  • Part 2: Demons, lust, and magic...
Robert Ritner, Rowe Professor of Egyptology, OI, and Foy Scalf, head of the OI research archives join us for a second at-home podcast, offering a deeper exploration of their recently published erotic love spell from ancient Egypt. In addition to the spell, Ritner and Scalf take a look at ancient Egyptian demons and social traditions during the Roman era.
Although Robert Ritner may seem well in this video, he is facing kidney failure and is in need of a living donor to secure his health and future research. If you can help, please contact Dana McClain, Northwestern Medicine Transplant Coordinator, 312-695-0828. Living donors save lives!
Please excuse the audio and video, this podcast was recorded at-home.

Thank you! I would be interested if it would be possible for Robert Ritner to talk about his paper "Anubis and the Lunar Disc"

If a love spell "worked", and the target found out about it, how would they react? Would they be offended? flattered?
