Synchro is one of those features that is actually incredibly useless and kind of stupid. 'You mean I get to take the auto out of autobattles, which is the only reason to do that?' And yet, it's just so charming, you can't hate it.
i actually find it more practical to use synchro machine to do those auto battle quests. the pokemon AI is so stupid sometimes they won't kill anything or just it takes them years to get out of their ball. i find it faster to just hop on my meowscarada and then clear them out myself (plus i get to pick up items also, which is an added bonus because you do get those item pickup quests too).
I know others have said it before, but I feel like this gimmick could potentially be Gamefreak testing the waters with controlling pokemon in a main line game.
I don't think it's anything special but the way Appletun just skitters across land is incredibly adorable. It's not very fast but it's still one of my favourites

If you press B with a pokemon that can fly but also walk, like birds or dragons, you can switch between doing either of those. Ogerpon also has different attacking animations depending on which form she's in.
In general, most rolling Pokemon like Donphan and Iron Treads, Golem, Graveler, and Sandslash (amongst others I'm sure) feel really fun to use with the Synchro Machine. Golem especially, whenever I feel the need to roll around as a bumpy lizard boulder, I do so while playing music from the Rock of Ages games. Though I'm also at peace knowing I can also roam the Terrarium as Muk, one of my all time favorites.
I brought in my Suicune to Violet and she like Waking Walk can also walk on water just like in her Lore. It's gorgeous seeing her run across the water.
I've used Meowscarada the most due to speed and running form. Pressing the left analong stick to speed up makes things better, too. It's too bad that Snivy's slow on foot. She was the fastest runner in PokéPark 2.
Garchomp is a fun Pokemon to use for this. He’s extremely fast (I think one of the fastest ones), making it fun to fly around with. I also like using Eternatus, as it’s huge and also really fast. Also, I tried out both Regieleki and Munchlax with the synchro machine, and Munchlax literally moves faster than Regieleki does 💀
I wish you could run with the lance as well though, it's kinda slow to defeat lots of Pokemon cos it has to do the animation before and after for every single one

The existence of koraidon and moraidon is a direct result of their laziness.. in future pokemon games we better be able to use what ever pokemon we want (that make sense for the given situation) to ride, surf, fly, etc I want to ride an arcanine, surf on a blastoise, and fly on a lugia
Killowattrel feels REALLY fast to fly as, especially once you hit the sprint button. I also love running around as my ceruledge, I feel like I have the zoomies lmao xD
Certain flying pokemon like Kilowattrel fly high enough that they can actually fly directly over some short pokemon on the ground without the auto-attack happening. I think it'll be useful for shiny hunting in an outbreak without having to worry about dodging the pokemon. On the opposite end though, syncing as really short pokemon can make it so you aren't able to attack some large wild pokemon. I have some footage of me as a Tatsugiri desperately trying to beat up an Alolan Exeggutor and just doing circles around it, ha!
My Ceruledge, “Uriel”, is my favorite because he’s so FAST, he’s even smoother to zoom around with than Miraidon! My second favorite is my Tropius, “Sourpod”, who can glide over huge canyons, and I can press B to put him in his walking animations, switch back and forth.
In the game itself it says it´s still a prototype so what if the "full" feature is somehow used in a futuere main Pokémon-game? I mean so far we had Mega-Evolution, Z-Moves, Dynamax and Terastal (evolution, moves, size, typing) so the next key-feature could be like that you start as a trainer but now and then you have to synchronize with a certain Pokémon-type to solve puzzles along the way like fore example a Water-Pokémon to dive under water while battling wild Pokémon. Also like with Koradion/Miradion it could replace HMs as you could simply become a Pokémon that can swim.
Honestly I don’t like Kingambit (cause Bisharp looks cooler) but I love synchronizing with it cause I love stupid running animations! I know it’s based on a chess piece but it looks like old dude in a motor cart. 😂
Seeing the Blastoise animation was awesome, though I did take the time to use Palkia in both forms to search for Galarica Twigs AND I'd rather have Synchro targets either swim or float to prevent desyncing.
Meowscarda is the fastest starter pokemon which can be shown with this mechanic. I haven’t been able to find anything quite as fast as it. Ps, for anyone who doesn’t know if you press down the l stick you can run fast, if you press zr your able to have a big bouncy spheal ball, and if you press x you get a bonus animation.
I use gengar mostly for these reasons 1) floats. Absolutely amazing for when you need to do something on the water, because instead of being slow in the water or only being useful in the water, he can just float anywhere, they can basically travel anywhere 2) fast. Very speedy mon to use as well, maybe not the absolute fastest but certainly a fast one, 3) gengar is cool. 4) I have a shiny gengar Pretty good for outbreaks and shiny hunts including outbreaks
I used Synchro to make my Meowscarada run zoomies around my Trainer, just like how she does when I want her to sit *still for five seconds so I can take a photo GOD DAMN IT MELON STOP RUNNING*

My favorite is speed Deoxys (land running animation is pretty sick, and it’s no slouch in air travel as well) and Pokémon that can also fly like garchomp, metagross and Solgaleo. 2:01 I’m pretty sure that Pikachu swimming isn’t anything that’s out of pikachus ability he has been seen swimming before, but I guess it’s Pikachu… I swear if charizard being weak to water game freak would also make it swim too (like rhydon)
You know Prophunt? Y'know, where a bunch of dudes are turned into props and a person needs to go search for them? What if we used the Synchro Machines for that? We play as our Pokemon and we wander around around and hide from the 'seeker' (The person trying to find us).
The best pokemon for me are: lugia: he kan fly run and swim, reshiram/zekrom: they just move like a boss, rayquaza: beautifull amd fast: latias: to me the fastes pokemon moving around...

Fun fact: Just like with the Raidon, if you push down on the analog stick all of the Pokémon will boost their speed/accelerate as well.
Sandslash. Not only is it's running animation cool (it rolls up into a ball Sonic style) but it has a very satisfying attack animation.
Same for Alolan Sandslash, who is even blue.

Because Speed is a misleading Name for the stat, it's more akin to Initiative or reaction speed and not movement

Upsides of synchro machine: Knock out Tera pokemon that block off a spawn
Downsides: you can kill shinies

I love Porygon Z synchro. It going all crazy with it's movement is funny. It's also pretty quick, hovers over water, etc.
