@@Gosick02 I'm not sure if I feel completely qualified to speak on that quite yet as I'm only a sophomore who has recently switched to the major. I will say that I think most people end up going into researcher roles and getting a PhD. I am personally looking to work in BioTech and/or go to medical school. What year are you?

Hi, Great question! I am considering working as a SWE for a BioTech company after graduating. There is potential that I may apply to med schools. 6-7 (cs and bio) is a great major since I could work in a number of roles from bioinformatics, data science, swe to lab work (i have some wet lab experience) or research roles.
@@franklinnguyen thank you for responding. I am looking at the roadmap and there are Programming #1&2, and Algorithms (6.006, 6.046). Do you think you would have enough training for SWE?
@@ambrosia_123 I think so! I'm planning on taking additional classes beyond my major including Linear Algebra, Elements of Software Construction, and Introduction to Machine Learning.

It really just depends on where my interests grow and develop which will dictate how I search for jobs.
