I'm no d*llas fan (I'm a die hard Eagles fan) but there's literally nothing that's interesting or intriguing about either of those teams you mentioned. The NFC East teams will always get more coverage regardless of their records simply because they are the biggest money makers of the NFL with the biggest fanbases and the biggest markets.
It may be a good thing. Let Kingsbury fix that team silently. Let him become a conversation for next year. Same with Patricia, Guarantee Belichik would rather not hear his name in the media. “rat poison”

Good Dialogue. But, let's ALL face it. It's EXTREMELY HARD to get Jerry Jones(or Anybody) to relinquish POWER after you've assembled a team that WON 3 Superbowl Titles & built A DYNASTY.
Marcus Spears is absolutely right about Jerry Jones inviting him to stay over the night. I do believe he's still going to have a lot to do with the offense.
I agree with Stephen A on Mike McCarthy yes he went to a Superbowl but since the Superbowl he went 5-6 in the postseason in the last 2 years in Green Bay they missed the playoffs

I got no problem with the hire because the Cowboys is behind the time team which is not a bad thing necessarily in this case. The Cowboys have a "big three", format which has been successful for them in the past and now they have a coach from that era. He's got a big arm qb, a smash mouth back, and home run wideout. In today's game the multi weapon team has been winning all the bowls but football is football. You've got more gizmos in weight rooms nowadays and different training styles, players are bigger and faster but this format can still work provided you have the right coach who embraces it, and I think Mike can do just that.

One question: Who’s available with that type of weight in the league? Those coaches are not available because they are successful, they are not on every street corner, Mike Mccarthey is not the perfect coach but he’s had success in the league and he deserves another shot.
Jerry is Jerry. There ain’t no changing Jerry. No matter who Jerry hires as the coach, Jerry is still the coach and GM and owner. Even if there were no salary cap, the Dallas Cowboys would still go no where and continue to be a 8-8 team.
I always thought that Mike McCarthy and Andy Reid as very similar. Both similar coaching styles. Andy Reid seemed to see the times changes and adapted. And Mike never really did. Hopefully he's taking this time off to do so and adapt to what football has become.

Cowboys have too much offensive talent to be so mundane offensively. Its so easy to key in on their tendencies. They need someone who can call plays in a way that gives Zeke open lanes with the use of motions/jet sweeps/etc.
Today's NFL for the most part: all passing and no defense. So many analysts say that McCarthy failed to adapt to the NFL changing over to all passing and no defense. I recall that when McCarthy coached my Packers all we did was pass and had 0 defense. If anybody agrees or disagrees feel free to comment.
Not a big fan of mcarthy as he was a major reason the packers did not live up to their talent level of aaron rodgers since the superbowl win. But I do think he will do great for the cowboys. Still a good coach
Spending the night at Jerry's house was just another way of saying "don't let this guy go and talk to someone else, sign him NOW." Nothing unique in that kind of ploy. I am only hope that Jerry doesn't turn Mike McCarthy into Charlie McCarthy!
