You've taught me a bit, but the most important lesson so far has been to let go and let auto-aim happen sometimes. I know how to move and fire, but I wasn't getting anywhere doing it ALL myself. I thought the default aimbot was just a crutch for losers, but your patient tutorials have shown me the light. Crimsonland is a harsh teacher. (5000+ hrs on old Crimsonland, almost 1300 on the STeam version)
Haha yeah, the control freak in me wants to aim everything, but sometimes the computer is better at it!
@@Cephalopocalypse The computer can divide its attention, aim is everything on 1 bad guy. It'd be cool if we could select a weapon or multiples, to include/exclude from aiming.
Funny how I've been edging and struggling to beat the 5D of this character for two days now to the point were I completely overlooked that he has negative health debuffs and damage increase buffs.
I always thought that I just get 50 range with this character and that's it. This guide helped me a lot with stat thresholds and how damage multipliers work in this game though so hopefully I can beat it tomorrow
First time I tried this, I got one-shot by the elite. Second time I tried this, I won!
1 Level 4 Shotgun
1 Level 2 SMG
3 Level 4 SMGs
1 Level 3 SMG.
“Baby with a Beard”,“Tardigrade”, “Silver Bullet”, and 2 instances of piercing were the MVPs of this run.
24 characters now done on Danger 5.

Hockey hands down for sports--you're one of the few people I've heard using chaff regularly in my entire life. We named our band that (because self-deprecation is rad, right?) and so many people called us chafe... which was still funny. Great video my guy

I am currently on Day 3, attempt #17 at trying to beat the game on the highest difficulty for the first time with the Ranger.
I tried so many different strategies, weapons, builds, mindsets etc and just can’t win. That final wave with the 2 bosses is so overwhelming.

@Cephalopocalypse yo same! Got the bottom row of characters to D5, and my PC was in the shop so I've been on hiatus, but yeah, was doing a little bit mashtato, got some fascinating characters on there
I forgot which guide of yours was the one I found, but I know I found you when trying to see if anyone's posted a successful Danger 5 200% run. I wonder if it's as brutally difficult as 64 Heat in Hades.
I think only a very few people have gotten a verified win on 182% (I am not one of them), and only with a few classes, so it's pretty darn hard! I got up to about 45 heat in hades before I moved on to other games, I couldn't say which is harder but both seem very difficult. Like everyone else, I can't wait for Hades 2!
@@Cephalopocalypse As of right now, I believe there is currently only one person who beat 64 heat unmodded and unseeded. Previous 64 heat clears used mods and seeds to make the starts of attempts more consistent.

I had a good build and was so close to beating the raid boss, but he hid in a bunch of enemies and since I had no piercing they just acted as a shield. I swear. Piecing is essential and I never find it.
Edit: I just got piercing and beat the hat run. Maybe I just suck, but I really needed that piecing.
Ooh hey! About the 25 percent reduced hp modification. Is that everything, or can Ghost Scepter bypass that?
It's everything - ghost scepter, the 1 hp you get from levelling - it all gets reduced!
Lol, I almost won my first ranger run and I only lost because of the same you mentioned in the beginning. Buying weird ghost while having an item that makes me lose 1 HP every second. RIP

Yes! You need to turn it on in options - I recommend having it set to "on mouse press" so you can choose when to use it!

This was recorded a long time ago, but it looks like we just had a lot of ranged damage and pretty low attack speed, so we needed the attack speed more. Scope is generally on the weak side as an item, because it works against itself, so I tend to only buy it if we're in a spot where we really need flat damage
so squishy, i had trouble with him on danger 1 lol
The max HP loss is so deceptively hard! It really does not look like a bad character but it's very rough to play
