  • That's right, as far as I know, this is the first elevator in a silo in a factory that has ever been uploaded. A BIG thank you to this establishment for inviting me to take a moving photograph of your elevator! Enjoy this awesome elevator as it goes a LONG way up! around 200 feet!
DISCLAIMER! NEVER trespass in an industrial facility or a factory unless you are invited AND are familiar with proper safety procedures. They can be VERY dangerous not to mention you can get in legal trouble as well.. I was invited to ride and film this elevator as I am familiar with the safety procedures at this specific location as I am a frequent visitor to this establishment.

I deffinatelly agree this is a very slow elevator for how high it goes and if I had to say this is probably the height of a 30 floor building

      Yep about 300 ft

    "Door close does not work."
(Presses button at 0:28 and door closes). Uh, yes it does?
(Presses button at 3:13 and door closes). Never mind.

Dante The Train Buff No I don’t work there. This is the one in Troutville VA outside of Roanoke. Andrew has posted on his Flickr pictures of trains here and if you read the description of the video he states he is a “frequent visitor of this establishment”.

Dante The Train Buff Andrew has not been there in a very long time since now he is driving trains to Bluefield now mainly. He used to drop off and pick up cement cars to this plant with the railroad as it appears by the hopper cars parked here

It had black buttons before. Modded sometime during the late 90s early 2000s.
