I just finished my cna training in Miami my instructor told to always verify the patient identity and also before washing hands you have to provide privacy with the curtains

I'd recommend going by your instructors recommendation. I've only been a Nurse for 25 years, a Prometric CNA Evaluator, and the owner of a company that has successfully trained thousands of CNAs using the same steps... But I still need for you to do what your instructor states so that you won't get confused. ❤️❤️ P.S. the students acting as residents during testing won't have on arm bands. Therefore, you can't verify their identification.
So, I think your instructor is teaching you great habits - to use in the real world.
