I really enjoy watching your adventures. I used to live and fish around those parts so I recognise a lot of the locations from the outcrops, islets and profile of the terrain. Have you been to the Mokes yet? Keep up the good work. You have a nice calm, quiet presenting style. It makes a change from the usual loud whooping commentary that seems to be the norm on fishing shows. It comes across that you really love the sport and appreciating Mother Nature.
Cheers 🍻 Ollie, always 👍 Awesome to see 👀 you back under water 💧 in beautiful NZ Totally looking forward to your upcoming tropical island adventures. 🏝 Stay Safe Good Vibes
Always a great watch mate. Keep them coming. Always motivates me to get out and enjoy my fishing/hunting and take only what i need to feed friends and whanau. Cheers bro
RUclips needs to get a multiple likes button! I find myself grabbing my remote over and over during Ollie's videos. Everytime I get annoyed, when I realize I have already liked the video. BTW, Ollie it is has been around 115 F/46.1C in Phoenix, AZ, USA for almost 2 weeks. It is expected to increase to 118F/47.7 this weekend. We are breaking our longest in history record of 18 consecutive days over 110 F/43.3C. I just thought you might enjoy your cold dives a bit more knowing you are NOT in Phoenix.
I've been to Phoenix! I remember the heat well even then (about 10 years ago) opening the door from the hotel it felt like i stepped into a sauna, and the swimming pool was as hot as a spa pool! Cool place though, lookign forward to another trip around the USA~!
Amazing Ollie! I need to work on myself to night dives, it is fantastic. About your tent pole ( if you haven't already upgraded) I would suggest to tie a heavy bungee on that and on the boat seat in the other end, to make it more solid.
Hey Ollie. Don’t know if anybody’s identified that critter for you yet, but that was a type of salp, if I’m not mistaken. Great channel you got there, mate! Cheers & keep it up!
Yer catch looks terrific..... Absolutely Love all that clear clean water....no trash about.... like here in Yank-Land .......... would Very Much like to see what you fellas down under do w/ceviche' recipes
Just discovered your channel... Very good stuff... thankew2much.... I've been following your guidelines for years on the Mendocino coast... Tahoe...and the surrounding Sierras..... calling it "Filet and Release" .... always cook what you catch.... camping and kayaking.......The Best.................
Try the poles from your tent, bend them over from one side of the boat to the other and secure bit of bungy or cable ties?, you'll probably only need one, then no pole in the way or to kick over in the night...👍
Another awesome bit of footage Ollie love the over night camps Bro👌..i was told by a commercial fisherman that clear cucumber is what blue nose and hapuka come in from the deep from the islands to feed on them at this time of the year 😎
Love all your content bro! From wellyz originally but moved to Perth 5 years ago and miss my diving. Always get in when I'm back for a holiday! Love watching all your videos and always looking to see if you have added a new 1.. massive bro stay safe out there and can't wait for the next vid 💪🏽
Have a look at Andy's Fishing on you tube. If you go back to some of his earlier vids you will see the tunnel tent he built for his boat. You can get a really good idea for a tunnel tent on your boat. Love your show.
Great vid Ollie! I’m pretty sure you filmed a male crayfish with it’s tail stretched out at 10:25 just after you gave up looking. In my experience female crays in berry will have their tale tucked up under their bodies to protect their eggs from fish eating them. Didn’t matter tho mate cause you slayed it on the night dive 🦞
Awesome as Ollie great show. Some bro once told me crays make like a clicking sound which helps him hunt. What ya rekon can you hear those crays making any sounds on the move.
I often hear that clicking noise on a healthy reef and have heard that theory before, just not sure if that’s really true or if it’s just fish feeding on the reef.
Any tips on safety when spearfishing solo? I've been spear fishing for a little less than a year, and typically I'm solo. Do you have any rules of thumb that I might find useful? Thanks
Listen to your body. never push it too hard or even close. I don't recommend it but few things like always carry two knives, increase surface interval times etc etc
It looks like a pyrosome as mentioned earlier, very unusual. I think if you could attach fibreglass rods similar to a camping tent it would eliminate the centre pole, tunnelhouse rods or sail battens would work. Great underwater images shown, I stay in the Cove nearby often - excellent in West or SW winds
Hey Ollie. Awesome bro. Have ya thought ov getting ya boat measured up and get tarp made to fit. So you can stand up. And come right over the whole boat. But hey what ya using now works a treat. And your content is wicked really injoy watching it. You should come down to the wairarapa for a dive. That would be a mean trip for ya.
Hey bro yeah I have and might have a new boat coming soon ;) so will get something proper as such made up for that! Def will try to get down there one day maybe later in year towards summer
Aww true new boat ae awesome. Ya going bigger. Yeah summer down in the wraps would be a better bet. Hard to get some clean water in winter specially with southerlys we get. Haven't got any bays that are shelted. But if we got a NW,N,NE, can usely get in somewhere. Depending on how rough the sea has been and rain
@@coreytelford2865 Yeah just a little bigger. Enable me to get out to spots like white island/mokohinaus etc more safely. mate it's been terrible all over the country. tough winter
Aww yip. Yeah better safe than sorry ae bro. The sea takes no prisoners. Look forward to seeing that new boat when ya get it. Yeah my brother is a commercial paua diver, cray fishing. Down palliser bay nagwai. And he's had not a bad run with the diving.
mate i would be shitting myself on a night dive alone N.Z has those things called noas arks and at night are feeding F THAT for a joke nice to see you miss some times and when you went to Samoa what airport did you land at shoot straight Grumpy

Hey mate its a Bush Buck Hunting Bivi
BushBuck 8000 Tarp
Hey Ollie do you still use your Rob Allen Timberline 90cm?
Time to time! Excellent gun, just like the lightness and slim profile of my carbon
Any tips for grabbing crays?
