  • Since 1885 the Shoshone people have been without buffalo on their land. After decades of effort beginning in the 1990’s a coalition of individuals and organizations led by Jason Baldes have taken the first step in returning the North American Bison to their native lands. Nowhere is this action more culturally and ecologically significant than on the Wind River Indian Reservation in central Wyoming. For more, visit wyomingpbs.org/...

Good luck for this new beginning to succeed. Thanks to the coalition for Jason Baldes that this was possible. It certainly means a lot for the Native Americans and the other inhabitants of Wyoming.
    Greetings from Germany.

"Sometimes people talk about obstacels so much they become true in their minds" That is a very smart thought! Thank you very much!

The Shoshone Nation is still a People of wisdom and honor. It is good to hear their prayers and see them bringing back their culture.

When the tribal people were speaking Shoshone , the caption was saying "foreign language"

Thank you for catching that. The captioning service we use designates any non-English language as "foreign." We missed it in our proofreading of the captions.
