  • This ride starts in Lee's Summit, MO, and runs 15.3 miles to the end in Independence, where I turn around and come back. It was a nice, sunny day in March, highs around 58, wind 7mph from the west.
On this ride, I was experimenting with shooting in 4K again, on auto. Back to basics. I wanted to see how GoPro, iMove and RUclips handle all the foliage on my GoPro defaults.
I also incorporated additional footage from my first GoPro, a Hero+, with a top resolution of 1080p and no image stabilization. I think it did well. iMovie made it easy to create Picture in Picture with the extra footage.
Along the way, I met another cyclist, and we became friends. We are looking forward to more rides in the future.

I'm 53 years old now, but when I was 16 years old, my brother,(10 years older than myself,)came back home to stay with us until he found the place of his own. He had just finished his service in the Air Force. While overseas he had bought a new Peugeot bicycle. If I remember right, it had more than 12 gears. It was so light and movable that I could blow by moving traffic, and I believe, if I'm remembering right, that the speed limit was 35 miles an hour in the areas I was riding it. My son loves to ride and I regret not hanging on to that bicycle. I believe it was left in the garage, and later on sold in a garage sale. That's a beautiful bike you have there.

      Thanks, Michael.
Those Peugeot's were nice! Sounds like you had a lot of fun on it! There's nothing quite like the feeling of speed you get while riding a road bike.
There's a shop about 37 miles away in Lawrence, KS, called "Sunflower Outdoor & Bike" that has one on the wall. I think it belonged to the guy who started the shop decades ago. I do have a classic Eddy Merckx bike, though. I ride it occasionally.
I'm about to post another commute ride video, this time on a northern route. Some really big climbs which lead to speedy descents! I think you'll like it. I have to let it process overnight tonight.

@@mcpastor63 I believe I watched the video with you riding the Eddie Merokx bike going south on Indian Creek trail and following it to its end then turning back around. if I'm correct, that was the video where all the water fountains were not working.
Looking forward to watching the new video tonight. I saw it posted, but I was a little tired and went to bed early after riding my wheelchair to a doctor's appointment and back. God bless.

Thanks! That was fun to try. I’ll probably get a little handle for it to make it easier.

Thanks! It's the closest I've found around here to the Canton trail we ride.
