      Yeah man I think if people take the time to comment (good or bad) I should take the time to respond. I appreciate the compliment 🙌🙌

    Great summary of things you've been trying. I never thought of the cleaning angle for pulley wheels. I live in a wet climate so heavy oil chain lube is usually required, and it gets really gunky around the stock Shimano wheels needing a screwdriver to dislodge after every few rides. A pulley wheel with less material for the loam to build up on might be useful. Or create more corners to get dirt stuck in. I might test this budget option for sludge resistance.

      Yeah that’s a good call. Definitely worth testing 👍. Thanks for watching 🤙

    Nice breakdown of the components and great vid as usual. Above all else I’m definitely eyeing up those Fillmore valves. Hopefully they will become a standard moving forward.

      Thank you! 🙌 absolutely give them a try. It’s one of those products you’ll wonder why you didn’t buy them sooner. They just work better 🤷‍♂️

    I like silent hubs 😂 but it is nice to let people no your coming there way 😅

      @TheDustyDutchman  8 месяцев назад

      Yeah that’s definitely a nice benefit to loud hubs. But I’m starting to think silent is better too

    Quicker engagement is better so not garbage. But 18t is horrible engagement, weird to have that stock. I have 54t ratchet but want to try quicker engaging hubs. But having to pay for an upgrade when it could have been already installed is garbage.

    • @TheDustyDutchman
      @TheDustyDutchman  11 месяцев назад

      Yeah I totally agree. 18t is way too low for a good hub like the DT Swiss 350 and I also don’t think I should have to pay $100+ dollars to upgrade it. But I do think the upgrade cost is worth it on a MTB.

      @@TheDustyDutchman For me it is, I noticed the gain from 8 deg something Hope Pro 4 to the 6 deg something I got on the DT Swiss. with 54t. quicker the engagement Farther I travel with each stroke.

      Yeah I totally agree. Higher engagement is better. I just don’t think it’s as much of a benefit on my gravel bike compared to my MTB.

    100 miles just does not seem like enough miles to thoroughly review the pulleys and they're already flaking. Do you have an update on them? Has their performance gotten worse?

    • @TheDustyDutchman
      @TheDustyDutchman  6 месяцев назад

      Correct, 100 miles certainly isn’t a “long term” review. I’ve got a couple hundred more miles on them now and the performance hasn’t changed, they just do their thing back there. As far as the anodization wearing off it’s pretty much the same as well. Possibly a little more green has worn off but it’s so minimal it’s hard to tell. I rarely ride in muddy or sandy conditions so I’m sure that helps preserve the anodizing a little.
