harris scent 🤣🤣🤣
That Miller Harris was just something I should never have bought 🤦♀️ I even smelt it in the store through the packaging! Sometimes I guess the idea of something is better than the reality.
Bon bon was an overdue declutter and oh I really wanted to love deep night, I think it's probably a lovely cheapie if you can get over the fruitiness.

The Floris I have no clue what happened the first time around, maybe some fragrance that had been exposed to air in the atomiser tube, the second time, it smelt more recognisable as the listed notes.
