    You don’t need mini tool to convert from mbr to gpt. You can go to command prompt , type disk part in command prompt then, you can type list disk. After you typed list disk, you can select the disk by doing select disk 1, or whatever number is at the end. After you selected the disk, type convert gpt. If you need to clean the disk you can just simply type clean

      A virus program is active only after starting the OS where the virus itself is located.
      The second OS is not running at this time, so the virus cannot penetrate the disabled OS.

      To install Windows on a second physical disk, and then format the first disk and use it as data storage, do the following:
      1. Prepare a bootable USB flash drive to install new Windows on the second disk.
      2. Turn off the computer, unplug the power cable or SATA cable from the first drive, and connect the second drive to the computer.
      3. Install new Windows on the second disk.
      4. Turn off the computer and connect the SATA cable or power cable to the first drive.
      5. Turn on the computer and immediately call up the boot menu, select the second disk and press Enter.
      Now you can transfer the necessary files from the first disk to the second disk, then format the first disk and this will not affect Windows on the second disk.

    Instead of upgrading, I prefer to keep the Win10 on the existing SSD incase something happen. I spent a small amount of money asking the shop to make a NEW installation of Win11 on a NEW SSD or mSATA SSD depending on the internal space for the NEW SSD. So NOW I have 2 SSDs and 2 Windows on the SAME laptop. I can choose to boot to W10 or W11 by passing the F12 key and to select the drive I want. I am trying to install two instances of Windows 11 on the same computer. Unfortunatelly, when I am installing the new system, I am loosing the access to the already existing one, as bootloader is replaced. How can I install two W11 systems and keep both bootable?

    • @ipMalik
      @ipMalik  6 месяцев назад +2

      Yes, when installing a second Windows you will get this problem and this happens because the new Windows “sees” the first OS. But there is a way to get around this problem and to do this you need to do the following:
      1. Before installing Windows number 1, disconnect the SATA cables from all other drives of your computer, and of course, before disconnecting and connecting the SATA cable to the drives, you must turn off the computer every time. If there are other drives connected to your computer for storing data, then they should all be disconnected until you install both Windows on two drives.
      2. After installing Windows number 1, disconnect the SATA cable from the drive with Windows number 1 and connect the drive on which you will install Windows number two.
      3. After installing Windows 2 on the second disk, turn off the computer again and now you can connect SATA cables to all disks. When you finish all this, turn on the computer and enter the BIOS, open the Boot tab and in boot priority put in first place the disk with Windows that you will use most. Press F10 and save changes. The computer will reboot and Windows will automatically be loaded, which you set first in the BIOS as a boot priority.
      4. To boot your computer with Windows number 2, you need to turn on or restart the computer and immediately call the Boot Menu, in this menu you can select the Windows you need.

      @@ipMalik Hi. Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, the issue I have here could be more complex. I am trying to install these system son M.2 (NVME) drives, which makes disconnecting them much more awkward. I have tried installing both systems with both drives in, and it didn't work. After that, I removed one drive and installed the second system again, but I couldn't load it up after inserting the drive with the first system. I have installed the first system again, with the second one still connected to the PC, and it worked??? I am still trying to understand why Windows decided to see both bootloaders this time. It is a mystery which I may never solve :D Anyway, thank you for your help :)

    • @Ji-James
      @Ji-James 6 месяцев назад

      @@jamjestrysiek Hi.
      Yes, Windows sometimes gives us riddles🙂
      Of course, connecting and disconnecting NVME is much more difficult than HDD or SSD, but if you do as I suggested in the previous comment, then in the future you will NEVER have problems with the Windows bootloader.
      I assume that when installing the OS on two different physical disks, the problem with the Windows boot loader occurs for the following reason:
      At the time of installing Windows number 1, the bootloader can install Windows on drive C on the first NVME drive, and the bootloader sends a small system partition or some element of Windows number 1 that supports the operation of the OS to drive 2 NVME.
      When you start installing Windows number 2 on the second NVME disk, the bootloader formats the second disk and deletes the small system partition that belongs to Windows number 1.
      As a result, Windows number 1 stops working..
      After that, you again install Windows number one on the first disk, and if its small system partition ends up on the second disk, Windows 1 will work without problems.
      But if you reinstall Windows number 2, or some problem happens to Windows number 2, then Windows number 1 will stop loading again.
      On the computer where I do most of my work, two SSDs are connected and different Windows are installed on each disk, which I installed independently of each other in the same way as I told you in the previous comment.
      I do the main work in Windows 11 on disk 1, on the second disk I constantly reinstall various OSes, which is necessary for my activities, and before each installation I disconnect all other disks from the computer so that there are no problems with the bootloader.

    • @jamjestrysiek
      @jamjestrysiek 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@Ji-James So, does it mean tnat if I will lose the system which was installed as the second, I will also loose ability to log to both of systems?

    • @ipMalik
      @ipMalik  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@jamjestrysiek This will depend on the reason why the second OS is lost - if you simply reinstall the second system or format the second disk, then the bootloader that supports loading the first OS may be deleted along with the files on the second disk.
      I will also add that this fact may not necessarily happen, that is, not 100%, but it may well happen depending on how the OS was initially installed and which OS was installed as number 1 in Boot Priority.
      Something like this has already happened on your computer when you lost access to one of the OS.
      Only disconnecting all disks from the computer except the one on which you will install Windows will protect against this kind of problem.
      Moreover, the disconnection does not have to be physical, that is, disconnecting the SATA cable or, in your case, disconnecting the NVME from the motherboard; you can also disconnect one of the drives in the BIOS before installing the OS and not remove the NVME from the computer.
      After installation in the BIOS, disconnect the disk with the new OS and connect a second disk to install the second OS.
      I hope that now I have told you everything in detail.

    How can you have that android-like, relaxing, no-gender, professional, not emotional but still warm and reassuring voice? It's driving me nuts...

      I'm sorry, but I have to use a robotic voice for the only reason - I just have bad diction...
      Alas..

      @@ipMalik laptop sir, i was planning to buy an ssd +caddy and replacing my dvd slot with it
      Its supposed to be just for backup but im thinking why not installing windows 10 on it too. (My current os is windows 7)

      @@Hyde_Tolut I understood you.
      If you connect the SSD yourself, then apparently it will not be difficult for you to do the following:
      1. Before connecting the second drive, make a bootable USB flash drive for Windows 10
      2. Connect the SSD to the laptop and disconnect the drive with Windows 7; to do this, you can remove the SATA cable or power cable from the drive with Windows 7.
      3. Connect a bootable USB flash drive to the laptop and install Windows 10 on the SSD; installing a new Windows 10 in this way will not affect the disk with Windows 7 in any way.
      4. After this, you can reconnect the cable that you disconnected earlier to the Windows 7 drive.
      5. Immediately after turning on the laptop, enter the BIOS, and in the Boot section, set the boot priority to the first disk that will be your main one.
      6. You can also choose which Windows to boot using the Boot Menu, that is, after turning on the laptop, you need to call up the Boot Menu, select the required disk and press Enter.
      This method of installing two OSes on two physical disks is the safest for saving data on both disks.

      @@ipMalik ah, i was reading something similar in some forum about needing to disconect the main disk before installing, but im not quite sure how or why, i will try this when i get the new disk
      thanks a lot for the help sir, thank you for your time, appreciate it a lot.

      @@Hyde_Tolut If you install Windows 10 on the second disk, you need to disconnect the first disk so that later the two Windows can work independently of each other.
      Then any problem on one of the Windows will not affect the other Windows.

      I don’t know what exactly caused your reluctance to watch this video, but I can say in advance that when I said “computer”, I meant a desktop computer, which includes a separate system unit, a separate monitor and a separate mouse😊
