It is great to see another full right goalie out there. My son transitioned from a custom set of Bauer Machs to the 9X3. He is 6'3" and 165 lbs. He loves his True Pads. They are light, move great, and the upper thigh is stiff. They do come with Pro Laces, which we love as well. They are stiff and take a couple sessions to break in and get used to. They do not have a skate channel or boot strap so the pad sits higher than a Bauer pad. We have become fans of True moving forward...

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I've only ever had CCM so I wanted to try True. Went with the 7x3s and these might have converted me. Agree on the seal, its pretty phenomenal. Thigh rise stiffness and FRS have taken a bit of an adjustment period but I may have dialed in my strapping this morning, every time I've gone a little looser it's gotten better.

Good to know, yeah after looking how they were sitting on my legs I would have probably loosened them up the next skate.

What is your ATK? Thinking about getting a pair but not sure about sizing given I might be in between 33 and 34. How about the sliding? I heard from some other goalies that the slide isn't the greatest on the 9x3's? I have CCM Axis 2's and EFlex 6's.

Love my G6’s, took a few games to break it in but their dials now. Not liking the RX/3 pro+ chesty much. The protection is great but it always needs to be adjusted and it’s too big. The RX/3 pro+ pants are great just wish I got one size smaller.

Yeah I went with the non plus chest for those reasons

Did the same, based on your review... Will be getting Warrior G6 pro, also all black. @@GoalieUnion

I can’t get over how high they sit on you. I’ve always worn my pads resting on the top of my skates

oh I wanted to hear a warrior enthusiast on the true pads. but I got to run (not that you care) so I'll watch later.

Sorry, commenting on an old video here--what knee pads are you using in this? How'd you like them? Strapping looks more secure than my current setup.

Warrior Pro knees, not the Pro+ the regular Pros are more manageable.

Warrior is straight up Beer league caliber and quality so Im not shocked you chose the Street hockey gear. True is Pro proven globally, you are nuts not to give True more then 1 skate.

You must have missed the part where I say I totally get why people love the gear. Preference is a thing and you can’t seem to grasp that, so much so you’re mad online about it. 10 years of skating with NHL players in the off season gives me some decent perspective on the quality of gear but you do you I guess.

@@GoalieUnion Dont take my comment personally. Its backed by facts....MOST Warrior gear is bought off the shelf and played by Beer leaguers. Low end, over-sea's pads around a 1k cost from Vaughn, CCM and Bauer plus the so-called highest end Warrior gear like yours are all on the same page for quality, performance and the minimal cares by the beer league goalies wearing that stuff around the globe. Ive been retailing this stuff for 2+ decades and thats the perception and trend..... but dont take my word for it, you do you. Have fun with your Ball hockey stuff.

@@GoalieUnion No one is crying. I just think one little skate with True and then you picking to stick with the road hockey gear instead is somewhat embarrassing. Thats like some one reviewing a Ford Escape suv vs a BMW X5 SUV and telling the masses you're settling with the much lesser Ford becauseeyou are more "familiar" with it and no other reason because Bias rules your review. Despite the gross amount of reasons the better model is globally more reknowned and popular for reasons beyond your knowledge its probably best you dont admit whats best before doing some homework next time.
