Very nice video ❤I especially loved the music from X Files as it was one of my husbands favorite shows. Thank you for sharing this. I do so love your content! Keep them coming ❤
Hey you're in New Mexico, should have roasted a Hatch green chile! I live 16 mi. from Cloudcroft, camped up there many times. A few months ago I was shopping for flashlights; bought a ThruNite Ti3 V2 for a key-chain light, I like it allot. Then a Sofirin SP10V3, it takes AA or 14500 LiOn. With the latter it will really light up the forest, but only for a couple of minutes before it steps down. I wanted a bigger light that takes 18650 batteries, do I got a Workos FC11 (also made by Sofirin). All three are excellent.
Ahh I miss Cloudcroft, I lived in Alamogordo for 6 years and loved going to Cloudcroft and Ruidoso in the winter, awesome video bro thanks for sharing.
Beautiful spot. Always good to see someone who actually goes out for some dirt time to review their gear. I usually turn off “unboxing” videos or the ones where they’re obviously just in their backyard batoning treated lumber or scrap pallet wood with a knife that has obviously never been used.
Real nice camp. Good chow and sweet to hear the pines whistling I hope. // Amazon sells different length tent poles. Measure the broken one and go looking.
Hey my friend in thr future you could go get some pipe from a hardware store and make a sleeve that will allow the device to round out as intended. If its not in a joint you can just jb weld it in place
Bring a little vile of corn starch like in your spice kit, mix it with a tiny bit of water, pour it into your soups or stews, and stir like crazy. This will thicken anything too thin for your liking. God bless bro and thanks for the video and entertainment.
I 've been watching your videos for about 4 years now and they 've always been very entertaining. This video tho had something different to it. Awesome thumbnail, a little more work behind the scenes obviously but it also had a nice addition to the Jankyard Fox style we all love so much. Can't put my finger on it but it was definitely intentional. Great work!
Hey junkyard fire safety what do you do with ashes you do nothing. Do you cleanup and buried with dirt and pour waters .hot ash could relight the fire !
I like to wash my meals down with a beer. Ive seen in other videos, you drink my go to cheap brand Coors in the yellow can. Nice location and video James
Hi James. Been checking out your videos for a while now. Finally subscribed. Cloudcroft is a beautiful place. Noticed a couple things in your surrounding area. Lots of pine trees there. I'm sure at least a few of them are dead. Probably lots of fatwood just waiting to be collected. Also lots of old trees lying on the ground. Some of them look rotten. Probably a bunch of punky wood there just waiting to be charred. Next fire mentality. Looking forward to seeing you use some of these available resources.
there is a lot of fatwood, but ive found a ton of pine pitch on the tree trunks, thats much easier to gather and use. i actually filmed me gathering soem and starting the fire on the second morining, but i cut it out during editing, for pacing reasons.
Awesome, Kool video. Hope you enjoyed some quite time and reflect. I was wondering if a wool or cotton blanket or even a mylar sheet keep away the heat Signature from the heat sensor. Thanks.
Wish you would put the names and the links of the products use in you your video's so if people want to buy something you use in one of your video's they can
Hmm, thats an intersting idea. i may just start doing that. be sure to look at the description box, our amazon link is there and all the gear i use is avaialble through there
I have a question, when you go out in the desert areas, or now in the woods, do you carry any firearms, to protect against coyote, Mountain Lion or even black bear, and if so, what specifiaclly do you carry?
Most definitely! cuervo should be back to filming tomorrow. i do love the moko tent but its a pain to set up and take down, its more complex than my other tents, so if im only gonna stay one night, i think the other tents are more convenient
I always enjoy your vids James. I live in Las Cruces and unfortunately I've never did any tent camping in Cloudcroft or Ruidoso. My girl and my kids say they'd freeze to death in a tent so I always get stuck in a cabin lol the comida looked like it smacked hard man. Chingon vid Mano.
its all about dressing warm, bring a ton of layers, balnkets, beanies, hand warmers, wool socks and i think you all will be alright. appreciate the love, Ed!
Just watched this again. 1 observation... Comida sin chili, no es comida..even breakfast.. And looks like you were a couple days too late to bag that turkey..cheers Mano!
So as I've mentioned before I just recently found your channel, so I've been bingeing a bunch and. Ok. How do I say this in a kind way? The eggs- those looked perfect. Also I am not the type of person to judge people's cooking, usually. 😅🤪But the "biscuits" and gravy broke my appalachian heart. Oh honey. That's all I'll say. Bless it. If you ever want a tutorial on how to make real-ass biscuits and gravy, holler.
Hey brother I just wanna say I've been a huge fan of your channel for a while, I really enjoy watching your vids, they're very interesting and informative and I like seeing all the cool gear you put into use. I love the whole aesthetic of your vids especially with Cuervos awesome guitar playing, and you're cooking looks delicious! it just all comes together very nicely and it looks hella fun👍 I liked the videos where you hunted the hog, and where you made mesquite cakes. I'm from El Paso as well, I went to school with Nicholas and I'm Caesars cousin. Hope Cuervos feeling better and keep up the fuckin fantastic job yall have been doing!!🤘
I love watching you're channel , but this is the second time I've heard you say , this is something sent to me to review , it was over 2 years ago and I'm just getting to it now , like 2 years , newer models came out already, I think I'd keep that to you're self , because I wouldn't send you something to review knowing it takes you years to review it 😂
its very rare that i take that long in testing something, but i do like to actually test it out in the field, different environments, different seasons, scenarios etc. theres plenty of unboxing channels on youtube, i like to test thoroughly.
Not always accurate. Many times wild game can be tough and stringy when first killed, dry aging helps soften the meat to make it easier to consume. Second, you’ll take what you on hand, I have frozen boar meat so it makes sense to eat some of that, instead of going out to spend many more hours hunting, then processing, for only one day of camping.
You know as long as you know how to cook over a fire you don't need all of that controlled cooking stuff you were talking about you learn how to control it yourself over the coals. It's about how high do you need to be over the coals or how low. You camp enough you really should start learning how to cook over your coals. I'm not getting down on you about cooking or the way you're cooking it's just once you learn how to cook over hot coals you got it made
Be sure that you have a out of state small game license state and federal habitat stamp before you take any squirrels and film it. That could get pricey. I'm a retired sporting goods salesman.
Hello 👋 James, greetings from Northern California. I liked your video. You're wuite the outdoorsman. Have You considered opening a mobile outdoor restaurant? You did an excellent job on that breakfast. Stay safe out there. All the best to you. I look forward to your next outdoor adventure. 🤗 👋
Putting extra water was a blessing. It allowed you to film without burning the biscuits.
I love the closing music!
Back to the classics
This is easily becoming my favorite channel
I like these camping videos. Urban stuff was one of my favorites
Fun

Here's to a speedy recovery for Cuervo. Thank you for sharing. I hope you are able to take some time off for yourself without the burden of filming.
Looks like a beautiful spot to camp!
Ahh I miss Cloudcroft, I lived in Alamogordo for 6 years and loved going to Cloudcroft and Ruidoso in the winter, awesome video bro thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching! its a beautiful land

Looks like a beautiful area. Pretty cool Camp setup. Some interesting gear. Enjoy your videos.
delicious looking breakfast and coffee jealous
That infared camera attachment is pretty cool. I'll be looking for that review.
Real nice camp. Good chow and sweet to hear the pines whistling I hope. // Amazon sells different length tent poles. Measure the broken one and go looking.
Thanks for the tip! definitely neet to replace that tent pole
Everytime i see that grill it reminds me to tell you to check out self reliance outfitter's bedroll cook set
we have one now, we have to use it soon
Corporal's corner reminds us every 5 minute in his videos.
Hey my friend in thr future you could go get some pipe from a hardware store and make a sleeve that will allow the device to round out as intended. If its not in a joint you can just jb weld it in place
A good fire & good food along with a good shelter is a wonderful night!! Thank you brother!!
Biscuits and gravy seems like one of those things I just NEED to travel to the US and try.
Great video, James. Keep them coming, dude! Love the tracks by Cuervo Negro! Keep getting your boots dirty!
Great video James
I like that night vision lens. Gonna look into that
Nice video. Love the music Quervo
These vids always have outstanding music.
That breakfast looks tasty to lol !!!
Nice video. Makes me want to go camping.
Biscuits and gravy and over easy runny eggs is like my favorite breakfast or dinner of all time!
Bring a little vile of corn starch like in your spice kit, mix it with a tiny bit of water, pour it into your soups or stews, and stir like crazy. This will thicken anything too thin for your liking.
God bless bro and thanks for the video and entertainment.

I like to do Dutch oven or croc pot style recipes when the situation is Ike this to keep that meat moisture
very true, ill use the dutch oven next time

Glad you enjoyed it
Prayers up for Quervo and you to Steve. What type of inflatable mattress is that . I want to buy one.
its called the unigear inflatable sleeping pad
The night vision is great for pointing out heat loss. I was surprised at how much you glowed walking to your truck. Enjoying your videos.
im wearing a ton of wool, plus sitting in front of the fire, really adds to my heat signature
Great video, thanks 👍
I’m off for the weekend. Thinking about biscuits and gravy for breakfast. 😋
That’s my stomping ground too man. Let’s get some squirrel!
Man i loved these camp vids. Sad cuervo wasn't able to make it. Hopefully he heals up fast

Awesome, Kool video. Hope you enjoyed some quite time and reflect.
I was wondering if a wool or cotton blanket or even a mylar sheet keep away the heat Signature from the heat sensor. Thanks.
hmm, i never thought of that, ill try the blankets with the thermal vision next time
Hang on,is that a night vision lens or a thermal-imaging lens(like the one that can detect temperature of things)?
its thermal imaging.
Oh man i wanna eat 5 plates of the meal for just lookin.
Wish you would put the names and the links of the products use in you

i carry a ruger mark 3, and carry a 12 gauge shotgun most times
Like to know how you keep your hog meat good for so long?
just freeze it, make sure the ziplock bag is airtight
Like to watch what you're cooking 👍🏻 keep up the great content 😁👍🏻
Thank you so much 👍
The 2nd nite vision made me think of making a horror movies with RONALD MCDONALD'S clown killing people camping haha ! 😄 great video
Lol, that would be hilarious
Another great adventure as always brother! Hopefully Cuervo can make it next trip 🍻 still liking the Moko tent as well?
Most definitely! cuervo should be back to filming tomorrow. i do love the moko tent but its a pain to set up and take down, its more complex than my other tents, so if im only gonna stay one night, i think the other tents are more convenient
Great Video 👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
What no salsa with breakfast!!
lol yeah i shouldve brought an extra jalapeño
Nice job! One suggestion, next time ,why not marinate that pork and and cook it on the fire instead dirtying another pan?
yeah thats a good idea, im not used to cooking pork, i need more practice

We were promised more knife reviews.
Shit happens, buddy. Not everything goes according to plans. There’s plenty other channels who solely film knife reviews.
@@JunkyardFox I am not being nice to you, I admit. Don't be angry at me, please. I kinda like your knife reviews more than others. Peace be with you.

true, these were jsut the most convenient thign to bring and heat up, still came out great!
Chipmunks for lunch?
fresh meat is always better thanr frozen meat
