Jamie Nelson wasn’t always a hand. She had to figure out how to realize her dreams in more…creative ways.
I get a lot of messages from folks asking if I have any advice for learning how to participate in this community, and as I’m pretty new to the REAL deal, I turned to the experts when I was out at the branding.
@jamie_c_nelson and I met at work and bonded over our appreciation of The Pulaski Handtool and a friendship blossomed from there.
She and her husband Chance are the ones that initially invited me out to the Lyman Livestock branding last year and have been gently nudging me to be “less hat, more cattle” hahaha.
There’s more interviews to come, but long story short if you really want to do it, the reoccurring theme has been show up and be ready to work, most people aren’t gonna turn you away.
The cattle/ranching community I’ve been lucky to become privy to is extremely gracious, and wants to help people learn.
Not to mention, they want to show that there’s more to it than you’ll see on Yellowstone 🤠🐄🚂
