But now she & Toby have done it to their own song by creating a jazzy/blues version for Toby's album "Piano Diaries." She slowed it down, reduced the power, changed the phrasing & added tons of melancholy to make it a totally different song that I think is her best work, to date & that's saying something. Most "Angels" prefer the jazzy version over this one, as good as it is. I would love to see you react to it as it's really a totally different song, but with the same lyrics. It all seems easy for her, but what a wonderful gift her voice is, every genre, every song is a fantastic show for us.This is a superlative duet with Jimmy Z and his fantastic harmonica, I love this exceptional girl and her wonderful live version of her song! Pleased and a bit amazed as I was thinking only yesterday that a bit of Wildness was what was missing in our Angelina fandom. Great reaction my friend. This was one of her recent performances with the great Toby Gad in her own live concert. This version is a little more upbeat with the backing drums and bass and piano etc. And as you can see it was recorded from the audience on a cell phone. The audio was up and down but Angelina's voice shone through absolutely wonderfully. This is her kind of coming out song for Angelina. Bad Valentine I think is putting her into the voice and woman that she's always sung like. But now that she is 18 and becoming a beautiful young woman, I think this one suits her a lot more. I would suggest if you get a chance. The Jazz version of this one recently came out and it's absolutely mind-blowing. It really really is her best version and brings out her Jazz DNA throughout the vocals and you can really feel that this is a breakup song and it will tear at your heartstrings for sure.
