    I just made this with coconut milk (all I had) I’m very please with the consistency of this
    And how simple it was without having to use eggs. (They so expensive now a days)
    Can’t wait to use this for pancakes and crepes now. 😋

      @@Hailevaranex hi I don’t buy soy milk. It’s not something I use. I haven’t made this in a while. But I tied it with almond milk as well. Abs it work pretty well

    Doesn't egg affect the taste of custard? Just curious if black salt would make it more custard like. I only seem to see it in savory dishes.

    Please tell me 1/4 cup of corn starch is how many in gram ? For a non-vegan, can I use the custard powder with the same amount of the corn starch instead? Thx

    I'm going to get some black salt to try this. It smells much much stronger of sulphur than it tastes, especially while cooking. Might give it a nice eggy flavor.

      Change the milk with coconut milk then you get sirkaya/kaya jam from Indonesia/Singapore

    The lemon juice made my plant milk curdle 😦 I had to throw it away. Why lemon juice? It would have come out so nice without it...

    Great recipe but I did not like the taste of the lemon to be honest. I made without lemon and it tasted much better for me. If you’re going to make this consider skipping the lemon. It’s up to you.
