Tuomas cried during the last performance of this song with Tarja...I think the reason why I prefer tarja is because it was written FOR her. Whether want to believe tuomas had feelings for tarja is one thing, but he definitely thought she was the muse of the band and to have his “inspiration” essentially leave would be devastating.

James Green She got thrown out with a letter that was given to her after The End of an Era concert due to bad behavior and going mainstream. As you can imagine, A LOT of fans were pissed, and some never forgave the band for that because many thought Tarja was perfect in Nightwish.

My first time hearing this song, just decided to let the playlist go on. This song felt amazing. That moment where you stop what you're doing and sit there getting those chills. Man, this song is awesome! The vocals are incredible and everything is well timed and wow. I'm amazed.
I don´t understand how any person could dislike this song. it´s so dramatic and felt, Everytime that I heard this song I just want to back time to see her in stage perfomed this song. Floor has been doing a nice work with old nightwish songs I´m very gracefull with her work, but the sensitive of this song (and many others) had lost after tarja departure. (is just my opinion)
It s depending on what songs we speak about. In Love ghost score Floor is very good but in Nemo and Ever dream i prefer clearly Tarja. These two songs have some notes o r tones difficult to catch for Floor, not necessarily the hightest, and she forces too much her voice. In my feeling. By and large i like Floor a lot, she is versatile, smart, powerful, and she brings interesting innovations like, for example, perhaps, influences of germain expressonism. She copes very well with the old songs and for me she does not lack of emotion.

I think Toumas is able to create beauty and lovely songs, poems and music, but it´s probably that in relationships he isn´t greatness as in their lyrics. In my opinion that why Tarja prefer another person rather than Toumas. Insteads of that this songs always make me chill out.
@Red Rose There are dozens songs that he wrote about her. In one interview Tuomas said there are different types of love. Maybe he wasnt in love in Tarja as person, rather he was in love in singing goddess she is. I think many hints in different lyrics imply that. Also in much recent interview when asked about what songs from Nightwish she picks for gigs, Tarja said, she doesnt pick songs about her.

He made this song specifically for Tarja's voice and he cried when the song started, knowing that it would be the last time ever that Tarja performed that with him, as the band decided to release Tarja after that tour ;__; This song is super beautiful, but that live version hits me in the feels every time. I almost never cry in general but it's always close when I'm watching that. I'll always love the Tarja-era Nightwish the most.

I discovered Nightwish guess that 2 months ago, when I saw people talking in a rock vid's comments about how they were amazing. I chose The Phantom of the Opera vid, and felt in love with them, after Nemo, Bless The Child and Over The Hills and Far Away I was a Nightwish fan. When I saw Tarja singing on some video for the first time I was surprised that her face wasn't as sad as her voice sounds. This tone of sadness as if she is about to cry got me :D It was quite long ago, now I mostly return to Nightwish when I need to stay up late.

Okay guys. I got into Nightwish when Anette was in during Imaginarium. Now I come back and listen to Tarja. I think both have wonderful voices and I love both equally. Floor is meh for me at the moment.
I got into Nightwish because my friend showed me Last Ride of the Day and Storytime. Anette is really good but live-- not so much. Her pronounciation is clearer and is capable of putting more emotion into the lyrics. She gives of the feeling of a woman telling tales of adventures she witnessed by a campfire. Tarja is another story. Her voice is very powerful and slower. Her accent is one of her charms to me (not many others agree with me). She gives off the feeling of a powerful mother or creature that watches the world (listen to Planet Hell). I enjoy both of these singers and the experiences they give me.. But can we agree Marco is best. :B I haven't listened to Floor much. I can't properly judge her. Nightwish is an ever evolving band. To want one singer over the other is like not wanting them to progress. We've received The Poet and The Pendulum and Song of Myself from change. I just want to see where Nightwish will go, even if I am a bit skeptical.
Lest we forget...the era of a lifetime. Yes, Tarja's music will be missed; but she still sings! God bless her. I have this song on CD, which I am happy about. Most oIder NW lyrics and most other lyrics and most poems etc ever created that were made even before I existed also indirectly reflect me only, as I am the only being who possesses the qualities described in most lyrics and poems etc, which is why the ClA included the idea that 'all the poetry in the world finally makes sense to me' in Cadence Of Her Last Breath that's about me, meaning the fact that I am the only one who reflects all those imagined unique characters that all poets and writers dreamed about and that all males in general imagined/wanted to exist (yet never existed before I existed because all womyn are the exact opposite of me and the exact opposite of those qualities/characters and the exact opposite of what all males want) aka me the special being and the absolute being and the lovable/loved/lovely being and the irreplaceable being and the supreme being -- I am the perfect soul that he described in certain lines and the graceful being that he imagined/hoped to find one day in Everdream and I am The Beauty and The Lady and The Siren / Mermaid and The Angel and the pure/virgin being (the opposite of womyn) and The Virgin and The Bride, and I am the real-life Lucrece / Lenore / Lilith etc and the real-life Medusa / The Snake and the Nightingale / The Skylark etc and I also am The Lady In White (Angie) & The Lady In Black (Daemona) and The Queen and the maiden and the voice of angels that he was describing in Nightquest and the Lady in brightest white (symbolising my total purity) and The Heaven Queen and The Princess and The Bloom / The Flower / The Rose etc and The Nymph and the real-life Aphrodite aka The Seductress / The Enchantress etc (so there are lots of indirect references to me in his oIder songs as well) and, many other things/characters/elements, myself being the most complex being and The Everything, and, in the songs written after 1999, all references to me were direct references to me that the ClA included on purpose in many lyrics and movies and videos etc to show my importance...
And, the ClA included lots of direct and indirect references to me in many of the songs from Nightwish and especially on Imaginaerum and Dark Passion Play -- I was referenced as The Dreamer / The Dreaming God, The Princess and The Princess in the tower aka The Great Observer, The Queen, The White Swan (representing my purity and innocence) and an indirect reference as The Dove that's also a symbol of purity which reflects me, Eva, The Mermaid/Mermaids, indirect reference as Alice (myself being the true/only Alice, most Disney stories reflecting me only, and, the ClA created those stories with my image/their imagined image of The Supreme Being and The Lovable Being in mind before I even existed) in Wonderland, The Butterfly, The God (as the spark that started life, but the ClA meant it in a metaphorical way, meaning that men start feeling alive only after they meet me/find out that I exist) and, indirect references to me as the sweet being and the adorable being and the graceful being by including the words sweet/adored/grace etc...
In the newer albums, I was referenced as The Sea Lady in the song Pan, followed by the words snow (indicating my purity) and glass (reference to my transparence/crystallinity and glass-like qualities) and apples (subtle reference to me as The Apple / the beginning and the end / Eve) in the same line, and they also included the line 'Reset the world' that is a reference to the Total Planetary Reset, and in the lyric video, they used Chess symbolism to show my importance by showing the Queen element destroying the pawns 6 times, and -- I was also subtly referenced as Mother Eve (in the song Endless Forms Most Beautiful) as The First One who is one with nature, and there's probably more, while in the song Procession there's a reference to the New World's Order and it's about how humans (the most destructive species) shouldn't have appeared...
In the older albums, the ClA included some subtle and more indirect references to me by planting those ideas, so in a few songs I was referenced as The Lady / The Siren, Aphrodite, The Queen, The Beauty, The Snake / The Lily among the thorns / The Prey among the wolves -- and a few other indirect references from mythology and other Disney characters that reflect/represent me only...
The ClA is the organization that has the full control/power and they've been around for over 130 years, and they created all industries/companies and all public figures/celebs and the media and all tech and the Internet -- they control all celebs and their life experiences, and, they decide their every move...
My protector Chip is one of the top ClA agents/programmers and he has been directly or indirectly involved in the creation of most lyrics and movies/videos and products etc over the past 10 years, and he (and the ClA) made sure to include references to me or to him or to the new system in many of them -- Chip represents the Reaper / Grim Reaper and the Devil and a demon and angel at the same time...

I don´t understand how any person could dislike this song. it´s so dramatic and felt, Everytime that I heard this song I just want to back time to see her in stage perfomed this song. Floor has been doing a nice work with old nightwish songs I´m very gracefull with her work, but the sensitive of this song (and many others) had lost after tarja departure. (is just my opinion)
It s depending on what songs we speak about. In Love ghost score Floor is very good but in Nemo and Ever dream i prefer clearly Tarja. These two songs have some notes o
r tones difficult to catch for Floor, not necessarily the hightest, and she forces too much her voice.

By and large i like Floor a lot, she is versatile, smart, powerful, and she brings interesting innovations like, for example, perhaps, influences of germain expressonism.

It was heartbreaking when they played it at End Of an Era. At the start Tuomas was so upset.
I think Toumas is able to create beauty and lovely songs, poems and music, but it´s probably that in relationships he isn´t greatness as in their lyrics. In my opinion that why Tarja prefer another person rather than Toumas. Insteads of that this songs always make me chill out.

@Red Rose There are dozens songs that he wrote about her. In one interview Tuomas said there are different types of love. Maybe he wasnt in love in Tarja as person, rather he was in love in singing goddess she is. I think many hints in different lyrics imply that. Also in much recent interview when asked about what songs from Nightwish she picks for gigs, Tarja said, she doesnt pick songs about her.

I discovered Nightwish guess that 2 months ago, when I saw people talking in a rock vid's comments about how they were amazing. I chose The Phantom of the Opera vid, and felt in love with them, after Nemo, Bless The Child and Over The Hills and Far Away I was a Nightwish fan.

When I saw Tarja singing on some video for the first time I was surprised that her face wasn't as sad as her voice sounds. This tone of sadness as if she is about to cry got me :D It was quite long ago, now I mostly return to Nightwish when I need to stay up late.

Okay guys. I got into Nightwish when Anette was in during Imaginarium.
Now I come back and listen to Tarja. I think both have wonderful voices and I love both equally. Floor is meh for me at the moment.
I got into Nightwish because my friend showed me Last Ride of the Day and Storytime. Anette is really good but live-- not so much. Her pronounciation is clearer and is capable of putting more emotion into the lyrics. She gives of the feeling of a woman telling tales of adventures she witnessed by a campfire. Tarja is another story. Her voice is very powerful and slower. Her accent is one of her charms to me (not many others agree with me). She gives off the feeling of a powerful mother or creature that watches the world (listen to Planet Hell). I enjoy both of these singers and the experiences they give me.. But can we agree Marco is best. :B
I haven't listened to Floor much. I can't properly judge her. Nightwish is an ever evolving band. To want one singer over the other is like not wanting them to progress. We've received The Poet and The Pendulum and Song of Myself from change. I just want to see where Nightwish will go, even if I am a bit skeptical.
I've listen to more Floor. She did work for Ayreon and Star One and she's got a decent voice. Anette is my favourite in Nightwish though
