Could we get Jack Howard Hypothetical Sequel pitches during this time of isolation? Such as what you’d do with the next Bond Film, the next Mission Impossible, Spiderman (new and old) etc. Thank you, dad
I'd love to see you talk about your journey with therapy. But if that's a bit too vulnerable.... a video about a movie you LOVE but don't consider Good.
i feel so guilty that im having the TIME of my LIFE chillin at home w/o guilt when people are out there suffering so im feeling guilty that im NOT feeling guilty anyways love u jack!
This was very very interesting. The parts where you talked about making How To Go To Heaven and Goblin, honestly, was gold for me. Can you please do a video (WITH DEAN) breaking down little things about creating Jack and Dean content? I think we'll love that.
I am not a big film person, not really into the ins and outs of film making. I don’t even really enjoy watching movies that much, if I’m being completely honest. But, man, I could listen to Jack talk about films and filmmaking for HOURSSSSSS.
You are so right about the Edgar Wright style. I am in film school right now as an editor and every DoP and Director I talk to in preproduction and Edgar Wright is ALWAYS coming up with for style inspiration. Very wise boy Jack.
Currently very bed bound with what is suspected symptoms of this wild illness thats going round, really appreciative of the list of things to watch on Netflix, and normal videos like this that aren't corona based, for giving me something to do. Watched Jaws for the first time and it is bloody excellent
I love love love love how passionate you are about filmmaking and how much you know about it!!!! I could listen to you talking about films and production forever!! Love your content jack!! Keep it up 👏🏻
Emotional Baggage is my absolute favourite of your youtube skits. for a very long time my favourites were new car and superglue because they made me giggle so much. But Emotional Baggage not only made me laugh a lot but it spoke to me especially the ending. It was just a simple concept, expertly cultivated and polished, and I genuinely cannot think of a skit from any entertainer that I like more that one. Just wanted to say that. :)
Hah I love that you used The Goblin as an example for story structure, I showed that to my students last semester in an Intro to Screenwriting class to demonstrate the exact same concept!
I watched Jaws about 117 times before the age of 8. I can't imagine wanting to watch it again now. It's like when you've had the same meal every day for months.
I love the way you handle this situation with care and sensitivity but also in a way that is new, refreshing and short. Especially the title of this video. It gets clicks but doesn't clickbait. I knew exactly what the video was so I clicked. Thanks for yourself, Jack Howard
Thanks for the response Jack!!! I'm looking forward to when I eventually start making film and finally being in that family mindset on set. -soup spoon
Everytime I watch a video of yours I am left so inspired. The little comments and facts you make about the various directors’ styles and practices have informed my own style and made me go out and do more research. Although it’s very boring being stuck at home right now this video just made me so excited to go to uni to do film production in September and made me think I should have another crack at my screenplay. Please make more of these they’re great
I find it difficult to keep up with podcasts because I usually listen to them on commutes and sometimes I'm not in the mood for a podcast and blah blah blah. Anyway, my point is whenever you tell us there's a new Kermode On Film episode out with the both of you I make it my next thing to listen to. I love hearing good conversation about films (and I really like talking out loud as if I'm also in the conversation even though I know you can't hear me). Actually, would love to hear you and Mark discuss your favourite Fincher films/other directing endeavours (such as his television work). Basically you're great, Jack. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for doing this! I love listening to you talk about filmmaking, you're so clear and concise in the way you talk about things - I especially enjoyed the key in the lock analogy, so interesting
Thank you from the core of our hearts and wish you become an out of the box filmmaker. We almost all the time enjoy your little big company. Happy to learn what and how you follow movies and dislikes about some popular ones, but we, most of us, do not always go to watch movies with a certain frame in mind. We just try sometimes to nourish ourselves with unreal moments of the particular movie even though we knew them much before. May be the portrayal of characters and some shots do not go with what we actually think should have been to be commensurate with the kind of movie. For example we still love to watch Superman even though we know the movie is a cliche today and it can hardly benefits the cause of seeing it from a filmmaker's point of view but I said hardly, my be there's another aspiring or budding filmmaker, who can bandy.
Hi Jack, I met you at a RUclips gathering in Birmingham YEARS and YEARS ago.. do you remember?! It was when the German market was on and we all hung out in a cafe.
Being a fellow lazy creative person, I identify with your statement. Especially in the world we currently live in, I am not feeling creative AT ALL at the moment. And that's making me not want to do stuff. Then I feel lazy. I think I just need to push through but also, I don't currently have the emotional energy. I need to make something for the sake of making something. Thanks :)
Jaws is great! If you haven't seen it, turn all the lights off and turn the sound up. dun dun dun dun The close-ups of the faces in Jaws made all the difference in some of the scenes. I liked your goblin film!
I dunno If this is lame but id just love to hear more about you and dean. E.g experiences on set, stories about writing together, moments you've had together that are just either funny, heartwarming or shocking whatever. Just like behind the scenes shit we dont know about.
great video!! i’m a young aspiring editor, i know you edit quite a lot of your own films, i would love to watch a video of you talking about editing and tips and tricks, basics, it’s history etc etc. not a lot of people talk about it as much as it deserves! 💕
Every Christopher Nolan movie I’ve seen has put me to sleep. Don’t ask me why, I have no idea. Sometimes it’s just a lil nap, others it knocks me out for the rest of the film or the rest of the night.
We keep an array of dips in the fridge for pizza night. You can rest assured that I say "dips" in the best Dean as the goblin voice I can muster every time.
i put jaws on my watchlist after your last video and then i took it off and decided i didn’t want to watch it. thinking this is a sign that i need to 😬
Real quick; thanks Jack for confirming that I'm not the only one who hears "we're all in this together" as a high school musical reference. Any time someone says that that song plays in my head
@@Envy_May the only bit I remember is that, and a tiny bit of the dance? It goes like your bouncing a basketball, bounce bounce throw throw... And that's all I've got
The way l do it is l draw a picture on some paper then l put wide sticky tape on the side the drawing is (so it has a glossy cover) then l put double sided tape on the other side so l can peel it off and stick it. l do recommend looking at other videos about it🙂
I'm a MUA (makeup artist)for movie students and small productions. I also teach students how to work with a MUA and what to prep for them,... I always get the question 'how do you know when a person is a good MUA?' I have my answer, but i was wondering what you would say.
Every time I come back to watch a Jack Howard video, I realise that while you can remove a lad from Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire, you cannot remove the subtle Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire accent from the lad
Could we get Jack Howard Hypothetical Sequel pitches during this time of isolation? Such as what you’d do with the next Bond Film, the next Mission Impossible, Spiderman (new and old) etc.
Thank you, dad
I didn't realise I needed this until now 😂 really hope he makes this video
Oy, I thought we had collectively decided there was no such thing as a Kingsman 2 movie.
Sorry yes you're right
I'd love to see you talk about your journey with therapy. But if that's a bit too vulnerable.... a video about a movie you LOVE but don't consider Good.
Jack : "weird quarantine world ending time"
*anxiety intensifies*
The silver lining of this lockdown is the fact you're uploading. Hope you're safe :)
i feel so guilty that im having the TIME of my LIFE chillin at home w/o guilt when people are out there suffering so im feeling guilty that im NOT feeling guilty anyways love u jack!
There is no merit in you feeling guilty about something that you can’t change anyways. Please just be happy ;)
This was very very interesting. The parts where you talked about making How To Go To Heaven and Goblin, honestly, was gold for me.

Jack saying Happy Birthday to me on my birthday in isolation was all I needed
"give it a little like as well because if you liked it that just makes sense doesn't it"
*truer words have never spoken on this platform*
You are so right about the Edgar Wright style. I am in film school right now as an editor and every DoP and Director I talk to in preproduction and Edgar Wright is ALWAYS coming up with for style inspiration. Very wise boy Jack.
Also, Emotional Baggage fucking wrecked me, even just seeing that final shot again made me shed a tear.
I would love to hear a Jack Howard list of female directors. As someone who is movie illiterate, it would be a great resource to have
Currently very bed bound with what is suspected symptoms of this wild illness thats going round, really appreciative of the list of things to watch on Netflix, and normal videos like this that aren't corona based, for giving me something to do. looking remarkably smart considering you can't leave the house, jack
Who knew it would take a pandemic for Jack to upload again.
Kingsman is my absolute favourite film. Ever. Kingsman: The Golden Circle personally offends me.
I love love love love how passionate you are about filmmaking and how much you know about it!!!! I could listen to you talking about films and production forever!! Love your content jack!! Keep it up 👏🏻
This was a casual reminder for me to watch jaws

A friend of mine literally just asked me for spy film recommendations that are not James bond. So the podcast is LITERALLY MADE for her

I love how knowledgeable you are with film and story
JAWS is a FANTASTIC film I watchnit at least once a year, I stan
you should make a video about your editing process, like how you decide what to keep, and where to use different types of cuts!!
Everytime I watch a video of yours I am left so inspired. Hi Jack, I met you at a RUclips gathering in Birmingham YEARS and YEARS ago.. do you remember?! It was when the German market was on and we all hung out in a cafe.
Jaws was ruined for me at school. We watched it several times one term in English so we could write about techniques for creating tension.
This is fabulous! Also, I greatly appreciate your sense of humour.
favorite series of all time please
I love Kermode On Film podcast! Don't tell Mark, but I really only listen to the episodes with you on. x
🎶 We're all in this together 🎶
Thank you Jack!
Really enjoying the technical film centred videos Jack!
this was a v good video! 100% will use your advice in the future
i haven’t seen your face in years. glad you’re doing well
Social Network is now on US Netflix btw!!!
it would be cool to hear about your post-production process, from the initial edit all the way to colour grade and any vfx
Thank you for uploading on this channel a lot more. We all appreciate it so much in this time

How did I not see that Goblin sketch before now? Hilarious
Every Christopher Nolan movie I’ve seen has put me to sleep.
Don’t ask me why, I have no idea. Sometimes it’s just a lil nap, others it knocks me out for the rest of the film or the rest of the night.
honestly my love of movies is like such a recent thing? it's really me just chasing the feeling of watching inception for the first time.
I also hadn't seen Jaws. Have now - brilliant!
Name the comedies, Jack! Be brave!
Yay, I love videos about peoples' processes. Thanks, Jack :)
i really loved this video! as an aspiring filmmaker myself i love hearing tips about production! also jaws is my favorite movie of all time.

flowers is a great show you recommended, me and my dad adored it
as a film student, this really really helped!
I’m really glad
I just love jacks voice
were you as disappointed as I was with the laundromat? fell so flat for me!
Ugh yeahhhh. But Soderbergh isn't afraid to try shit and I respect him for it!
This was super useful and interesting to watch as a filmmaker myself :). Cheers Jack tc
Could you do a review on student films that draw from specific directors?
Love hearing more of your thoughts on filmmaking.
The title made me think of Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy
We keep an array of dips in the fridge for pizza night. You can rest assured that I say "dips" in the best Dean as the goblin voice I can muster every time.
Thanks for introducing me to Erin Brockovich, easily my top five.
This is brilliant, would love to see more content like this!
Thank chu jack Howard! I love you! ❤
Edit- And thanks but I already lost a loved one from this..^^
I'm sorry about that were you close to them?

Thank you Jack! This was super interesting. :)
You watch behind the scenes footage BEFORE the film?! - Savage.
Carry on making weekly videos!
Loved your video I have a question(dont know if youll see it or anything) whats the best video youve ever made?(stay safe too)
2:30 people don't do it because of accessibility: partial and full lipreaders benefit from the speaker's mouth being visible
Who else has learnt how to do something I have started making stickers without sticker paper it’s fun what ever loved the vid jack
Master of Lemon how do you make stickers without sticker paper?
The way l do it is l draw a picture on some paper then l put wide sticky tape on the side the drawing is (so it has a glossy cover) then l put double sided tape on the other side so l can peel it off and stick it. l do recommend looking at other videos about it🙂
Master of Lemon that’s interesting, thanks for replying :)
No problem 🙂
honestly would thoroughly enjoy it if you just did an entire video about Jaws
Inception is so good!
Dude, where did you get that shirt? Looks awesome.
Don't hate me but I really liked Kingsmen 2

wholesome and wonderful jack
Thanks jack i hope ur good too 🙂
Could you do a video on your top actors and actresses?
i would be interested to hear a video about your opinions on sitcoms and what it was like to make one and the best ones out there
Jack, u shoulda said be like verna fields. Shes the one who said they shouldnt put the ugly robot shark in the film
Every time I come back to watch a Jack Howard video, I realise that while you can remove a lad from Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire, you cannot remove the subtle Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire accent from the lad

Alright I’m going to go watch jaws
love it
Jaws is to terrifying
I get scared way to easily...
Everyone stay safe, all the love x
Hey Jack! Stay Safe!
Do you like Wes Anderson films? If you are unfamiliar with his work I suggest you have a look as he is a fantastic director
