I wanted to sit down with you today and chat about my latest career pivot. I have been keeping this to myself (honestly, you know before my own mother lol) but this is just too good to keep for myself.
I have recently done a lot of research into how to break into technology without a degree. I honestly had no idea how viable it was to begin a new technology job with no experience.
What I have learned so far has me fully convinced that single moms should be in tech not only due to salary potential but also all of the other unique perks that are offered.

First of all congratulations on making that leap! I’m not gonna lie getting into the job search is the REAL work once the course is done lol. However the funny thing is you are using the exact same skills to find an SDR role that you would be using in the role. And of course there’s a lot of rejection that comes with that but it’s all preparation ☺️☺️☺️

Love this content and you sharing your journey 😊. I am a Certified Medical Assistant in which I’ve only been in healthcare for 5 years in which I came from customer service call centers for almost 20 years. I need a change financially and just overall a good change in a career. I’ve been researching Tech for about 6 months now like watching Cyrus and Anthony RUclips videos in which have been very informative. Coursecareers seems like a great fit price wise and time wise. I don’t have whole $500 but by the end of the week I’ll have some of it. Do coursecareers do payment plans? I’m tired of holding off so rest to get into Tech. Definitely looking forward for more of your progress.
Thank you for taking the time to watch and I think it’s smart you have taken the time to research before making this transition. One think this course will absolutely teach you is how to taken those medial and customer service skills and use them as a benefit when reaching out to tech companies!!! They do have a payment plan and that’s what I did actually. Thank you for this video because I have been looking at different courses for a few weeks and I keep coming back to course careers. Will be signing up on Tuesday, when I'll be paid from spark. Have gotten one of the needed books, but having trouble finding the prospecting and spin selling book. Was trying to find them locally, but looks like I'll have to have them shipped to me. I read Carnegie years ago, but probably wouldn't hurt for a refresher. Single mother, been working gig work for a few years but that doesn't really provide the life I want for my son. Any advice?
Hello to you! Congratulations on making the decision to move forward with Course Careers. My biggest piece of advice would be to go all in with this course. You are going to learn everything you need in order to land a job that will change your entire life. I have so many updates but I want to wait until things are finalized…but please trust me when I say, the money you will spend on this course is WELL worth it! I’ll be back as soon as I can with an update so please stay tuned!!! (Btw, I was huge on gig jobs and I decided to drop them to pursue this fully…best decision ever!)
@@ChatelaMonae I'm not skeptical on it, though I do have friends trying to dissuade me from moving forward. She's always had lift goals, but never moves forward with anything unless she can see the path laid out clearly, my argument has always been sometimes you have to step out in faith tho. I've been trying to get things in order that can be done before starting the course, since I honestly can not start until Tuesday. Financially that isn't possible, not I don't want to.
@@reganmartin6433 I totally understand and no worries you will know the best time to start. Also, trust yourself. It can be so easy to let the voices of others get in our heads and cause confusion but what I have learned is to check the source. If I am making a faith move, honestly speaking I cannot hold to much weight to the opinion of someone who places more trust in the things of this world over God. That is just one example but if you really feel like you are being led to do this, pray about it and seek God's guidance. Let Him know the desires of your heart, start moving and ask that He direct your steps! You've got this!

I have not taken the final exam and what I can say is that they have updated it and now it is proctored. However, I do keep getting questions about it so I am going to take the exam so that I can come back with a update on that portion.

@@liv24k hey! That’s a great question so for this role I would say it more so heavy prospecting. Your main job is to find the business, pitch the product and then set them up on a meeting with your account executive who would close the deal! So you don’t have the pressure is “making the sale”, you just have to fill the pipeline with qualified leads. Hope this helps! (FYI I’m not huge on sales either unless it’s something I truly believe in!)

Would you say Tech would be for a type of person who is shy?
Of course! Believe it or not I’m very introverted and not very talkative in most social settings. That said there are many opportunities where you only talk with people via chat (ie product specialists). But the same way you have been able to do any other job is the same way you can do this one!

Absolutely! The course it designed so that legitimately anyone could lead the material. Honestly I wish I would have started at that age!
