@timothycharlton Love to hear this! That's what I'm all about! I think understanding tactics makes the game a lot more enjoyable on a lot of levels! Working hard on more good stuff for you, my friend! 🫡
Fantastic. Thanks! I study Fed by watching dozens of full matches and I know exactly where he’s gonna serve before he does! So I’m working on his tactics and this is much appreciated! As a 59 year old professional player, I use my forehand to win. Now I’ve got your help! Thanks!
Another really good video, hope you can get the awareness out and the view counts you deserve. In the mean time I’ll take advantage before my competitors watch and learn 😅
Hey man, just found your channel, watched all your videos and subscribed. Thank you for the amazing content! Here's a couple of suggestions for next videos: 1 - Second serve tactics (as a server) 2- Court coverage and positioning when approaching the net after hitting an offensive shot. Also: best options if you get lobbed. Cheers!
Hey, thank you my friend!! I’m stoked to hear you like what I’m working on! There will be lots more to come! And thanks for the suggestions - adding them to the list!!
@@tennistactics I just looked it up. ITN stands for International Tennis Number. 1 means you are ATP/WTA ranked or could be and make an income with prize money. 10 means you have just started. Concerning my technique I am rather a 3 or 4 player but tactic-wise I was playing poorly. Until now. Waiting desparately for more videos.
This video made me realize that I should focus more on reliable first serve and than position myself on court to be able to hit forhand instead of missing half of first serves in order to hit an ace from time to time :)😅
Very good content I have just subscribed after seeing this video. However, unless I've missed something, I do not think that you have covered the serve to the body.
Hey, thank you! Personally, I will use both targets depending on the kind of play I'm running. I'll have to do a video on my thought process here, it would be a fun one! because I love doubles tactics!
Another great video! Last week I saw Hubert Hurkacz executing this tactic to win his first clay tournament. Can you teach us what makes Sinner so dangerous now? Can you show us how other players overcame both Federer and Djokovic tactics presented by your videos?
YES! I have counters for these that I should totally make videos on! I'll put it on the list! I have a Sinner analysis planned as well! I've had a few requests for that!
Hey! Thanks! I actually have gotten that feedback from a few people and have adjusted the music volume down in the more recent videos! I would appreciate if you took a look at either the Djokovic or collins videos I posted more recently and tell me if you think that's low enough volume! I think it does feel a lot better after I made it quieter, but I'd love to hear your feedback on this! 🙏🏻
@@tennistactics Keep the music, it helps keep things moving. Everyone has an opinion, but you did it for a reason, and I'd go with it! A volume adjustment is all that's necessary. Keep up the amazing work!
It comes from A LOT of time in the game and NEEDING to win. Interestingly, I've found that they are mostly passed on verbally as senior college coaches mentor younger coaches or players. If you find a good coach, you get to learn them one on one. If not, they're hard to find. For a long time this stuff has been reserved for the top of the game, but I'm about to change that! 💪🏻
Well, that's ideal, but if you miss your target you can still run the right play if you recognize it in time. Like, if I mean to serve T, but accidentally hit wide instead, I could see that and adjust where I aim to hit the next ball. Its more ideal to be able to control your serve location, but if you see variety there, then recognition is the next most important thing. Like, just recognize where it actually landed and then play it right from there.
Loving your tactic videos, but let's be honest here most people would improve much more if they had Roger's technique rather than his tactics even though tactics are an essential part of everyone's game.
Yo! Thanks you so much, my friend! Honestly, yeah, I think you're right. Huge technique fan over here. I mean, if someone hits like Federer in their men's league, even if they hit completely random locations or only one location, they will crush... But it becomes more of a factor when you are playing someone with comparable technique. Right? Like If you played a UTR 1, tactics aren't really a factor, because you could hit anywhere you want and you will win. You could even purposely win points in tactically "wrong" ways just for fun... But say you play someone the same level as you... Well, now, without the clear skill advantage, tactics start to get interesting... 🤔
@tennistactics Yes I would agree, and I desperately need some more tactical awareness as I am starting to get to the level where just having good technique is not good enough, so keep the content going!
The drawings and your explanation make this so easy to understand! Thanks for the tennis lesson!
