    Nice job. I sure appreciate your up-close shots and showing each connector removal. That back one was snugged into a collar pretty good. For others, you really need a pry tool...easier than doing it by pulling.

      Hey, I’m just curious my 1.6 is not there the position you showed. I thought I fixed it with a little wiggle on a loose wire harness, but my light came on again and I’d like to fix this part. I can’t afford to take it to the dealer thanks for any help. Have a great day.

    Hose needle style works great, different sizes and some are angled, use pliers, get grip twist, it breaks the heat stuck rubber and comes off real easy, learned to use them when vacuum lines on the older cars with carbs, also f=works great on heater hoses.

    Just so you know, you don't need to use the pry bar to remove the hoses. The hoses stick to the bath fittings. Simply take the pliers, grip the hoses on the barbs and twist them (so this before unclipping the sensor). Once they spin free, you can pull them right off without any issues.

      @@rudymcconnohie7511 On these engines there is a Ford bulletin about this turbo sensor. It will need to be replaced as they fail often after a certain amount of time. Unfortunately the sensor usually seizes on the intercooler on which it is attached, so you may need to replace the intercooler along with the sensor as I had to. My cost was over 800 dollars Canadian for a 50 dollar small sensor replacement.And they had to remove the entire front bumper/clip to access it.

    Have a 2014 escape 2.0 throwing code P0299 on occasion. Dealer and local shop has tried to figure out cause to no avail.
    Figured ill try this since it often comes up as common cause of over/under boost codes.
    At least its a cheap part and easy to replace. Figured they’d bury it so it would take half a day to replace.
    Thanks for the vid.

    • @theonedubgaming5895
      @theonedubgaming5895 Месяц назад

      The wastegate is in the hot side of the turbo, the plunger in the wastegate actuator controls when it opens and the wastegate can be jammed by carbon holding it open or closed causing boost issues

    • @deuceliter

      @vapinbachelor289 It would feel like slippage or a small vibration and loss of power around 45 - 55. Changed fluid, and it went away! Fluid should be changed every 50k but it was around 110k and never done.

      @@deuceliter Mine is surging as well, under moderately hard accel, especially feel it in sport mode. I just bought this thing from the dealer I work at, and luckily its a CPO vehicle, so currently have transmission parts on order, but a part of the issue is the torque converter, which is on backorder. Ford is footing the entire bill. Has 117k on it, and the same repair was done at 61k. Mine has the 2-3 shift bump that is a very common problem with these 6F transmissions. Hopefully that will cure the surging as well. Great little vehicle, but the transmissions suck. Being a Ford parts guy, we probably do a couple of these a month.
