Two kids on a playground, spontaneously inventing their adventure game as they go - two jazz greats in a studio, making it up on the fly - this is the real deal, folks - this is why they call it playing. My tears of joy......
Absolutely blown away by this performance by the both of you. This is my first exposure to your music; I've been following Chick's music for about 50 years. You're a truly amazing player.
Never before and Never again. My two most favorite pianists. So much talent, so much interplay and listening to each other, so much creativity, all in 6 minutes. I miss you Chick so much. And I adore you and your talent Eliane. What a treasure this recording is. Virtuosity at its finest. Rest In Peace Chick. Play on Eliane, you are such a powerful musician.
ELIANE ELIAS - There Will Never Be Another You My favorite song to play when trying out a new instrument at the guitar store is THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER YOU - from my second-favorite composer after Dick Rodgers - Harry (Salvatore Guaragna) Warren. So. It's quarter to three, and there's no one in the place except you and me, and Siriusly Sinatra satellite radio is playing my new favorite jazz version - by Brazilian singer / pianist Eliane Elias. Is it at RUclips? Even better: Eliane and the late great Chick Corea 'alone together' with Yamaha concert grand pianos - the best 'four-handed' rendition I could even imagine. Made all the more poignant because Chick Corea died that same year, 2021. Google to be reminded that he was the most decorated of all jazz pianists: he won 27 (correct) Grammy awards and was nominated more than 70 times. Really, isn't this wonderful? Thanks for sharing Eliane Elias. Celebrated elsewhere [search] " Great Melody, Great Lyric, Great Rendition, Songwriting Workshop, Harmony Central " ruclips.net/video/cZTq0siU3Ik/видео.html
Wikipedia: Armando Anthony "Chick" Corea (June 12, 1941 - February 9, 2021) was an American jazz composer, pianist, keyboardist, bandleader, and occasional percussionist.[2][3] His compositions "Spain", "500 Miles High", "La Fiesta", "Armando's Rhumba", and "Windows" are widely considered jazz standards.[4] As a member of Miles Davis's band in the late 1960s, he participated in the birth of jazz fusion. In the 1970s he formed Return to Forever.[3] Along with McCoy Tyner, Herbie Hancock, and Keith Jarrett, Corea is considered to have been one of the foremost jazz pianists of the post-John Coltrane era.[5] Corea continued to collaborate frequently while exploring different musical styles throughout the 1980s and 1990s. He won 27 Grammy Awards and was nominated more than 70 times for the award. Corea celebrated his 75th birthday in 2016 by playing with more than 20 different groups during a six-week stand at the Blue Note Jazz Club in Greenwich Village, New York City. "I pretty well ignore the numbers that make up 'age'. It seems to be the best way to go. I have always just concentrated on having the most fun I can with the adventure of music."[20] Corea died of a rare form of cancer shortly after his diagnosis. He died at his home near Tampa Bay, Florida on February 9, 2021, at the age of 79.[2][33][34]
I learned to play this song at age 15 when I took a couple of months of jazz lessons. It is still my favorite song ever, and one of the easiest to solo on. I've been playing it now for 65 years.
There will be no others like the late maestro Chic Corea. Eliane Eli's are still remain my favourite lady jazz pianist. Greetings from Jazzman Kuala Lumpur.
If I had to pick a favorite live concert of any musician, it would be the Chick Corea Akoustic Band in Mannheim, Germany in 1988. I didn't know it was possible for anyone to play with such amazing technique and at the same time, musicality like he could. Eliane Elias is another favorite of mine. I always love to hear her take any performance in a different direction than you expect. I always love how original she is. It's amazing to hear them together. Thank you Eliane for posting this.
Goosebump overload! Giants amongst us! Picking up my jaw from the floor half the time and smiling like a fool the other half! Punctuated by exclamations of delight!
Excelente grabación con el Maestro Chick Corea (q.e.p.d). Magnífico duo con la notable pianista Eliane Elias. Felicitaciones y bendiciones para esta gran maestra. ELIANE demuestra una gran sensibilidad para el JAZZ.
Every time I play this Video, I get this ear to ear smile from beginning to end. Awesome beautiful. Eliane and Chick making musical history. Thanks for posting this
Wonderful stuff. If anything, for me Eliane is the more fluent player of these two remarkable pianists. But hey, they're both way better than me..! What a joy to listen to these guys playing together.
Thanks eliane, you are such a great pianist and so underated, well you first are a woman, second you are from brazil, third you are white ... I love so much your tribute to Bill Evans and the you live version of aqua de marcos in Japan was so lyrical and of course your Jazz/Bossa albums. No need to praise Chick Corea i think, i hope his left hand is ok anyway he is so good that he could play with 2 fingers.
Chic with his foot on the brake pedal trying to end the thing, and Elaine still on a full tank of gas. Great to see this kinda stuff. Boy, those Yam's are a really bright sound...
I am so happy you got to do this project with Chick before he got away, and I'm so sorry he left so suddenly. I miss him madly. I'll see you at Catalina in June . . at least once 🙏
Eliane, this is my introduction to your music. Brava! It's hard to not get a little teary-eyed listening to you and and one of my heroes. Thank you so much!
Eliane is just a gem. I think she got overshadowed for years by Diana Krall (who I do love, but she isn't the musician that Eliane is) - another beautiful blonde (married to Elvis Costello) who plays the piano in a jazz style and sings - but Eliane is a true jazz musician.
Wow!..After all. What is music all about?. Whether we are keyboard players, drummers, bass players, whatever! It's great to hear the sound created with those two 80 foot pianos with all those mikes!!..lol New fan of Miss Elias and sending all my best to Chick.
I saw and listened to this great pianist at an event in a beautiful park of a villa west of Florence, Italy, back in the 90s. Memorable evening, will never forget. He was at his best...like always and today still. Thank You Chick!
Two kids on a playground, spontaneously inventing their adventure game as they go - two jazz greats in a studio, making it up on the fly - this is the real deal, folks - this is why they call it playing. My tears of joy......
Nic, nice, nice ,beauutiful
Pure jazz
A classic meeting of jazz minds and souls !
Watched this so many times. Chick, you are dearly missed!
I love the way Eliane Elias is approaching this, so much softness, she can make a major chord sound melancholic
Absolutely blown away by this performance by the both of you. This is my first exposure to your music; I've been following Chick's music for about 50 years. You're a truly amazing player.
It's just incredible what can be done with 12 notes. Music is a true miracle.

Play on Len with one of the greatest songs ever written!🙂
I've been playing jazz for 30y (and way too much of Autumn Leaves) until I discovered this song recently. I think it's Autumn Leaves v2.0
There will be no others like the late maestro Chic Corea. Eliane Eli's are still remain my favourite lady jazz pianist. Greetings from Jazzman Kuala Lumpur.
