NBAA 2022: Flying Cirrus Vision Jet + New Gulfstream G800

- I flew a Cirrus Vision Jet G2+ from Atlanta Hartsfield Int’l; the world’s busiest airport to the 2022 NBAA-BACE in Orlando. My Cirrus instructor Joel Mayo showed me all the features inside the Vision Jet. It is the most affordable personal jet out there; costing about $3 Million.
We rotated at 85 knots of speed out of the busy airspace of Atlanta. En route to Orlando, I flew several maneuvers inside the Vision Jet such as steep turns and stalls. My instructor also showed me the auto land and parachute features onboard. Watch my landing at Orlando Executive Airport. The jet has GA handling quality and it is easy to fly with the side stick.
The new ultra-long-range Gulfstream G800 made its debut at 2022 NBAA-BACE. It has the longest range of 8,000 nautical miles. The test pilot explained the flight test program and the experimental airplane. New electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) and advanced air mobility (AAM) vehicles are also on display. I met up with many aviators there to see their favorite airplane.
A year ago, I toured the Cirrus Vision Jet at NBAA. This year I flew in one to the show! The opportunities created from networking and face-to-face meet at the NBAA-BACE is like no other. It is the greatest Business Aviation event.

The aircraft show was amazing though short. I wanted to tour each of the business jet manufacturer in detail. Gulfstream, Cessna, bombardier, Dassault falcon and others. Nevertheless, it was amazing. Thanks.

It look to me that he was following through on the sidestick but had the thrust lever on landing once the landing was assured. A bit like the video of Kim Jong Un, The Great Leader flying the plane.

Vision sf50 would be great if weren't so damn slow for a jet. I'm guessing the max power all the way to landing indicates the jet is underpowered or has less than great glide characteristics??

The Cirrus Vision is the perfect private jet to fly around rather than being flown around. If Gulfstream G800 is a chauffeur limousine, then Cirrus Vision is the coupe, meant to be driven(flown)!
Damn Benz Aviation, bro I watch your videos! It's quite crazy to think that Vision Jet costs JUST as much as a Bugatti, sure enough that's still 3 million dollars but relatively "affordable" for an aircraft.
@@pontiuspilot2542 Thank you! Indeed that the jet costs reasonable for a jet although you gotta remember our boy Cessna 172 where you'll find it used for around $80,000... Price of a fully-loaded Ford F-150.
I do agree. Flying inside the Vision Jet is fun. It is like GA handling so a perfect plane to step up from GA. For anything bigger, then being flown around is the way to travel!

@@BenzAviation but the Cessna 172 is also very slow. $80,000 for a small plane with a max cruise speed of less than 150 KTAS. Also the Cessna has technology from the 70’s and 80’s.

Love this jet. I hope they build a twin-engine one day, WITH the parachute plus a longer range and rough strip capable. Would be the ultimate over-water adventure machine. Nice work as usual Sam 👍😀⭐
??? Their advantage is making a single engine and if two engines they will enter into a crowded market.
@@truthful3777 I get that however they've been able to build a jet with a parachute. Doing so again in the small jet market with dual engines would make them stand out.

The yellow plane the "wisk" actually has potential. The biggest issue with drone based craft is the lack of inherit flight. That craft looks like it could glide on total engine/battery failure.

You don't need a autopilot to land a aircraft. Landing is easy. However walking away from that landing is the real challenge.
