For all the nitpicking. This performance is stellar by anyone else's high quality expectations. These greats aren't going to be around forever. Don't treat them like they somehow don't matter. If you stopped listening somewhere in their career. Doesn't mean they still don't have a beautiful career. I'm sure Uli Jon Roth is having a great time.
His influence goes so far and wide. Loved and revered as a kind person as well as the composer of some incredibly difficult yet musical guitar expeditions.
Uli Jon Roth... one of the most influential and revered hard rock (before the term 'metal' was even coined) MASTERS and original shred guitar GOD! One of the all time best, hands down!
Ulrich (as he was known in the day) was the first rock guitar virtuoso and still one of the best. Today's rock God's are 3rd generation UJR's. Fly to the Rainbow will make you cry it is so good. This is a great performance of that material and shows that Up I still is all that. Thanks for this. Really enjoyed.

Uli has a uniqueness to his ‘vibrato’ that still makes him easy to identify by ear to this day. It’s ULI’s springy, eerily fluttering nervousness at the top end that is so fluid..and intentionally Controlled. Ghostly by design. . Like a human Theremin.

Wow. This performance really highlights how awesome Klaus Meine's vocals are. Klaus is in my top 3 best rock vocals ever. His voice is so suited to rock, especially when Uli would match his notes on the guitar like in their performance of Seas of Charon on RUclips. That's the number 1 Scorpions song ever, I can listen to Seas of Charon ten times in a row and still want more.
Yes, I also like Klaus Meine's voice more but the guy is doing a great job. And I also think Uli sounds better with a strat but he's such a brilliant guitar player, he sounds awesome with every guitar. Great performance

@@lobba123 Not at all, he still has it. He's not able to sing absurdly high songs anymore true, but if anything its just his accent. Although his voice does seem to get tired faster throughout the show, as he seems very tired by the time they get to the recognized songs, yethe still pushes to give it his all.

That Uli abandoned playing Stratocasters, is one of the great mysteries of rock. He had the best tone this side of David Gilmour. That Sky guitar will never sound good to me.
He wanted many more notes, but the mighty wing pickups are odd sounding. I suspect the high frequencies are going away for Uli after many years of playing.
Not the best performance I've seen/heard of these songs......& the mix is off....makes it sound a little sloppy around the edges. But I'll take Uli on a BAD day....ANY day. haha!
Love Uli and the band, just a shame they had to have Nathan James on vocals for the revisited stuff. His embarrassing little ego rant about Inglorious really put me off. A real David Brent character.
