Technically speaking, the main story mentions how Sombron disposed of children he saw as defects (having traits not befitting a Fell Dragon) or made mistakes that could not be excused. So there were other good Fell Dragons in our Elyos, they just got killed off or died.

Very true. I guess Nel and Nil’s potential defects are possibly being reliant on each other to allow Nel to transform and Nil not being able to transform himself.

Interesting theory. I could see that being the case, but I guess we’ll find out in a few hours or so depending on how early the dlc gets released today.
