    Well explained and excellent experimenting!
    Although neck speakers or correctly placed speakers can work very well with binaural recordings, just try it and experiment with the volume levels to get the best effect. When working with speakers, a good angle is 45 degrees either side of your head and at head height, but experiment with the placement.
