The Pontiac Grand Am GT. GM's best selling car for many years. I owned 3 of them (1992, 1998, and 2005) . Also owned and rebuilt a 1997 Grand Prix GT and 1999 Grand Prix GTP. These cars were all beasts and had one of the best motors ever made. I just finished rebuilding an 07 G6. I miss Pontiac.

I don't know how many I have rebuilt overtime. And they always make good money. Thanks for another great video. You take care and have a good weekend.
Those Camrys still bring good money here for what they are. The parts are a little more pricey. I don't mind them, they sell fast, they are just hard to find at a good price for me. Yeah, cheap cars never seem to get cared for very well. All the people that say these are junk are people that didn't take care of them. I have had a few pass the 300k mark with no major repairs. Thanks for watching.
I have been doing them since the 3100 back in the 90s. I have seen all the different updates and fixes. They got better with every variation. The metal gaskets seem to be the best so far. They are also the newest though so I have only seen them performing for a few years. My 04 has 150k on the current plastic set.
So glad I discovered this video. I've got a buddy with an 02 Bonneville that has similar damage, and I've only speculated on how to fix it. This is an excellent road map! Subscribed!!

The truck you called 'mistake' came out looking very good!! I've actually seen the truck in person sitting in your driveway. I was headed to Lockport when I noticed it. Great content on rebuilds!!
It is a little dirty after its 2000 miles worth of road trips last week. I guess I can't keep any future rebuilds there or it will be a give away. lol Thanks for watching!
@@vehcor LOL, if I'm able to ever see a rebuild that you purchase. Before you actual start the rebuild, I think that would be more interesting. Maybe we could meet one day, I actually live right here in Lemont, not far from you.
It’s kind of weird, but the sense of satisfaction one always feels after accomplishing a repair or an upgrade to, in this case, an auto repair, I feel without lifting a finger. I’d say that this is a job well done for both of us! I ’m ready for the next phase of the repair whenever you are, my friend. (LOL)
You da Man!! You put those guns to good use..makes me want to buy a messed up grand am so I can practice what you did.. very educational thank you mr. vehcor!!

These cars are perfect for the driveway mechanics, everything is so easy on them. I did bring it inside since it got cold but I was lucky to have a 45 degree day in December to work outside. Thanks for watching.
I miss working on these years of cars in the dealership. So easy. There is a wrecked 03 Grand am GT ram air local to me for sale for a few hundred. 76k miles. Mint interior, clear title, needs minimum tires, battery, both fenders, bumper cover, a door etc. Nothing major but a lot of bolt on parts and will require a total repaint. Just not sure if juice is worth the squeeze. ,
I was with you until repaint..... not worth it sadly. I wish they were still worth more so it would be worth doing the bigger jobs. You are right they are so easy to work on. Thanks for watching.
I am not sure of your opinion of Chevy Trailblazers, but I would like to see you rebuild one. Mine is a 2002 LT with 230k on it and still going strong. As a disabled person, I may never get to do my own but someone should see the benefit of having this durable SUV rebuilt by you. Last word on the Chevy truck: I was amazed at the job you did in taking a wreck and turning it into a really nice rig. Thanks for the many hours I know you must put in to film and then edit your videos on top of repairing them.
I work on a few of the Trailblazers, Envoys and Rainiers. A bunch with over 300k. They are a pain to work on. It's like working on a Ford. lol I think they are good vehicles though. I have been looking for a TBSS so you may see one here some day. Thanks for the support!

I had a 96 GA with the 3.1 for 13 years and loved it except for when I had the infamous leaking intake manifold gasket. I’m betting you’ve replaced a few of those gaskets!
I have replaced soooooooo many of those intake gaskets. I just did head gaskets on one last week. It was a common failure but if caught in time, could be repaired with no long term affects. Thanks for watching!
I didn't like them until a customer wanted one back in 99. I learned to like them and when the SC/T appearance package came out in 02, I really like them. Thanks for watching!
It's just a little job so it will be finished in the next video, although it will be a long one since I could not edit part of it. Thanks for watching.
yea thxx again for your help i got that hose in and like you said it was hard but i got it and i just had to fix something with the rocker arm my car is officially fixed thanks so much again
I bought a new 2000 Grand Am GT, two door. I wanted to love it. The size, the solid feel, the looks and adequate power. But! Terrible brakes, terminal understeer and unreliable electronics defeated me. I traded it for a 2002 Grand Prix GTP, which I still have and is my only car.
Brings back nightmares of my 2001 Grand Am GT 2dr. It was a fun car to drive, but it had all sorts of 'what the heck?; engineering ideas. Especially the window lifts. IIRC, I replace the passenger side 3 times. I was wondering how many videos I would need to watch before I saw some fresh blood on one of your hands...
The two doors were the worst for the regulators breaking. Too much window for all the little plastic parts. lol I didn't even notice I cut my self until I edited the video. I don't even feel it any more. lol Thanks for watching.
Yep as many times as you've done these, you should be able to wear that blind fold and do the whole job. Can't blame you for sticking with a car you know. There cheap, decent cars and easy to work on. I wish we had inspections here that way i could get cars a rebuilt title. In this state they just let you drive on a salvage title because there are no inspections of any kind.
We will see how the blindfold thing turns out! lol I wish all cars were this easy to work on. They are pretty reliable if you take care of them as well. Thanks for watching.
I have a 2005 Grand AM. I just wrecked it. Could I send you pics of the damage and do you think you could tell me if you think its something an amateur could do in the driveway? :D The car still runs great the damage looks easily repairable, but I'm no expert. You make everything look like cake.
I knew a guy in Omaha that only rebuilt insurance company salvage Pontiac vehicles. He did a lot that I remember seeing in mid 2000s. I can't imagine they bring much anymore, but they should be cheap to buy back from insurance for a decent return.

Glad you keeping another Pontiac alive, nice work as always, can't wait to see this finished, got the shirt too ,on order.
I must save all the Pontiacs. lol They aren't making anymore. It will be done next week. An easy job, quick series. I could have made it one but it would have been a long one since I could not edit next week's. Thanks for the support, enjoy your shirt!
I still like that year model Grand Am. Good money making rebuild. Every note lot has them so it shows their popularity.
When a car is close to 20 years old and you are still seeing them multiple times daily on the road, it says something. Thanks for watching.
Vola, another one out the door! That was a quick turn!
Almost, we'll finish it next week but you gotta love the one day jobs! lol Thanks for watching!
Quick and easy driveway fix! Always great stuff!
Yep, these are the kind just about anyone with a ratchet can do! Thanks for watching!
So much action in one video thanks
Thanks for watching!
Best rebuilding channel.
Thanks, I will do my best to keep the title!
Cuz pictures don't really do justice on damaged vehicles!! But keep all the good work going!! I enjoy watching your content on what you do!! Maybe we could meet one day, I actually live right here in Lemont, not far from you.
If the garage is open, stop by! If it is in my driveway wrecked, it is probably a rebuild.
I love the format of your videos how you explain what you are doing. Your videos have come a long way
Thanks, it just took a little help from the viewers and a little practice on my end. Thanks for watching.
(LOL)
I don't mind, when the camera is on it is like we are all working together. So, good job and see you next week! lol Thanks for watching!
You da Man!! You put those guns to good use..makes me want to buy a messed up grand am so I can practice what you did.. very educational thank you mr. vehcor!!
They are a good place to start. You can buy them at scrap prices these days. Even the low mile ones like this if you are patient. Thanks for watching.
You videos are awesome. I just bought a Ford ranger that was rolled to fix my own ranger. I'm also in the process of buying a Chevy Malibu that had a bad day in a ditch lol. I'd like to say I'm a pretty smart 15 year old becuase I have had 4 cars in the past year. Anyway man keep up your good work.
Thanks, keep up the rebuilds and flips. Use the money you make to buy more and bigger projects. That is what I did. Good luck and thanks for watching!
@@vehcor that's what I'm working at. I love working on salvage cars I find it alot more fun the mechanic work.
@@4-wheelsqueal974 I am a mechanic at my job, rebuilds are a nice break to do something different. Keep doing what you like, the money will follow!
I have the same addiction not quite 300 keep up the good work Thanks for the great videos
Together we can save them all! lol
Good old Canned Hams.... quick cash, fun cars! Great video!
Yep, may favorite cars to rebuild. Thanks for watching.
You make it look so easy!
Nah, it is mostly the car. lol Thanks for watching!
Made it look easy. Great work as always. Keep the videos coming.
This one was easy. lol That is why I like these cars so much! We will make the rest of the work a little more of a challenge. Thanks for watching.
wow you did all that in your driveway....you have great skill
These cars are perfect for the driveway mechanics, everything is so easy on them. I did bring it inside since it got cold but I was lucky to have a 45 degree day in December to work outside. Thanks for watching.
you should get rebuiler of the year for hat truck you rebuilt that was incredible
It was a lot of fun. I am looking forward to the next eventually.
Loving these videos man. It's nice to learn how to fix those small, yet annoying problems.
Thanks, I'll keep them coming!
i currently have a 04 grand am gt sedan and i love it keep up the great work
I also have a 2004 GT sedan. Thanks for watching. More videos are on the way.
Every video you make I always come out in the end learning something, and as always great content . 👍
Thanks, I'll see how long I can keep the streak alive! Thanks for watching!
You know how to fix right.i like
The way you do repairs.
Thanks for the confidence!
Lol at 9:21 I noticed your bleeding on your right hand. Gotta love working on cars, no pain no gain. Good vid
ruclips.net/video/sk2fXsnzirI/видео.html
I honestly didn't notice it until I watched the video. I don't even remember it after working on the car. Thanks for watching!
I liked these when they came out . Especially the Ram Air package
I didn't like them until a customer wanted one back in 99. I learned to like them and when the SC/T appearance package came out in 02, I really like them. Thanks for watching!
Have an 03 GT , thanks for the videos 👍
Great video I have fixed my 05 front end damage twice now
Thanks, I had one that was wrecked 3 times and totaled twice. It had 300k on it when I finally sold it. Thanks for watching.
Great Video! looking forward to seeing this projects development.
It's just a little job so it will be finished in the next video, although it will be a long one since I could not edit part of it. Thanks for watching.
yea thxx again for your help i got that hose in and like you said it was hard but i got it and i just had to fix something with the rocker arm my car is officially fixed thanks so much again
The rocker arm probably pulled the threads out of the head. Helicoils work great if that is your issue. Good luck on your repair!
You sure do love those Pontiac's. I'll bet you could repair one blindfolded.
I do, and we will find out Friday. Lol. Thanks for watching.
I love the quality of you work....onhestly good quality work is hard to fine anymore...
You would probably do a great job painting and doing the body work on my 2000 pontiac grand am
You’re videos are getting better and better man! There’s a clean/Fix for the multifunction switch. I’ve done it a few times before.
Thanks, it just takes practice. I have done the clean/fix before but it doesn't last. Thanks for watching.
your problem is our gain man. Love your content and process dude
by the way, like literally a minute later and im loving how much TLC you're giving to that crushed front secion
Oh it gets more! Lol thanks for watching and greeting from across the pond!
GM is way easier to work on and easy to fix the common issues than other brands *BRING BACK PONTIAC!!!*
I have to agree with your statements!
Aris Torm try changing a thermostat on a Chevy. It’s pretty difficult.
love everyhing about your channel, you cars are normal love it
Yep, I make my money on the sale so I have to have cars I can sell and not be into for more than a new one costs. Thanks for the support!
I really like and enjoy your videos
Thanks!
More!!! (as usual, quality work)
Looks like I am not the only one with an addiction! lol No problem, I'll get you some more, hang in until next week! Thanks for watching.
Love the videos. I wish I knew how to do all this stuff like you do.
Thanks, it just takes practice!
One of my favorite channels. I see a new video and click on LIKE before I even watch it. :)
Thanks, I hope to keep earning that like every time! Thanks for the support!
I have a 2005 Grand AM. I just wrecked it. Could I send you pics of the damage and do you think you could tell me if you think its something an amateur could do in the driveway? :D The car still runs great the damage looks easily repairable, but I'm no expert. You make everything look like cake.
"That's the least of that brake hose's worries" LOL 😅
It had a rough life!
I knew a guy in Omaha that only rebuilt insurance company salvage Pontiac vehicles. He did a lot that I remember seeing in mid 2000s.
I can't imagine they bring much anymore, but they should be cheap to buy back from insurance for a decent return.
I'm that guy in IL. lol I did some others but Pontiac was always a good brand for me to sell. Thanks for watching.
The commentary is epic!
Haha, thanks!
I want a grand am gt so bad again. Nice cars
I agree, I just sold mine after 20 years of always driving a GA.
@@vehcor- Whatever you do Scott, cherish the G8. I love mine. We have a lot in common. We have the same name, taste in cars, & actual cars. Mine is a white 2008 G8, & a 2004 white Grand Am GT sedan. I need more time in the gym though, my guns look like a midnight special compared to your bazookas. 🤣
Hello from Phoenix Arizona!
Good helpful little tips . good job !
That's what I am here for! Thanks for watching!
It's amazing how much the aluminum knuckle corroded in the steel strut mount common problem
Dissimilar metals + salt = corrosion. I have seen much worse. This car was pretty clean for a midwestern car. Thanks for watching.
Always loved these cars
Me too!
This is really getting to be interesting! Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
Man, that PDR work is fantastic! lol Kidding, I know shes gonna look like factory when youre done.
My PDR skills are a little rusty. lol Thanks for watching!
I’m almost surprised these are worth fixing! I feel like they can be found pretty cheap.
That being said. I enjoy watching the process!
That is the only reason I have stopped rebuilding them. This one was an easy fix, cheap, clean, and had low miles so it was worth it. Thanks for watching.
God I love these cars!! You get ahold of a red or black two door GT, and I’ll buy it from you!
There is one in Texas I was watching. It is not worth the cost of transport and rebuild but it only has 37k on it. I don't know if I can see it cut up. You'll know if I get it. Thanks for watching.
