This is a beautiful wedding but it just looks like a traditional wedding to me. I’m no expert on the Amish but the Amish I’ve seen are plain. They wouldn’t wear fancy dresses and be dancing. So I guess these are modern Amish. Anyway it was beautiful.
People live like this in PA -- it is just (sadly) that many of the weddings we see are where the bride and bridesmaids are immodest and don't respect their groom and guests -- but isn't it encouraging that there are still family-oriented weddings? 🙂
Hey there Ruth! I don’t know exactly where the line gets drawn if someone is Amish but from My understanding is they identified their community as Amish. It was an absolutely beautiful thing to experience.
@@jack_waade The community itself may be in Amish country and there was an Amish couple in attendance, but the couple were definitely not Amish. I am Conservative Mennonite and it would be a huge stretch to even call it a Mennonite wedding.

In Europe, I still feel mennonite and a little bit amish in my heart. What would think the first t anabaptist and our forefathers, the swiss brothers and sisters? We must be the salt of the world.

I left the Lutheran church when they began picking up liberalism and allowing things the Bible says is wrong. I wanted something better for ,son so we joined a Conservative Mennonite church. I have been ‘liberal’ and it does nothing but elevate self instead of God.

Hey there David. I don’t know exactly what classifies someone as Amish but from what I understood from filming was that they fall between traditional Amish and a modern Amish. Was a beautiful community out in Montana!
Maybe their heritage is Amish and they keep the parts that conform to the Bible and toss out the legalism. I knew a lot of Amish people in Michigan and it looked like a lot of what is called Amish is merely conforming to outer regulations of dress and man's ideas of what it means to avoid "worldliness". God looks upon the heart.
