- Some parts of your chicken breast are better removed.
In this video clip, I will share with you how, why, what and why.
Thanks for watching Zeina's Cooking Channel! ! Let's cook!
Helping college kids learn to cook when their moms aren’t around 😂
Oh my GOD YOU GENIUS. I hate removing that stupid vein, and the blunt side knife trick is SO SMART
The "vein" in the chicken tender, as you call it is actually a tendon. That's why it doesn't cook. Just an FYI
For someone who hates handling chicken, this was SO helpful! I do not butcher my chicken trying to clean it now 😂
Perfect tip thanks very much
Thanks for helping! I’ve been starting to cook more and I love it! I’m not sure why but it would usually take me up to 20min to clean it, now it takes about 10 min, thanks for posting this video!
I am really happy that this video has helped you!
Great advice Zeina! Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!
Major key 🔑 thank you!
Thanks! Straight to the point 👌
Amazing!!
I really love cutting chicken too and yours is very detail,I've learned something new that can be useful to me later on.Thanks for the video Madam!
Thank you for your feedback :)
You’re so good at that! I struggle a lot with cleaning chicken breasts
Keep practicing! You can do it. You need a very sharp knife.
Thank you! That was awesome!
Thank you very much! I hope you join us for a cooking class or 2 this season! First one is next Tuesday :)
You should really continue to upload more videos! This was super helpful! Thank you!
More to come! Thank you for that!
FANTASTIC!! What brand of knife are your using?
The thin slicing is Wauw, do you have it up close?
You seem to be such a sweet person! Now I want to watch more videos and leave my chicken hanging
That's very kind of you to say! :)
Ohhh...thanks many many....i am worried about it ...bcz i take so much time with knife...but this method 👌
That's great! I'm happy this was helpful to you! :)
Thank you for this video it's very helpful ☺️ I was wondering though, how can I clean the chicken to remove that slightly annoying after taste that chicken can have unless you put spices to cover it up... I heard putting the chicken in vinegar helps remove that 'zankha' , I've tried it but it's not a perfect fix... Any specific method you use? Thank you 😊
It's important to buy your chicken fresh. It should not have after taste or smell. You can rub it with Salt then rinse it well. The salt will absorb the slimy you can get in a whole chicken.
@@Zeinascookingchannel thank you Zeina! :)
Vinegar and salt in bag. Massage. Shake and rinse. Then marinade
Queen
noticed you did not wash hands before putting your hand into that Zeina Spice, is it safe to do so, can you still use left over spice for other stuff ?
Thank you for asking.
I only put a couple of tablespoons or what i think you will need in a small plate.
Once my fingers touch the spice, after handling chicken, I don’t use it for anything else.
@@Zeinascookingchannel thanks for reply🙂
Nice video
Thanks
Everything is not a vein. You are removing tendons and ligaments the white long piece in the tenderloin.
So cleaning with water & lime is not needed??
😃👏👏👏👍
Aunty my chicken should not smell after cleaning
Chicken should not smell even before cleaning. Very important :)
the chicken was not washed before putting "Zeian's spice"
So need to wash the chicken ???
I don't put the chicken breasts under water. I simply wipe it with a Scott towel. You can rinse it with a splash of vinegar if you want. Rinse well and dry well.
So chicken breasts dont have to be cleaned with water and knife?
You’re beautiful…thanks for the tutorial.
That is a tendon, not a vein but good video!
Sure! A tendon it is! Sorry about that. I always remove it.
It isn't a vein madam
It's a tendon
Yes! You are correct! Isn't it great that now you can remove it if you choose too!
Doesn't it clean when it cooks though? I've never heard of cleaning the meat first...? What is the purpose of cleaning it?
I prefer to remember wetness and any slimy texture. It feels cleaner.
@@Zeinascookingchannel but nothing changes when it cooks. It's not slimy when it cooks. I suggest looking up the dangers of rinsing your chicken
Don't you need to wash it with salt and lemon juice?
Good question Veronica. If it's chicken breast, I only wipe them. If it's a whole chicken, I will rub it with salt to remove all slime and then rinse in cold water. I would not waste lemon here.
I was going to ask the same thing… it’s the Caribbean in me😂 My mom cleans the chicken with vinegar, salt, and lemon juice, and boiling hot lemon water. That’s what I thought cleaning was, and I just want a clear answer. Do we cook the chicken to kill the bacteria or does the way my mom does it effective?
I always wanna throw up, when I handle chicken dunno why 🤢
it is a tendon, not vein.
Thank you! Yes a tendon. Now you can remove it too if you want
Do you do the paper towel instead of washing the chicken? My mother says we should but people online say you don't have to. I think you use the paper towel to get rid of the film instead of washing it.
I'm just asking very genuinely, is it ok if we all stop eating animals and birds?
How about you worry about yourself.
It’s okay if YOU want to stop eating delicious animals but as for the rest of us, we choose to continue to eat good
🫡👩🏻🍳
Salt and vinegar in a bag, shake and massage
Drain, rinse, marinade
How long do you keep it in a bag?
It's not a vein. It's a tendon, and it's perfectly fine to cook!
I so wish I was good at stripping off that vein without destroying the meat. I hate that party of chicken.
