I’m from Dumaguete based here in california… I just brought 3 of my good friends here with their spouses and children last month august 28-31st. Their first impressions are that people are calm and so gentle and friendly. They love the place and the clean air, they even blurted they wanted to retire in Dumaguete even though originally their families are from batangas.
u guys experiences in Dumaguete gets me connected every time i watched ur videos. Keep it up.

Piayaya, Biscocho, Mamon Tostado,Barquillios, White round cookie, Pasenscia biscuits. There is really a lot of tasty food. You can also go to a Pasalubong Stall and try more Filipino snacks :)

if you want rambutan, it's actually quite cheap right now. In my municipality, it can go as low as 30 pesos per kilo.
"Sakto" means "just right" or "just what you need", like when you open a pack and be full afterwards without finishing the entire pack, or in spending you say "sakto sa budget" means the budget for anything matches the spending you made

I recommend "Toasted Mamon" from bongbong's pasalubong choices. It is greatly paired with a cup of coffee or any hot drink of your choice :)

You may add 1 or 2 flavorful delicacy to your usual piyaya from Bongbong's each time you go there so you can taste everything and and decide which you like best... you have slowly accustomed to Filipino way of life... just ask for neighbor's help if you need one... Filipinos are helpful...

Siquijor the enchanted island of witches,hehe..thats a good way to scare people from coming there so that it will not be crowded most Filipinos are afraid to come there but lot of foreign tourist visit the island.
dont throw the rambutan seeds, just put water and boil it, after peel it/ remove the skin, cook in an oil until brown, do not burn it, just brown. its delicious than peanut. try it👍👍👍😋😋😋😋😋
