Welcome to my Nez Perce Language project. This is how I learned and how I managed to keep the language current and fun! I love my lil ones, keep up the good work!
Niixpam ku, chi iwa payu niix nami tananmaiyai!! Good Job, this is good for the people!! Language revitalization is needed as our speakers begin to make their way home. I hope you are still learning/teaching!! I have used this intro video for my students to show the difference in the dialect difference in the Nez Perce Sahptin and the Warm Springs Sahptin introduction.
Atleast you can speak some of the language. Sadly my grandmother forgot how to speak the language, she remembers bits and pieces but it not much. I really wish I could learn atleast our spoken language, it would be nice to pass something on to the children I may have one day.
So good to see you Ezra. -Gayla Gould-
