---- Rising Sun ----
Clans must use politics, strength and honor to rule the land in this board game with amazing miniatures set in legendary feudal Japan.
Rising Sun is a board game for 3 to 5 players set in legendary feudal Japan (up to 6 players with the expansion). As the Kami descend from the heavens to reshape the land in their image, it is up to each player to lead their clan to victory. Use politics to further your cause, negotiate to seek the most profitable alliances, worship the Kami to gain their favor, recruit monsters out of legend to bolster your forces, and use your resources wisely to be victorious in battle.
I've seen them up close in real life a few months ago at a show and they are beautiful.
I'm loving the prep videos. Its a quick way to jump right into getting base coats on then hammering out the details later.
As someone thinking of getting into painting my own minis, I find you to be very reassuring during your tutorials. I wouldn't have imagined it was ok to be so "sloppy" at the early prep stages. I'm enjoying the videos I've seen of your lessons and am impressed with all of your final products.
Great stuff Rob! Can't wait to see what you do tomorrow! Still waiting on my copy to arrive in the Northeast!
I'm waiting here in the NE, as well, Charlie! :-)
Great video, Rob! Beautiful looking figures. I bought this as a birthday present to myself last year and can't wait until they arrive!
Awesome - I have this one to paint as well - thanks, Rob!
Really cool looking models.
New subscriber. Very curious about this game. Looking good!
I just wish my copy would arrive.
If not too much trouble, would you put a list of supplies you used (mostly which paints/washes) you use in the video in the description?
black primer
white primer(?)
neutral gray sky gray --both vallejo
retribution armor citadel base
sotek green
XV-88
Ushabti Bone
Khorn Red
Rifling? flesh wash
Hi, I enjoy your videos verry much. I am wondering, why are you using grays from "allejo" and not Citadel? Can you use Citadel grays, and what kind would you use?
What brand of primer do you trust? I use the army painter one which is amazing and have never lost details but it is very exspensive. I have used the cheap stuff too and it to me lost alot of the miniature's details. Any thoughts or do I just need to bite the bullet? Thanks and I just recieved my copy of Rising sun and you are doing great work.
Do you use black prime for everything?
I wanna see all the rising sun figures, including the kickstarter ones
