Soft skills vs hard skills definitely some terms the young people gotta keep informed about lol
I can’t seem to find them on IG. Pls help with the link
Not sure who needs to hear this but if you've been going through a hard time I hope things get better for you and your family .keep your head up and stay blessed. You're still here for a reason.
Thank you for this 💕
Thank you so much
Thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you
Thank you so much
Love all of this.... I did the same thing in 2013-2014 I quit my Medical Coding job and went to a bootcamp and when i graduated I looked for positions that were in the healthcare field dealing with IT positions.. my first job was 6 months after graduation June 2014. now its 2022 and I am working as a goverment contractor in DHA as a project manager... DONT GIVE UP GO FOR IT is my advice... Yah Bless!
- what is the name of the bootcamp you attended????
What is the name of the boot camp?
Congratulations
Yesss 🔥
The irony I get out the government career (military) because I was being denied of an IT opportunity. I guess, in due time this MS in Cybersecurity will pay off
One important tip when updating your resume for a career transition is to tailor it to the specific job you're applying for. Research the desired skills and qualifications for the new role and emphasize how your previous teaching experience aligns with them. You've got this!
I just want to say, I used some of your tips to apply to a different company and I got the job! Thank you so much!
Aw I love this! Thank you for sharing!
🧢
My husband is in tech and he loves It. My local community college is offering an IT program with a concentration in Cloud computing. The core classes focus on Linex, Python etc. I was going to study nursing but this seems more appealing. Plus, I've never met anyone in tech who is unhappy.
I want to get into cloud. I started a course in cloud guru and liked it but stopped because of life but I’m ready again
@@truthliesbeneath3134 wishing u gl!
@@iiTrendyz thank you. I’m back on study for my course. I even was told I should do something else because I have no tech experience but I’m listening to me.
Omg me too! I’m changing from nursing to tech.
I know a small handful of nurses who were originally in IT, but I know a LOT of nurses who keep thinking about getting into tech. Nursing gave me a lot of opportunities but also a lot of PTSD and physical stress, so go IT.
Congrats! I can relate to not really feeling an industry, but also not knowing what I'd really love to do and be good at. I felt stuck in an industry because I had experience. This video gave me the ammunition to keep trying to improve how I market myself and to not give up over a few failures. Great advice! The STAR method stomps me, but having interchangeable examples really help when nervous. Thank you! :)
I really appreciate your video! I’m currently in education and contemplating going into tech. Very informational! ❤️
Thank youuuuuuuu. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Straight to the point. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This video is absolute gold. Imani's advice is on point with the advice she's giving on reviewing the JD, telling your career story, and most importantly -- practice, practice, practice for those interviews! We help people transition into tech jobs every day, and this video is a fantastic starting point, thanks Imani!
This video was absolutely amazing. You showed us the step by step process couldn’t have asked for a better video.
So helpful! Thank you so much for sharing your resources and experience!
You are such a gem!!! I’m currently waiting to hear back from Merit and I’m excited about getting into this new career field! I also come from the insurance world but in healthcare! All the detailed tips that you gave are amazing!! May God bless you in your new career field and future endeavors!
This the kind of stuff that should be taught in school. You are amazing, thank you sm!
Congratulations, Iman. Thank you for sharing these insightful points.
Good for you, congratulations!!! Keep taking risks and make space 🥰
Just found your page thank you so much for this! And the people in the comments as well! I recently completed my Google Data Analytics cert and was starting to get discouraged with all the rejection letters I was getting for supposed entry data analyst roles. But I’m gonna be kind to myself and give myself some time and focus on creating more projects to showcase what I know! Rome wasn’t built in a day. I’m seeing people saying it took them 5/6 months to get a job and it’s only been a little over two months. Here’s to keeping the momentum and not giving up!
I loved this video. This video gave me hope & you are also so well spoken. Thank you again !
Hey girl, loved this video and how transparent you were. This gave me all the confidence for my interview tomorrow for an Implementation specialist.
This was an excellent video! You gave such great advice and key tools needed to advance and land a job in ANY industry!
Thank you for such a thorough and realistic video! This deck gives hope! Thanks again!
Thank you so much for your tips. I'm transitioning from the legal field and very interested in the tech industry. Your tips will definitely help me in my search.
Wow! What an amazing, full of information video! Thank You for posting it! 🙏
Thank you Imani this was Very helpful, concise, and well organized. You’re awesome!
Great video, one of the ways I got a job with no experience was by creating a video, that made me stand out from the crowd, and they felt like they knew me before I even turned up to the interview!
was it an introduction video of yourself?
this video was perfect and so in depth! thank you for also posting examples
Great tips, saving this video for later as i am currently looking to transition into a new role :)
Love this! I to am in the personal injury legal field. Have been so for over 15 years. Definitely excited about my transition into tech! ❤

Thank you so much. I needed this today 🎉🙌🏾 by the end of this year I'm pushing for a huge career change. It's much needed I'm burned out and I'm doing what you did before this industry. Draining with not enough pay.
My job has me severely burnt out and they make it impossible to get to anywhere else within my company. I'm in a large company which sucks becuz you want to stay but some ppl get stuck in one position even when you try to get out
@@kapparhotau181 are you in tech? I hate to hear that you feel stuck and burned out
The Greensboro NC caught me off guard lol. That’s my hometown. Great video though, thanks for all the gems
Thank Miss Gorgeous for all this knowledge i will take it and run with it.
This was very helpful, thank you
This video was super helpful!
So I typed in transitioning into tech and this was the first video that popped up. I’ve been in the insurance industry for a while working as a pip adjuster and now I’m a litigation analyst. I have a BA in Com and a Masters in Sociology. I’m not sure why I’ve been scared to transition into tech but I’m so glad I came across this video. Definitely an inspiration. ❤️🙏🏾
So pretty! Thanks for the advice. I’m currently transferring into the tech field.
Anytime lovely! 💕 thanks for watching
Imani, congratulations on your new journey! You are a bright woman with a great future ahead of you, as someone who is much older than you, I’ve been here from the beginning of your channel when you got your pup and I absolutely love your channel. Yes! I felt the exact same! If work is stressful, please at least be fulfilling

SELF MADE MILLENIAL IS A GOAT! WHEN IT COMES TO JOB INTERVIEWS
Very helpful. Thank you so much!!!
You're welcome! 😊
Amazing information!
Thank you for this video. I’m currently in franchise growth/development/store support and want to get into Tech, my current role doesn’t pay well for the amount of work you have to do and we work all holidays and handle over 100 stores. No work life balance.
