I haven't gotten around to Hickman's X-Men run. I know this video doesn't include house and powers of x. But comicstorian doesn't have a full story of house and Powers. He just has a 12 minute explanation. Would that suffice or should I really watch the entire story on comics explained. Just looking for an opinion thanks

Hey guys just a quick question. I haven't gotten around to Hickman's X-Men run starting with house and powers of x. Unfortunately comicstorian doesn't have a house and Powers full story and just a 12-minute recap. Comics explained does have a 3-hour full story of house and powers of x that I can start with and then come to this story. Would you suggest that the way I go or could I just watch the 12-minute recap from comicstorian and then come to this video with dawn of X and X of swords Etc?

@@Daveyboy_GolfR Yeah you're probably gonna have to catch up, cause there are certain characters you might not have seen before, or makes you wonder "how and why are they here?" And other details that may confuse you. I mean he does explain some details but a lot of other details are still confusing to me. Or you could be like me and just watch this video with limited knowledge of this previous storylines, get confused and just accept that that's how thing are now
One thing that always seems dumb to me is in all these "dark futures" the X-men are always alone. Marvel doesnt only have mutants, it has the Avengers and various heroes and villains. These other guys wouldnt stand still and watch everything go to hell, Franklin Richards alone can destroy all the sentinels with a snap not to mention Thor, Hulk, Captain A, Spider Man, Venom, Captain marvel etc.
well thats idiotic, so in that logic should the x-men be in every major event becuase they wouldnt sit still either, like where was most of x-men in king in black or emphr, or war of the realms, you know why because it wasnt a x-men story and they wouldve been out of place, just like why the current devils reign would be out of place if they added any x-men to the line up of heroes in that event. Devil reign characters like any event are picked too fit the story its why 9/10 other than tony are heroes who operate in NY becuase the villian is KINGPIN.

@@kram9850 Nah you're the idiotic one in this case it involves the entire earth doesn't matter where they are Venom and Spider Man would be involved since they'd be affected by the human vs mutant war as well. It's like Infinity War story line everybody was there including Avengers and XMen.

@@kram9850 based on your examples, a lot of X-Men were involved in King in Black series. As well as, Civil War, House of M to name two more. Listening to this video I thought the same as above, "Where are every other non-mutant/Inhumans?"
Historically the x men were always slightly isolated from the other heroes and it's been portrayed that it to indicate that even amongst the heroes mutants were still kind of second class. Goes with the whole civil rights and equality themes in the x men overall.
Benjamin, you will always be my favorite comic storyteller, even if your channel had lost me for awhile, I still always go back to watch these full stories.
Seems like we skipped a bunch of x of swords in the middle, not sure what happened there. Other than that its awesome.
X-men issue #4 was one of my favorite issues. That issue shows you that mutants aren’t fucking around anymore😂

Was anyone else disappointed by X of Swords? The beginning quests to gather the swords was sick, and so was the final battle, but the actual tournament was so underwhelming that it hurt.

Am I the only one disappointed with this story line. From professor X looking like the maker, mutants are basically immortal, and have very little actual conflict with humanity. I'm happy this event is over and I hope we get back to.... Xmen stories that have emotional weight and stakes.

From the context, it seems she literally starts over when she dies, as the exact same person but with memories from the future.

One of the fives power is to alter reality it’s part of how they make the new body so probably just popped em on so he could wake up without destroying the room (I question why they don’t just repair the injury that causes his lack of control in the first place)
Its not an injury. His eyes, since mutation are portals to a dimension of pure energy. So when he opens them, blasts of energy shoot out. Unless they take away his mutation via a cure, they cant ‘repair’ him

How is Moira living many lifetimes and coming back to meet the same X-Men who are not able to reincarnate?
I think it's repeating the same timeline for her.
Also it folds all the X-Men cannon (to include House of M, Age of Apocalypse, etc) into one without dismissing it as "it's not revelant or we are going to trash it".
Each of Moria lives has been her in the background trying to redo certain things to insure mutant sovereignty as a country & people.

She spent the First 2 lives trying to figure out what she was, her second life is where she knew it was different.
The only variables where the things she did.
So for her it's a scientific experiment.
The variable she could not control was the mutant Destiny (Destiny's Dairies), she was that singular variable that Moria couldn't control & the only one who knew what she was about.
What would be fun to see is what happened in Moria during life 6.
The graphic has it blank but the story is their just 10,000 years ahead. So that's a gap we don't know & her longest life yet

Feel like you should have done all the x comics around swords, swords itaelf was kinda weak to me. Also seems like a lot of the feats in Planet-Size were skipped but I guess it seemed like you were rushing by the end.
Yeah I actually unfortunately came here to say the same. I really could not keep up with all of what was going on. Very little explanation just a bunch of moving pieces and skipped stories. Kinda hard to call it a full story when they leave out very important parts
