- Philly songwriting duo Marian Hill’s 2016 single “Down” was first single off the duo’s debut album, Act One.
It was featured in an Apple commercial for the new AirPods and has blown up in the weeks since. One half of the duo Jeremy Lloyd recently sat down with Genius for the latest episode of Deconstructed to break down the hit.

I hear the song when it came out and thought it was ok. I just listened to it today on some great speakers and wow! the song is amazing. The vocals are perfect and when the beat drops, I am in heaven. Please put on some good head phones or listen with good speakers to appreciate the song.
Logic "The Incredible True Story" would be great. The instrumental is just amazing, it makes you fly in the universe
They need to add a 'love' button now - I freaking love how he broke this song down - 'production is the songwriting as much as the lyric...' as the channel says - genius. They will make great music for a long time to come if he keeps producing like this.
This is kind of like an ASMR video itself. He's not the most specific, but each of the individual sounds and how he breaks down the process of arranging the music is very fascinating. And soothing.
