But because that little muppet grew up in a tough suburb he talks like that's what Glasgow's like and it's not. It's a beautiful vibrant city. Tis delightful to see my area of Glasgow being honestly reflected on RUclips. The normal RUclips fare is a bleak reflection of what the city was in the 50/60/70s and 80’s. The West End is and has always been the ‘trendy’ place to chill out in, in what even now can still be an industrial city. If at anytime you are moving to Glasgow, be it temporary or permanently; then seek out The West End 🎭. It truly is the; “jewel in the crown, of my home town”. Best F

Fantastic city - one of the best and the only one I go back to willingly - there is so much to it, don't be afraid to embrace it all, not just Byres Road.
To everyone saying this is not the "real" Glasgow: every city has many different sides to it, and no particular side is any more "real" than another. The people making this video just chose to show the particular side of the city, but that doesn't make this side of the city any less "real" than another.
I live in the West End and there's nothing real about it. The issue isn't with the video showing that side that as a concept, it's in the presentation implying that this is all Glasgow is. It's in the description claiming that Glasgow has changed from the long-held associations of poverty, when in reality for most Glaswegians this video might as well be from Edinburgh.
We've just filmed the vibrant Ashton Lane too, so it's good to have a little more info about it here. What an insight to see just how alive the city is. Thanks for enlightening us.

The real Glasgow is a bit different than this - what we see here is the expensive, sanitised, artificial side, where those with money go to eat & drink, and as such, you're missing out on the good stuff...the real character of the city. This is not the Glasgow the vast majority of Glaswegians frequent...and enjoy.

We are only people like everybody else and no doubt have our issues that, by and large, shouldn't affect visitors to whom people all over the world tend to be friendly, especially if the visitor makes an effort too.
