Am I the only one that gets mad when people call you a poser for buying a board at Zumiez? I get it, Zumiez isn't a local skate shop but come on, It's a skateboard nonetheless.
KDXtreme ™ Zumiez actually isn’t as bad as many people say it is, whenever I broke my bearings or my trucks were loose, they fixed it for free. My only complaint is that you shouldn’t get griptape with a graphic because there’s a high chance they’ll put it on backwards. Happened to a friend of mine one time and he stopped buying graphics for his griptape. Plus, the workers are nice, I just make sure when they set-up my board, they actually skate rather than longboard. Lucky for me, a lot of the workers at my local Zumiez actually skate at my local park. I don’t see any huge problems really besides the fact that some of the people that work there don’t actually skate and aren’t really experienced with the skate brands and skate terminology.
@@AndWhoHasTimeForTears I live in Lincoln, Nebraska and it is a cool place to skate. It's one of those places where people would probably go like "Oh, this place seems like a lot of posers skate here, and the skateparks probably suck" We have an indoor skatepark called The Bay, and another skatepark I don't remember the name of. Since some of the zumiez workers at my local zumiez know people that work at the bay and it's own skate shop, Precision, they are very smart with skateboards and they know EXACTLY what they're doing. If anything's wrong with Zumiez, it's the ones in California, or any other popular areas making them look bad.
@@Shreddr999 Yes that’s what I did. It’s easy but you have to make sure that the parts will work together. Most will but you have to look out for hardware length if you are using riser pads. Deck width is a personal preference but make sure your truck width is around the same size. If you plan on using wheels over 56 mm I suggest getting some riser pads so you don’t get wheel bite but make sure your hardware will be long enough.

Viral X Switch I skated but my board was used and it sucked so I stopped but I got a nice board and I'm gonna go to Zumiez cuz I don't have any local skate shops and I've never set up a board so I'll ask them to do it and then I'll try myself whenever I get a new board
Dude don't let other people set your board up do it your self that's the best way to learn how to do it plus it's fun and it's fine if you mess up the grip tape a little unless it's a giant air bubble
I wouldn't call him a poser, just because he got the board from zumiez tbh, I would call him a beginner, like it's a mistake guys, we can all learn from them
Local skate shops also have poser workers too, I bought a board ad asked him to grip it and it had a ton of air bubbles. Then I asked him if they had wax, and he was like “those candles”
for me to custom it my self and them seting it up,waz about $100 or more, depends what u buy i got blind board thrasher trunks, ricta wheels with spit fire cheap shot bearings, and all wheel deck and trunks were rasta style, green yellow red black,
I always go 2 zumiez bcuz I don't have a local skateshop
ShItE AuTiSmO same
